    ARCHIVED Shakiness

Shirley, I know that I will never be the person that I was before I got sick. But is really makes me feel concerned. I try to do mind games with myself....For instance, when you lying in bed drifting off to sleep, sometimes I try to retrace my thoughts backwards. It is really hard to do, but I do think it will help keeping the brain muscle active. For example...

    ARCHIVED Shakiness

I get the hand shakes alot and it also seems to be associated with a dry mouth, somewhat slurred speach and stuggleing to find the right words. (brain fog). Sometimes I feel that I am walking sideways. Sometime, when I type, I find my fingers all over the key and can barely type a sentence. This is the scariest part of the symptoms for me, because...
  3. Nope, no twinkies on the island. Does any one know how to change my heading to the correct spelling or am I doomed to be the dumb butt of the day?

  5. She mentioned that on the today show of the "View". Her daughter Grace had a gluten free birthday cake for her first birthday. (which she hated, by the way - go figure) Wouldn't it be wonderful if she could get on board with us as a spokesperson.
  6. I have so many, but can't remember now. Will check in tomorrow, if I remember.
  7. After understanding that they had a gluten fee menu, we went there for lunch. I asked the waitress for the gluten free menu............Duh, what a ditts. She said, oh yeah, that's on the internet, we don't have it here in the restaurant. Next time, the manager is going to be sitting at our table. Thank God, I love mexican and Amy's food for breakfast...

  9. I'm going to flip back and forth to you post...........what you have eaten, which has gluten in.....pizza, hamburger with bun, ham, possible, crackers.. Unless you do not want to be tested, try: Breakfast: Eggs, Oscar Myer Bacon, Hillshire Farms Sausage, Yoplait Yogurt Lunch: Quaker Oats Rice Cakes, Peanut Butter with Smuckers Jam Corn Totti...
  10. Radman: My biopsy indicated that my villi were totally flattened. Celiac issue. It also indicated that I have a large hiatal hernia, which often share the same symptoms as Celiac, except for the volcanic flow through the butt. I got lost in my statement. I do believe that we vary grately in symptoms/ duration. I guess, to date, I am one of the lucky...

  12. English, Doctor, Please.............. I think that we all have Celiac, but differnce in intollerence. Some are highly sensitive and other are not as sensitive. I personally think that it is because of the exposure time link to gluten in our system. I has IBS symtoms all my life, but it was only two month where I have the constant acid D, and home...
  13. Joyce: Celiac is alway a possibility. Your symptoms of gurgeling, gas, abdonimal pain are all symptions of Celiac. Celiac carries about 200 symptoms and not all of us have the same although many are similar. If you choose not to be tested, I would recommend that you try being gluten free for about a month and see if you symptoms deminish. As well,...
  14. Sure, stress kicked in my celiac
  15. Karen: The show is all yours...............I got front row tickets. Hah We have battered the poor doctor enough. It's time to let him know the secret about altoids. (Don't know about his gender, although redMAN gives a clue, preference, married, single or indifferent) I think that he is holding out on us until he know about "Altoids". What...
  16. Sorry Jamie: I am beyond those years, but soon someone will post for you. Staying relaxed is the best thing you can do now. Wish you a happy duration. Think positive, and check in. Lisa
  17. We are honored to have a doctor with celiac issues. We have learned from each other and perhaps we can continue to do so.
  18. Karen, you alway surprize me, yet even now. I wish I had half of your humor. Radman does not know about altoids, but I sure he would like an explaination. Radman - all modifide food starch in the US is corn based and therefore is gluten free. FYI. Sweet deams...yawn.
  19. Hey Radman, Order some "Opus One" wine for your beer buddies, it will stop them in their tracks. As a doctor, I can only assume that you have very refined taste and budget. Makers Mark is cheaper by far. With all seriousness, I am glad that you are still here with us. Let us know you are feeling with your gluten-free diet. Has anyone...
  20. Radman: If you need a manly drink try Maker's Mark on the rocks. My choice is Seagrams 7 - 7up...not manly enough but it works for me. I also agree with Fiddle-Faddle that there are levels of sensitivity. After reading so much on this site, I have realized that, although I get glutened, my level is not as intense as others. As far as ages goes...
  21. Please consider this post deleted.
  22. alanh: First of all I would like to welcome you to the board. Second of all....I have to the best of my knowledge been gluten free since August. Obviously, new to this diet there have been many times that I made a mistake or was not as diligent as I should have been. It has taken me nearly eight months to learn to identify when and where I have...
  23. It seems like you came up with the perfect solution. As well, you have worked with a new line of cullinary chefs that will know about gluten free diets....Kudos to you.
