  4. I use corn starch or rice flour interchangeably. I prefer rice flour if I want a more traditional thickener, like for cheese sauce or cream soups. I use corn starch for stir fries and curries mainly. But they both work.
  5. I use the toothpick method and I haven't had a problem.
  6. Walmart doesn't label anything gluten-free in Canada. VH Soya Sauce is gluten-free.
  7. They are dried fruit.
  8. That sounds good. Let us know if it works. I can't remember the three ingredient measurements, but I think they are peanut butter, sugar and egg.
  9. You really should go to Kinnikinnick if you can because they have a points system for local shoppers and when you have enough points you get money off of your purchases. Also, they have really cool baked items for local shoppers, like pies, special cookies, foccaccia, and sometimes samples to try. It is also nice to buy direct from the factory, fresh unfrozen...
  10. I tried Glutino bread once and I couldn't get past one bite. Something about the taste and texture just didn't jive.
  11. See, I knew you would normally have observed a hole in the Altoid section! But you had good reason not to notice.
  12. Since I am also in Alberta I know exactly what you are talking about. Depending on your location, you may or may not have a Save-On Foods. They have a "natural section" in each aisle and that way the gluten-free products are kept away from some of the other products. It would be better if Safeway could keep the gluten-free flour away from contaminating...
  13. I know what you mean. I've been wearing my rib crushing long underwear for the past few freezing days. Why do they make them that high and that short all at the same time?
  14. Two words: Pea soup.
  15. I use Norton Antivirus too. But, I also use Ad-Aware to delete annoying stuff (non-viral) that Norton doesn't catch. Also, what I find helps is deleting the cache and cookies everytime I am finished on the internet. I know this sounds kind of extreme, but it has eliminated annoying toolbars, etc. You can find the item that has infected your computer and...
  16. I didn't realize there was a difference. Thank you for posting this.
  17. I thought we needed some good hearted laughter. But, I hope the stores restock here soon.
  18. I cooked brown rice in my cheapo rice cooker, not knowing if it would work or not. The brown rice cooked up beautifully.
  19. I know, it's dangerous territory to be entering, but I'm serious. I can't find them anywhere.
  20. Have you noticed a problem with Altoids supplies in your part of the country. I am in Alberta and I haven't seen Altoids at any store for about one month. I'm really concerned because I love them.
  21. Wouldn't that be great.
  22. I love my cheap rice cooker. It takes about 20 minutes to cook rice. I buy a huge Costco size bag of rice and it sure saves cash that way.
  23. No more diarrhea No more extreme gas with pain No more anal fissures No more migraines No more hair falling out No more anxiety/worrying When it comes to exercise I have a ton of endurance which I didn't used to have. Also, I don't get as red in the face. There are probably a few more things that I may have forgotten.
  24. In Canada, Lucerne does not have to list those types of ingredients. I don't think our laws are the same. But please somebody correct me if I am incorrect.
  25. It is very clear now. Thank you for posting.
