  1. Me neither, I would get a horrible hangover from two beers. If only I knew a decade ago (or more) what I know now. I loved the taste of beer and bread, now that I think about it.
  2. No, this was in response to someone else who tried Lays Naturals. Sorry for the confusion. I haven't tried Old Dutch. There are gluten-free tortilla chips called Que Pasa. Canadian made and their website says gluten-free, but I'm not sure about dairy cc.
  3. I work in the bush and in old wheat fields. I just wash my hands with Purel before I eat and I don't chew on grasses like my co-workers love to do. I have not been sick this summer as a result of the fields.
  4. Pre-gluten-free I drank lots of beer and I would get 48 hour hangovers. I had no idea it was the gluten. Now I drink gluten-free beer and no hangover, just an empty wallet. LOL
  5. Freybe's is in Alberta. You can find it at Superstore, Safeway, Save-On Foods, Sobeys, Costco. Pretty much anywhere, but the selection varies. I'm not sure if they make hot dogs though.
  6. When I eliminated dairy I felt extremely hungry for awhile. I had to find something to replace dairy. I found that chickpeas, other beans, avacados and nuts seemed to help with the hunger. I guess fatty, protein-rich sources seemed to fill the gap. It did not last forever, eventually my body got used to no dairy.
  7. I've been drinking Strongbow also. I hate caramel colouring.
  8. Isn't that a great feeling. After being gluten-free for over a year, I was finally able to eat cheese again, and I haven't stopped.
  9. My migraines have gone away since going gluten-free.
  10. I react to Bob's.
  11. I think you would have to read the ingredients on the generics. Cool Whip is marketed as non-dairy because it is an edible oil product. Wierd that they put milk in it.
  12. I'm pretty sure that I would have got sick from it, since I am very sensitive. There are so many unknowns when it comes to ingredients.
  13. Freybe's are also casein-free, even though they only say lactose free on the package. Their website says all except two products are casein-free. Hey, Carriefaith, I got married at your avatar picture.
  14. Does anyone know if Zapata Blanco tequila is gluten-free? I was given a bottle of it and I wanted to check before drinking it. I have been drinking Cuervo Gold, but apparently there may be caramel colouring in it. Man, does that suck.
  15. I'm not from there, but I've visited Montreal and it is beautiful.
  16. I eat Kraft unsweetened peanut butter. Yummy.
  17. That is not fair. I have not seen brown rice tortillas in Alberta yet. I was so close to the Sask. border, I gues I should have crossed it and gone shopping.
  18. I belive that celiac afffects gums. My gums started receding about eight years ago and I had a very bad dentist so I didn't listen to my gut, anyways that's another story. But, no one in my family has gum recession and I have had dental coverage my whole life. So, I took very good care of my teeth and gums. I'm supposed to have two gum grafts done, but...

    ARCHIVED Bmi?

I am runway model tall and skinny, and have been this way my whole life. I am in my early thirties and according to the bmi, I am underweight. I eat constantly and I am fit. Nothing that I do enables me to gain weight. So, I don't how accurate they are. One good thing, since I work in the bush, the bears and cougars will go for my coworkers before me...
  20. I get bloating, gas, and diarrhea.
  21. I've eaten at one location and did not have any problems. But, some people have had problems at Swiss Chalet.
  22. Just checking. I think I've had what you are talking about.
  23. I work in the field and away from home and corn tortillas are my sandwich bread. They get pretty gross tasting by the end of the week. But Manny's are filling.
  24. Sobeys would have to list the ingredients on the chicken thighs packages if they were injected with anything. I know the rotisserie chickens at Costco have an ingredient list and I'm pretty sure Safeway does too, so I would assume that Sobeys has the same. Always read the ingredients. I've been reacting to non-organic chicken again too. No more antibiotics...
