  1. edited my previous post, but I eat raw almonds, and any peanuts or other nuts I eat are the ones found in Larabars.
  2. since no bodily function seems to be off limits in this form...here goes although health benefits seem to be associated with raw almonds, and they are such a convient snack, I don't think my body likes them. When I eat raw almonds, peanuts/other nuts in Larabars etc., my stool always looks likes speckled Easter eggs. Yes, I've tried really chewing/grinding...
  3. Jen, what did you end up being diagnosed with? Did you get an EGD done? Hope you're feeling better!!
  4. Lanimo, I'm curious as to what you ended up being diagnosed with?
  5. check out this list of possible symptoms Open Original Shared Link hope this helps!
  6. it has taken a long time to type everything up. Especially trying to line-up things correctly from the lab reports since copy and paste kept distorting the line-up , but other forum member's responses have helped me ask my doctors the right questions, so if posting everything will help someone else ask their doctors the right questions, it's all worth...
  7. Thanks for the encouraging words!! At this point, I'm waking up with a full 8 hours of sleep but feel exhausted. Only been gluten-free since Sunday. I think it's a combo of daylight savings time and gluten withdraw eers03, When you say IGA absent, does that mean you're IGA deficient? When you had the procedure done, did the doctor say visually...
  8. Does anyone use Bare Minerals Ready Foundation SPF 20? I checked the site before going to Ulta, but didn't realize this newer foundation wasn't specifically listed on their gluten-free list. Any suspicious ingredients? Customer Service was wishy-washy, and I'm new at this. Thanks for your input! Ingredients: Titanium Dioxide Zinc Oxide Boron Nitride...
  9. I will let you know how my biopsies turn out! I definitely think keeping a food and poop diary would be great. I even talked about my bowel movements to the GI with the bristol stool chart in mind. Check it out if you haven't! I would also suggest keeping track of water. During my first GI appointment when I said I was frequently bloated and constipated...
  10. *this was suppose to be a short response, but I got a little carried away. Thanks for listening! I was told to make my appointment 3-4 weeks after my biopsies were taken. I was supposed to wait two weeks after my sitz marker and liver/gallbladder ultrasound, but I ended up waiting three since the GI was out of the office at my two week mark. I know...
  11. so as I was catching up on my state news, there was an article entitled Healthy Dialogue: Don't be afraid to speak up to your doctor thought it might be a useful read, but I'm not sure how long the link will be valid before it goes into the archive section of their website Open Original Shared Link we really have to be our own advocates
  12. Decemberhill, The only test I came back positive on was the DGP igG. I am currently waiting for my biopsy results to come back in a few weeks. I see that your daughter bruises easily, as I do too. I thought it was something to do with my iron, but it turned out my iron and ferritin levels were fine. I'm deficient in Vitamin K, which also causes bruising...
  13. so my initial diagnosis from my EGD this morning is GERD and a hiatal hernia. I really appreciate that my GI doctor seems to be listening...keeping my fingers crossed that this continues...to my questions and requests. He said normally he would take four samples, but we could take 6 or 8. I requested 8 He said that my intestinal mucosa looked normal...
  14. so before my EGD today, I asked my GI if he was able to find another cause of high DGP igG besides celiac, and he said he was unable to locate another reason for the elevated number. It was great to hear him say that there is a lot of ongoing research with celiac and food intolerance in general. He said that for a long time doctors have told patients that...
  15. back from my EGD, and now resting for the day GI doctor took 8 biopsies, and I found out I have GERD and a hiatal hernia. I will find out what my biopsy results are in a few weeks. Transportation wise...everything worked out , and now hoping that my Mom gets back safely to Pennsylvania before it starts snowing heavily again. Meanwhile here in Delaware...
  16. thanks for the suggestion! I checked the symptoms of salmonella, but it doesn't seem to match-up with me. My DGP igG tests were both strongly positive. Greater than 30 was strongly positive for my lab, and I had a 43 and it dropped slightly to a 41 on the second testing. My main symptoms are continuous bloating and frequent C for the last two years. ...
  17. thanks for the links I had actually read through those articles and FAQs during my previous research and was hoping someone would have a clear cut link answer like chicago does for other causes of raised ttg iga antibodies except for DGP igG antibodies http://www.cureceliacdisease.org/archives/faq/after-going-gluten-free-can-a-positive-ttg-mean-anything...
  18. thank you for all of your ideas and replies!! just having those replies and ideas to go on made me feel so much better this was a long week, but everything has worked out. I was looking into volunteer organizations and car services, but thankfully my Mom has come around and will be making the drive down to take me. I've only been sedated once, when I...
  19. I've posted a few times in other threads about this, but thought I'd start a new topic that puts my question right out there Am I correct in thinking that if it was non-celiac gluten intolerance or gluten sensitivity, a person would not have elevated antibodies? Does anybody have any research or articles that discuss other known causes of high DGP igG...
  20. just got back my second round of blood testing, and the results are very similar. Deamidated Gliadin Abs, IgA 6 Negative 0-19, Weak Positive 20-30, Moderate to Strong Positive >30 Deamidated Gliadin Abs, IgG 41 which is still flagged as high Negative 0-19, Weak Positive 20-30, Moderate to Strong Positive >30 t-Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA was ...
  21. this post is the opposite of my screen name, but it's just been a day... this post makes me sad even writing it I am finally scheduled for an EGD on March 6th in which I'll be put to sleep. All of my friends that I would feel comfortable asking to take me home after the procedure are working or are unable to do it so...I'm out of options. My parents...
  22. so i realized that T3 was tested, but it was labeled Triiodothyronine,Free,Serum on my lab report and not T3, Free, which would have been much easier for me to understand the level was a 2.7 with a ref. range of 2.0-4.4. so i've been doing some more thinking, while keeping in mind i haven't been diagnosed with anything yet. what if I am in the early...
  23. hi igadeficient, no, I haven't been diagnosed but am currently going through testing. if you're interested, this is where I've been updating my info https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/99439-need-help-with-tests-results-please/ i have an endoscopy first week of March.
  24. so I had to lookup your topic thread but when putting it into Google images...I have that right now on my right eye on the upper lid! They will come and go, and the only way I realize they've returned is my contacts start to hurt. I can only see them when I stand really close to the mirror, and then I try and pop them with my fingernail. I only get them...
