  1. I wish I could get some of those bars in Canada.
  2. I carry the alcohol, not the antibacterial, hand sanitizer with me as a backup. It's good if you are not near a bathroom.
  3. Fish and Chips and a couple of pints of beer. Maybe some pie and whipped cream for dessert. (I can't eat dairy either) It is hard just to pick one meal.
  4. Yeas you are right about the global thing too. Cocoa Pebbles are not gluten-free in Canada.
  5. This is the e-mail I got from them: From: Minute Maid Support [minutemaid.support@na.ko.com] Sent: Tuesday, September 13, 2005 12:49 PM To: Subject: RE: Minute Maid Contact Us Thank you for contacting The Coca-Cola Company, parent Company of Minute Maid. We are able to confirm that Coca-Cola classic, caffeine free Coca-Cola classic, Coca-Cola...
  6. Cats are carnivores (with some grass) and wheat shouldn't be a part of their diet. Many brands use grains as filler because it is cheap and makes the food go further. There are good quality cat foods out there, not at the grocery stores. You just have to do some research and you will find them. It's just like human food, there is crap and there is quality...
  7. 1) Yes 2) Hot 3) Chicken 4) No 5) N/A 6) Family size
  8. I initially gained about five pounds and my weight has not changed since. I eat constantly too since I'm always hungry. I wouldn't mind another five pounds but it just remains stable. Before I was gluten-free my weight always fluctuated so I guess this is a good thing.
  9. Can you pm the list to me too? Thanks
  10. I have not had a biopsy either and my blood tests were negative. I have however, had a positive result to going gluten-free. I used to be very sick with D every day. I had anxiety and worried all the time which I do not do anymore. My hair was thinning and turning grey but now it is thickening and I have not seen any new grey strands. (I know turning...
  11. It's better to use an alcohol based hand sanitizer not an antibacterial one for obvious reasons.
  12. I substitute regular milk with soy or almond milk 1:1 no problem.
  13. The only gluten-free food at my university are New York Fries. What a pain. I am always hungry so I bring a pack full of food with me. Tortilla chips and some sort of dip, gluten-free breakfast bars, homemade trail mix, dried fruit, juice, energy bars, and crackers. It's difficult but you have to just plan ahead.
  14. How dumb am I? I never even thought of that either. My house has gluten-free soap. I wash my hands on campus constantly and then of course I have to eat. Wow, maybe the soap sometimes gives me grief.
  15. All of our suppers are gluten-free. I have a separate cutting board for myself. If I can't get squeeze bottle condiments then clean utensils must be used. Generally lots of cleaning up after the gluten items.
  16. The Annie's dressings in Canada don't say gluten-free on them. Just like the Thai Kitchen products too. I just have olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper on my salads for now.
  17. I think a second opinion would be a good idea if you don't have any irritation or itching. Do you have any symptoms such as cottage cheese-like discharge?
  18. The VEGA bars have wheat grass in them so if you are sensitive be careful.
  19. Hey, I wash rice, veggies, and meat before I cook them! LOL It's just another wash before cooking item I guess.
  20. I have simply tried not to eat bread because I don't like the gluten-free ones either. I understand it is hard. I buy yummy smelling gluten breads for my husband. But I haven't faltered from the diet because I remember how sick I get and it is not worth it for me. I have replaced bread with tortilla chips and rice crackers. Oh well.
  21. I drink European wines quite often and I have not had a problem. I am very sensitive too.
  22. They sell some brands that have gluten free items. Mrs. Mays and Thai Kitchen, and I just bought a jar of almond butter and Kirkland plain almonds (they list there allergy cc info). I can't remember what else right now. Oh yeah, I saw Hormel fully cooked bacon there.
  23. That's great info. I got very sick from one of the salad dressings. It could have been a cross contamination issue as I am very sensitive.
  24. I can only eat the Lays Staxx without any problems.
