  1. I use Jason Tea Tree Oil deoderant on the weekends. But, during the week I need an anti-perspirant otherwise everyone around me would be dead. LOL
  2. Is the blood bright red or dark red? Do you have pain with your bm's?
  3. I've read all of the posts on this topic. So, I started last week adding more protein and veggies and less carbs. I wanted to see if it improved my soft bm's. It is amazing how good I feel. I find it counter intuitive because I thought more carbs would help, but it seems that less is the key.
  4. I got my husband hooked on Tom's of Maine all natural deodorant. I'm pretty sure they are gluten-free.
  5. I have a rice cooker, but space is kind of limited which is why I was just thinking of bringing a kettle and maybe a small cooler. But it is a great suggestion.
  6. I would say try it for at least two weeks to one month. I keep trying to re-introduce cheese about every two months, but so far I have been unsuccessful. I guess I have to accept that I will probably never be able to eat dairy. You do get used to it, but you have to be a little creative.
  7. I use regular Advil which is gluten-free.
  8. I use canola oil and olive oil and I have not had any problems either. Could it be a reaction to any other products that you are using?
  9. You can get parchment paper at most grocery stores too. It is great for baking.
  10. Instead of getting frustrated or sick when I have to travel for my job. I have to stay in motels in hick towns. I am going to bring a kettle and camping (freeze-dried) foods. I have found one company that has some gluten-free and dairy free choices, Mary Jane's Organic. Does anyone know of any other Gluten-free Casein-free companies? Or does anyone have...
  11. This is a very good point. We don't have a choice, and society simply views it like a diet, not like a life threatening allergy. Which I know it is not, but society understands the dangers of peanuts or shellfish or bee stings. Thanks for the support. I am feeling more positive today.
  12. Thanks for the info. I haven't seen California Baby around here, but I can definitely get Coppertone.
  13. I'll adapt, I'm sure. If I was travelling alone, I would actually find it easier, but I have to travel and room with two other people when I am out of town. It's just an adjustment to my new life after uni and with gluten intolerance. I shouldn't complain, I'm gettting paid to be outside for the summer and to see many parts of the province that I haven...
  14. I know Banana Boat is gluten-free, but I seem to be having a bad reaction to it. Are there any other gluten-free brands?
  15. I'll apologize up front, but I am feeling rather down. My brand new job that I am using my brand new degree for requires extended travel to hick towns all over the province. So from the analogy above, I shouldn't be in this kind of work. I hate gluten and I hate that I can't eat it.
  16. Kinnikinnick has great bagels.
  17. You can make yummy tuna salad "sandwiches" with rice wrappers.
  18. I would lean towards yes, because if you can drink Lactaid milk and not get sick it is definitely not a casein intolerance.

    ARCHIVED Tai Chi - Qigong

I love tai chi. I have only taken one course a long time ago but I have the book of all the "moves." You really do get great muscle toning and strength from tai chi. It is also good for decreasing stress. I really need to find the time to start practicing it again.
  20. I have made the bagel recipe from Carol Fenster's book Cooking Free. They are delicious. I had to eat almost half of them fresh from the oven. I also like Kinnikinnick bagels.
  21. At four months gluten-free, dairy started to bother me out of the blue. Hopefully, this is not the case for you.
  22. I know how you feel. I have to go to all these small towns for my new job. I mention celiac to the waitresses and I get that dumbfounded look. Everyone else can eat, but not me. I ordered plain rice and plain veggies and they arrived cooked in broth. My salmon was uncooked in the middle. I used to love eating out and now I hate it. I hate it even more...
  23. I'm so glad you started this thread Vincent. I have been sick too, and after reading all twelve pages of this thread, I'm thinking that I definitely eat too many carbs. Maybe I am hypoglycemic too. I have been lightheaded and almost blacking out every time I stand up. It's getting rediculous.
  24. My husband eats regular bread and deli meat for breakfast and/or lunch. But suppers are always gluten-free. It is just easier and safer to have one supper, I find.
