  1. Thanks for the post on this. I love it when I can add things to my grocery list that are safe.
  2. I eat Lundberg all the time with no problems.
  3. I keep my hardboiled eggs no longer than five days, so it would work well for a five day work week. Have you tried Silk brand soymilk. That is the only brand that I think tastes good. You could make rice pudding with coconut or almond milk and add dried fruit and nuts. You could then divide it into small containers to take to work. What are corn...
  4. I have to add my two cents. I don't believe in diets either. I believe in everything in modification and in changing your lifestyle, but anyways. An aquaintance had a heart transplant and her cardiologist put her on the SBD. So, there are two sides to every story. He is a good cardiologist. And you are not supposed to go back and forth between phase...
  5. I use Fleischmann's salt free, lactose free margarine. It is actually dairy-free and gluten-free.
  6. I know a lot of people don't like EnerG breads, but they are very toastable and are similar to something like Wonderbread.
  7. I went there today and bought bagels, K-toos, a bunch of other stuff, but the thing I was looking forward to the most was a pie. I can't wait to try it. I love this store. The K-toos are awesome and I don't normally have a sweet tooth.
  8. I find it very difficult to gain weight too. If I could eat dairy, I'm sure I would have no problems. I eat nuts, nut butters, beans, and legumes to try to gain.
  9. I'm with you, there bread is disgusting. I can't wait, I'm going to Kinnikinnick for the first time tomorrow.
  10. I used to eat those before I was df. They were so good.
  11. Remember I am in Canada so they may be completely different mayos. They are made in different plants. So yours might be okay. My Hellmann's up here is not soy free.
  12. Since I can't eat cheese, I have made my pizza crusts foccacia style. I put olive oil, oregano, salt, pepper, hot peppers, etc, on top, then bake. I then cut them up and dip them in olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  13. I take Webber Naturals and Safeway brand calcium & D supplements. They are both gfdf.
  14. I just bought the Hellmann's canola mayo and the ingredients are so different in the Canadian version. Water, canola oil, modified corn starch, liquid yolk, vinegar, sugar, salt, spices (contains soybean oil), xanthan gum, sorbic acid, phosphoric acid, citric acid, concentrated lemon juice, colour, calcium disodium EDTA, and sulphites. After reading that...
  15. Yeah, I am in a condo so I don't have to deal with the tiring part of the great snowfall that we got. That's probably part of why I don't mind it too much.

    ARCHIVED Addison

I have a friend who has Addison's, if that counts.
  17. No problem with substituting those two.
  18. Maybe I can make some gnocchi now. My husband loves it, but he eats gluten-free suppers because of me. I'll have to find something non-dairy to replace the cheese though. Thanks for posting the recipe.
  19. Hey, I love the snow. I had a great cross country ski today. Finally we get some winter.LOL
  20. I tried goats milk cheese yesterday and I was horribly sick all day today. So, I guess no dairy from any animal for me.
  21. I wrote a paper on tapeworms in zoology. I actually find them quite facinating. Of course, I don't want a live one anywhere near me. My gp has tested me for parasites almost every year while we were trying to figure out what was wrong with me.
  22. Thanks everyone. Hey it's not much different than what is up here except that you guys don't have Save-On Foods. My Safeway just removed all of the natural products too and so far they are not in any other aisles.
  23. That is funny that you think I am male, LOL. Yep, I did mean Julios and Planet Organic.
  24. There is a vegan restaurant at 97th Street and 107th Avenue called Padmandi's. I have never eaten there but they are supposed to have a gluten-free selection. Their menu is apparently huge. High Level Diner 10912-88 Ave is supposed to offer some gluten-free foods, also I haven't eaten there since going gluten-free. I have not had any problems with McDonalds...
  25. Hello neighbours. I just accepted a four month summer field job based in Calgary and I need to know where I can get gluten-free and cf foods. I have no idea where I'll be living yet, or how on earth I'll be able to afford it. We own our place in Edmonton, so it'll be a shock for me to rent again and be without my hubby. Any help on store locations or...
