  2. That's a good one. I went to a party for my daughter and not doing well today. It was either the cheese too close to the crackers, mexican dip or ginger ale. I will look it up on the delfi list. Canada Dry Ginger Ale is gluten free.
  3. Susan, I will get better. We married folks have our own agenda, as noted above. Consider your options
  4. It's called REALITY.
  5. I have found that this disease is VERY self-consuming. I think about it every time I wipe a kitchen counter, every time I load the dishwasher, every time I make breakfast for my ADULT daughter, I join friends for lunch, or get invited out for dinner (often, because we pot-luck alot). I think about going to work, going to a meeting, going shopping an the...
  6. Vanilla ice cream as a dip with potato chips. V-8 juice, cut-up avacado, onion, celantro and peeled shrimp a little hot sauce.....hot or cold yummmmmmm (A peanut butter sandwich with pickels, most likely, would make me thow-up ) Cottage cheese, peanuts, raisans, bean sprouts, apple slices, with gluten-free ranch dressing.
  7. You are a beautiful young woman and once you start to feel better and heal from the inside out, you're gonna knock some wonderful guys socks off. Look out world.
  8. Diognosed husband. And don't know how to highlight passages either. So no help here. I can barely type without spell check.
  9. I know that there are other stories out there. I am with hopes and being gluten free that I will continue to heal body and brain. Thank you all for your impute and if there is anyone out there that has reaseach to indicate mind healing after gluten free , please let us know. The mind is a very complicated organ. I didn't have much to begin with,...
  10. I am Austrian and we always need to have a plan. I give myself two options....in my bedside table, I have a bottle of Aleve and like wise K-Y. It always leaves my options open.
  11. Donna, Like the others, if you just ate what is labled "guten free" you'd stave to death. Start with just be basics that you are certain are gluten free. ie. fresh vegies grilled chic or salmon, use salt and pepper and olive oil or corn oil. Breakfast: eggs oscar meyer bacon, jimmy dean sausage. Egg rolles with corn tortilla. Cream of Rice. Build...
  12. Vincent: Wanta make a bet? How may altoids in your bedside table?
  13. I do. I can go up to a week now and have no problems. Then for whatever reason, I get slightly acid D for a few days, and then it gets better. I think that it may be a little gluten, but also the healing process. The good days seem to get longer and longer. I am now nowhere close to the days where I could not leave the house and my bottom was on fire...

  17. Robbin - never had this before gluten free. I don't know why, but it just happens. Since gluten free, my hands shake. When I drink water out of a bottle, I can see the water vibrate. Don't know about that either. If anyone can explain, please post.
  18. Yeah..........I will take out all my frustrations out on the peeps. Thanks richard. I'll bit the hell off of their heads. Poor little chicks.
  19. YES, me too, have to know. I love to bite the heads of those little chicks. (The evil in me)
  20. Thanks for your input. It still sort of freaks me out. It's hard not to crawl into a shell like Karen's. Your safty net is your home. But, on the other hand, it looks like it will get better and I'm in good company.
  21. I had bad night sweats when I was 35 (early met.) at 51 I do not now. I do perspire when I am eating. Not spicey stuff, just regular gluten free foods, especially at lunch. Don't know what's going on there

    ARCHIVED Wendy's

That's really pissy. I would also write the company and identify the store. On the other end, you're not going to get concerned people at fast food places. They don't care, the just need enough money to pay their car payment. The manager should be chastised without a doubt. sorry for you experience.
  23. thanks for posting.....it always helps someone.
  24. Just take one step at a time..and then your have your material. I will be more than glad to contibute. Add to your list as you go and you will be surprized how many you have. The cool thing about this idea is that you could use named band produce, although it may change, you can use a disclaimer. After the summer, I can (maybe) do this. Don...
  25. Just review the recipies, I was wondering if a motivated person on the board would like to compile a cook book, Ginko's could put it together and we could buy if from that motivated person. Recipies with brand names to make it easy, would be a wonderful help to new and old members here. As well, as a little profit for the effort. I would buy it in...
