  1. I use Harvest Sun chicken boullion. It says gluten-free right on the label.
  2. I received the exact same response from them.
  3. I'm in Canada, but I'm sure you can find an equivalent brand in the USA. What I take is Jamieson Cranberry Complex 500mg. Another brand is Swiss Herbal. Whatever brand you can find, make sure you check if it is gluten-free. I bet you could find something at a natural food store, like Whole Foods, possibly. Iget mine at the regular grocery store.
  4. You are so right! Pets, exercise and the sun are great for depression and blood pressure too.
  5. I will add that I also buy McCormick ground black pepper in the large Costco size container. I haven't had any problems from using it. The label is green! It may be risky, but I use a lot of pepper.
  6. If you don't like the juice, you could take a supplement. I take one cranberry pill a day and I have not had an infection since. It's been at least six years.
  7. What a good thread since I love natural products, especially non-animal tested ones. Anyways, this is not really a "medicine", but when I have a sore throat or think I am getting a cold, I drink this before bed. Combine fresh squeezed lemon juice, honey and tobasco sauce in a mug and add boiling water. It soothes the throat and the tobasco clears...
  8. I didn't notice either. I buy what looks good at that moment in the store. But my favourite are the tri-coloured fusilli.
  9. I only use McCormick, the expensive small green labelled bottles. Maybe I'm being too cautious. Mrs Dash spices are also safe and delicious.
  10. Sandy, I'm glad you posted the factual side of this discussion. People really need to read websites with a grain of salt.
  11. Thanks for the great suggestions.
  12. I agree with what Shirley said. Pigs are very clean. I spent some time at an organic farm and it was extremely clean as were the animals. The large industrial/commercial farms are where the lack of animal cleanliness begins due to many factors.
  13. It's great to see another Canadian. You are lucky to live in beautiful Victoria.
  14. Now that I'm happily consuming dairy again, does anyone have any favourite gluten-free margarines? I'm eating butter right now, but I like to switch it up sometimes.
  15. I took those pills once and they made me feel so nauseous and horrible and I have never taken them again. I don't know what was up with those pills. I took them years ago and I was playing a video game and I still feel nauseous if I see the cover of that game today. Those pills really messed with me. It was the wierdest thing ever. The antibiotics were...
  16. I gave up on rolling the tiny rounds and just made sandwiches out of two corn tortillas. They still taste great.
  17. I checked the ingredients and there isn't any tapioca. Hmm, flax or not? I guess I could just eat some flax and find out. Maybe I'll try the bread again and see if anything changes.
  18. I know you guys are all great problem solvers and always come up with excellent suggestions, so here's my problem. I thought I was casein intolerant, but no. I was eating Kinnikinnick breads for a long time and I eliminated the breads and dairy. I reintroduced dairy with no problems. I haven't had Kinni. bread again because I have been feeling great...
  19. There are many false negatives when it comes to celiac antibody blood tests. Some people have negative blood tests and positive enoscopy results. Also, if you feel better gluten-free then your body is telling you something. Don't be discouraged, in time hopefully they'll learn to understand.
  20. I visited and had a tour of an organic farm this summer and let me tell you, the pigs were eating better than many people I know. They eat an organic blend of grains (I can't remember the ingredients, but there were only two) and the organic grasses in the fields that they live in. It was really cool to see. The farmer even ate the grains himself because...
  21. All the information is on the Calgary Celiac website: www.calgaryceliac.com
  22. I eat very little meat an fish, maybe once or twice a week. I buy organic meat and the only kind that doesn't agree with me is beef. I'm not sure why.
  23. If you had a butcher or a fancy Kitchen Aid machine, you could grind up a steak and then you would know if it was simply the cut of meat that is affecting you. It could also be cc, but I'm not sure how you could test that.
  24. My migraines were reduced by going gluten-free. It was a definite improvement for me.
