  1. I use Tom's deoderant too. I've got my husband hooked on it now too. Let me tell you, if it works for me, it'll work for anyone.

Medicine was my first goal, but I found out that chemistry is not my friend. I am a Conservation Biology major. I did my degree in five years so that I could work. There's nothing wrong with spending an extra year at uni.
  3. Calgary Trail & 34th Save-On Foods has the best selection. I've seen a few at Safeway and Superstore. I don't shop at Sobeys because they usually have nothing for my Gluten-free Casein-free needs, but they may have them.
  4. That's great, I have to take my DH out for his birthday, so maybe I'll try Sorrentino's. That's their new (well fairly new) location, right? I work very close to Pearl River. I heard they were knowledgeable, but it's good to hear it from someone else. Maybe I'll try them.
  5. I found this ingredient listing on Kraft's website for pork shake n bake: Ingredients: ENRICHED WHEAT FLOUR (WHEAT FLOUR, NIACIN, IRON, THIAMIN MONONITRATE (VITAMIN B1), RIBOFLAVIN (VITAMIN B2), FOLIC ACID), SALT, PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED SOYBEAN AND COTTONSEED OIL, SUGAR, CONTAINS LESS THAN 2% OF PAPRIKA, DEXTROSE, DRIED ONIONS, SPICE, CARAMEL COLOR...
  6. I have been eating those for the past couple of months. They are so good.

That is quite funny. Here is the link. Open Original Shared Link
  8. I have taken several veg, ecology, and botany courses and I have learned lots about the evils of Monsanto. It's not just the soybeans.
  9. Cool, I just couldn't remember exactly.

What a small world. I spend a good deal of time in Rutherford. I probably study right next to you. I am graduating this year so it's been an intense year but the end is so near. Guess what I managed to not eat any NYF this week. Good luck to you too.
  11. I have only had the sea salt ones and I think they only have rice in the ingredients. Maybe the flavoured ones were bothering you.
  12. I didn't have any gi issues either that I can remember during my constant tonsillitus, strept throat teen years. I still have my tonsils and I love them.
  13. Yes, the problem is a contamination issue too. There can be other wheat seeds in there. I personally would stay away from wheatgrass.
  14. I wonder too. I have been gluten-free with wonderful results and then I went dairy free also with great results. But every week I seem to be getting loose bm's. I keep a food diary but I can't see a pattern. Beef bothers me and I haven't eaten it in at least a year now. You may have to look at various things you are eating. Also weren't you egg...
  15. Kinnikinnick doesn't even let their staff bring gluten containing lunches to work. It is very safe. However, I find if I eat too many new gluten-free foods at once I get kind of sluggish. It could be the unhealthy aspect, like pies, cookies, and bagels. Now I try to only eat only one or two types of gluten-free packaged product a day such as one bagel...
  16. I know someone who is wheat intolerant but not gluten intolerant. I think she figured it out by trying various foods.
  17. I have problems with non-organic meats. I know there are others here that have similar problems.

I eat at NYF at the U of A too because I don't know of any other gluten-free foods. It's terrible, I have been there every week this term because I have a 9 hour day and I can't physically carry enough food with me. It's table salt that they put on their fries.
  19. I had recurrent tonsillitus from grade 7 to 12. I took so many antibiotics in that time period. I could see there being a link.
  20. I know what you mean about wanting it on paper. I went gluten-free because I was sick of being sick. My doctor saw me about three months after being gluten-free and she said it was not worth it to do a gluten challenge because of how sick I would be again. And what if the results came back negative anyways, then what. The gluten-free diet itself has told...
  21. As far as I know that is similar xanthum gum, it helps bind the bread. Cool. I can get those up here. I've seen them but I didn't know what they were and wasn't sure about trying them. They sound like a good camping item too.
  22. It's like I said there are two sides to everything. Your opinion and his.
  23. Jamieson is Gluten-free Casein-free.
  24. Yes, I have to eat every 2-3 hours. People think I eat constantly at work. I eat in almost every class at uni too.
