  1. Leave it up to Peter to (dig up) find stuff. It was a fun afternoon.
  2. It was a nice visit with Mouse, Chris and Tom. He does have big feet, but never noticed the thumbs. It was great fun to meet up. We should do more of that.
  3. Don't know how to show you a picture, but he's tall and skinny and has really big shoes.

  5. IH has posted some good information and very appropriate for this thread. But, aside from any gluten or Celiac issues, extended use of birth control will diminish you menstrual cycle.
  6. Using birth control for extended years (20), will diminish your menstrual cycle down to nothing. After going off the birth control, within several months you should restore your normal cycle (if nothing additional has developed since then). Not too sure gluten plays a role here. It's pretty much hormone related. But, then I guess hormones could...
  7. Please It sounds interesting.
  8. Just tell them that you have a gluten intolerance. When you eat gluten it makes you very ill. 'nuff said! And if that's not good enough, get new friends. Personally, I have found that not too many people really care. That's okay with me though. I just get on about my life.
  9. Excellent! I must try this!
  10. Open Original Shared Link Confusing the picture further are private labs that offer tests of stool or saliva that they say can definitively diagnose gluten sensitivity. Experts say that such tests haven't been validated and shouldn't be relied on for a diagnosis. "If anyone claims they have a test that is specifically for gluten sensitivity, there is no...
  11. I keep searching on line for it's gluten/gluten free status. Is anyone familiar with this?
  12. I make my own, but can't recall measurements. Cook gluten-free shells in salted water, drain Add some butter, lots of cheese and half&half ...to the consistency and taste that you prefer. Easy Peezy! (ditto)
  13. Blue Cheese should not be a problem for those of us with celiac. I do miss Knorr's gravy (I used to doctor it up and make it even better).
  14. How do you keep it moist Karen. Mine is either really dry or too mushy. I don't cook the Tinks. I use left over spaghetti sauce. I guess it tastes like spaghetti lasagna. <thinking>, so why go through the trouble, just server spaghetti.
  15. Jess, I have been in your shoes as has my adult daughter. I told her, not to very long ago, that the reason may not be clear right now, but someday it will be. Hugs to you and a good cry is required. xxxooo
  16. Hey Josh. Open Original Shared Link The ingredients do not indicate any gluten. Wheat must be listed and I don't think that malt/barley or rye would be in this product. But, please post your response.
  17. https://www.celiac.com/articles/222/1/Gluten-Free-Alcoholic-Beverages/Page1.html Sake - fermented with rice and Koji enzymes. The Koji enzymes are grown on Miso, which is usually made with barley. The two-product separation from barley, and the manufacturing process should make it safe for celiacs. ...this is all I got!
  18. Keep looking at posts.
  19. Welcome Gary! Take a walk around.

Nor the soy sauce and mix that is already on the table. Always ask for gluten-free soy sauce. But, eating there is always a treat for me. It's and hour and a half away...therefore the treat.

  22. Only recently did I realize that some children can have intestines that are not where they should be. There is a medical term for this, but I don't recall it. It's something that you can be born with, indicating low body weight. If your son does not eat well, it might be painful for him. I will look in to the official name. And, never mind others...
