  1. I eat Pace all the time.
  2. I used to get those all the time too before going gluten-free. You can get hemmroids from diarrhea too. At least I think I read about it somewhere. I'll try to remember where and post it.
  3. My cat is allergic to chicken. He had problems digesting his food for quite a while before my vet and I figured this out. There's a lot of research on this topic currently.
  4. Maybe you want to try an all natural cotton tampon. They have no preservatives, etc. in them. I haven't tried them yet, but you can get them at natural food stores. At least this may rule out a reaction to something in the tampon. It's just an idea.
  5. There are a lot of recipes that use only applesauce or a combination of applesauce and vegetable oil.
  6. My cats eat Natural Balance green pea and venison.
  7. My friend has a smoker. If I can find him on this long weekend I'll get back to you.
  8. I have a friend who tries to enter that race every year. I'm not sure if he is going this year. If you have a cooler, you could bring some premade pasta salad with lots of veggies and add beans or meat for protein. Lara bars are now in Canada and they are yummy. Powerade Peanut butter and rice cakes Jerky Applesauce cups
  9. Pasta salad with lots of veggies (I like chickpeas in mine too) Corn tortillas with fillings that you like (hummus, cheese, deli meat, etc.) Tortilla chips, salsa, guacamole Dried fruit and nuts Peanut butter and rice cakes Chips, crackers, cookies Applesauce, pudding or yogurt cups I like to have one premade gluten-free sandwich with many fillings
  10. I stopped eating them. I think they have a cc statement on the package.
  11. No fever or joint pain. Yes we have Lyme disease here and I work where the ticks are. That is really interesting. I'm leaning towards gluten being the culprit because I had McDonalds hash browns or fries both times within a 24 hours of the swelling. And, I never eat McDonalds. Once I had a craving and the other time I was working out of town...
  12. Alba Botanicals is not animal tested. You have to check the ingredients for gluten. I haven't got sick from their products. John Paul Mitchell is not animal tested, but some of his stuff has gluten in it. Kiss My Face has a list of their gluten-containing products and they are animal friendly.
  13. I don't drink sodas. I do however, work in the bush, physically demanding bush wacking in all weather conditions. So, it could have been a lack of water. But it was cooler weather both times that this happened. Don't apologize. I appreciate any ideas because I don't have a clue what caused it. And how would you know it was cold here at that time...
  14. Heat wasn't a factor both times. It was 15 and 6 degrees Celsius.
  15. I don't think this has anything to do with gluten. But , I'm not sure. Twice in the past week out of the blue my fingers and/or hands have swollen up to an uncomfortable level. They were red and warm to the touch. Does anyone know what could have caused this?
  16. I don't get a headache from red wine or champagne. I sometimes get one from white wine. However, I don't normally drink white wine, probably for that reason.
  17. I work in the field and out of town and a cooler has been a lifesaver. My co-workers just stop at Subway, but not me. You can pack so many good gluten-free sandwiches, and snacks in a cooler. It should keep things cool for a day, as long as you have enough ice packs.
  18. Me too! At four months gluten-free I had to cut out dairy. I kept trying to eat dairy with very poor results. But finally at one year I reintroduced cheese. I have been able to eat cheese since June. I 've been too scared to try any other dairy. Yep, try going dairy free for awhile. You may feel much better. I sure did.
  19. I do this too. I just thought it might be nice to eat some junk food. I eat so healthy being gluten-free and all. Thanks everyone for the info. on fries.
  20. Felidae

    ARCHIVED Mcdonald's

And if you are a Canadian, the fries and hashbrowns are safe up here.
  21. Tide has also irritated me for as long as I can remember.
  22. Where can you buy this brand? I haven't had frozen fries since I was a kid!
  23. I use the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner because they are supposed to be gluten-free. I just had my friend pick up a 1L bottle from the wholesaler and guess what, wheat is now in the ingredients. This sucks because I can't return it because my friend is a hair stylist and I get it at wholesale prices from her. Also, it doesn't smell as...
  24. There must have been a change because I was under the exact same impression as you. It would be good to find out.
