  1. I believe it means that you are still not absorbing fats and it passes right through. The healing process can take quite a bit of time. If they float, your healing and if they sink your betting better.
  2. Me, Lisa B. My thoughts are that they are comming out with a seasoned french fry that will contaminate the fryer. No more disignated special fryer at McD's.
  3. They are just friggin potato's......why do they have to screw them up
  4. It is always a little unsettleing when you look inside your body. But just consider that you are getting a head start on what's going on. Just remember that early, is good. Take a deep breath and get a good night sleep. My feelings say that every thing will be ok. (sound wierd from a stanger, but trust me).
  5. Susan: I did not see anything that was listed by McDonalds that say that the french fried were not safe. What is your concern?
  6. Elizabeth: I wanted to add first that if you intend to be tested for Celiac Disease, do not go gluten free. Your tests will not be accurate. You may or may not have celiac disease. There are over 200 symptoms of Celiac and I would encourage you to read as many posts here on this site to see if you have the symptoms. There is a search site here and...

    ARCHIVED Whey Protein

Whey is ok, I think that is corn or potato based.
  8. Trust me!!! There are lots of Canadians here, eh. They'll be with you soon.
  9. Yes, it is gluten free, but grading your own is much better flavor.
  10. Seagrams 7 and 7-up with slice of orange. Enjoying it now
  11. It is just so frustrating. I have talked about this too much, but my daughter is getting married and we have many friends give Annie and her fiance parties. I have been dealing with this for only 6 months and many do not know, but they also have to feed the masses. I am sure that my issues are not on high order. I have talked to the caterer and will...
  12. I have reached the 6 month part of being gluten-free. I do wonderfully well at home and my family does not mind eating gluten free. They don't even know unless they see me eating dinner. Even with close neighbors, I find it very difficult to ask soooooo many questions about how they prepared the food. I now know what is safe and what is not (pretty...
  13. I am planning this for Super Bowl with lots of friends: Bushes Baked Beans Green Peppers Chopped Sween Onions Chopped Kraft Dijon Mustard Lee and Perrions Worst. Brown Surgar Little Tabasco Heinz Katchup Oscar Meyer Bacon on the top and bake. Sorry for the misspelling. Tired and Brain Fog. It's really good. Sorry again...
  14. Karen, Your fishing trip is OVER!!!!!!!!!
  15. Cherrios and Milk.......Wheat or lactose problem. My balance was really off before I was dig. I ha ve never been dizzy, but sort of felt that way. Does that make sense If you want to try the diet good for you, but if you want to be tested do not go gluten-free. Sorry this is so short, but have to stir the grits. I will get back to you later...
  16. I agree with Karen. I DO remember when insurance companies did not pay for routine mamagrams. That denial could have save the companies billions of money in post dig. for breast cancer and where that may lead to. Slamming the Health Insurance Association with information from us would/could lead to alot of change. They are the ones that lobby Congress...
  17. Lisa, I don't know if I can help, but I felt that way when I ate some seafood out of season. Had the fever, aches and pains and bit the heads off anyone who entered the room. I do think that being gluten-free offers other "koodies" into out system. Maybe we are more sensitive to other invaders. I hope that you are feeling better by now. Drink lots of...
  18. I used my whole name and no one has come to find me yet
  19. make sure that they use UN-powdered gloves when they do their work.
  20. McCormicks Vanilla is gluten free as it is make from synthetic alcohol. I always use it. Hope that will help
  21. To the best of my knowledge Maltodextrim is ok, Malt is not. Lots of folks do not like the MSG in the taco sauce, but that's preference.
  22. Guess I missed alot. Ok, I'll spend the next three hours reading ALL the posts. I hope every one was polite and respectful of others opinion? Oh, well, that will have to wait. Friday night - I got a date.
  23. My hair just go shorter and shorter. It never seemed to grow and I had to trim the dry ends. I can't attribute all of this new hair growth the Oil of Olay. A good balanced diet and trying to heal a body that has been way out of wack for many years....has it's benefits. I am pleased.
  24. I have just read the last page of this thread, and I appogize if this thought preceded my current post. There is no drug that can cure this disease, to date. Research and development is based on money for rearch. Since the diet is a cure. Research stops here, because no money will be gernerated by phar. sales. I am sure that that has already...
  25. I have found that in larger cities, most restaurants are familiar with gluten free request and seem to be very accomodating. I pull out my gluten free card and the waiter takes it back to the kitchen to speak to the chef. He/She will return with selected choices that are safe. Maybe a little boring, but safe. Good luck and hope you enjoy free of issue...
