  1. Hi odearme, You've come to a good place. This forum will help you along the journey to discovering your ills. So here is my list: 1. Stop thinking you are hypochondriac. It won't help in discovering the real problem. Something is making you feel so crap/yuck. 2. Read and research lots of different posts and webpages. Get a feel for what and who seems to...
  2. This is not a well studied and researched issue. Try googling and reading about skin(dermal) absorption of pesticides and consider whether gluten derived products might fit your "poisons" list.
  3. I have a good feeling about you! I think of you often during my days and pray that you are keeping your spirits up. Smile today and tell your family (esp. that great husband of yours) how much you love them.
  4. Australia is probably a bit too far though?
  5. Against all my anti social will I REALLY WOULD love to you over for soup.
  6. Strawberry_Jam In past posts etc you have shown to be very very articulate, knowlegable and well read. I'm suprised you consider yourself as having a (problem, disability etc ((i HATe# THESE terms))) This afternoon and tonight ( I am in Australia) I am crazy itchy annoying I do not know what to call it. I feel llike nuts. Let us know what your specific...
  7. I have been monitoring my possible reactions to iodine/salt vs gluten (cc, bathroom, food etc) exposure. Having trouble discriminating possible causes and problems. Can you give me any insight into what type of reaction you have to particular exposure? Iodine vs gluten? skin products vs CC intake?
  8. I also don't think you need or should add psych "disorders" to your list of problems. If you identify with PTSD then let it open you to a world without it. Identify what and how you are feeling about the world (reality) and then seek out what you really want in it(your future.. all yours the way you want it). If you are a Christian then you know that Jesus...
  9. Three years ago the president of the schools P&C (parents & citizens) strangely arrived at my sons school bus stop. He had a box of old books and so on and asked if I'd help with the school fete/fair. Turns out I had completely and unknowingly accepted responsibility for making the fete/fair happen. Truely bizarre and I was at my very worst...
  10. You should see a doctor. Irregular cycles and discharge is not something to mess around with. Doc's will be able to test for a multiple (((many many))) different potential diagnosis for your symptoms.
  11. If I were you I would ask your hubby about what / how he came to stay with you. It will open a line of communication ("talking") that you might not have done otherwise. Why did he stay? What made him, continue to, stick with you? ((It could be so good for your self-worth)) Did your church/spiritual advisors help him out? ((someone there might have the...
  12. I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL OR TRAINED IN MEDICINE/PSYCH. I think you need to talk about it. I'm not a fan of psychologists ((that is a long long story and I really believe there are probably very good ones in the community)) but if you know one or find a good one I seriously recommend you talk, talk some more, talk a bit more and then listen to what they...
  13. I know a lot people who suffer from post-traumatic stress (PTSD). One of them I see at one my local shopping districts and he is always so incredibly intoxicated (to others they don't appear drunk & disorderly.. a strange occurence in intoxicated PTS sufferers in my opinion ((but note: I am not a professional in the medical/psych area)). He doesn't even...
  14. Years ago I went to the doc because my coughing was so bad I couldn't even sleep. Totally exhausted. He said 'asthma' and I said something like 'No I don't have asthma' and he said "Yes. you do". I though asthma was constricted throat and wheezing which I didn't have. My asthma treatment is one of the only medications I use despite all my other gluten problems...
  15. Celiac History: Open Original Shared Link My maternal side family medical history contains the following references: depression, alcoholism, bowel cancer(plural), all and sunder issues with sinus/stomach, pollen allergy, asthma... NO Celiac (or Coeliac as we use in Australia) But then how long has the term Celiac/Coeliac been used in medical documents...
  16. One thing that will help keep your relationship safe from Gluten Free harm: Don't eat a big fat piece of pizza or one of bright pink-icing donuts in front of him. In fact if you can go Gluten-Free along with him you will be very grateful in the long term and he will be extremely grateful in these first few hard weeks.

  18. I have pretty much been hiding from the rest of the world for years. I resigned from a very well paid career. Haven't been in touch with even close friends, most of my extended family etc. I use to put it down to single parenthood, too tired (always!) etc and got on with trying to raise a happy healthy son on minimal energy and minimal funds. Yesterday...
  19. What do you mean by "intolerant" vs "allergic"? Even this is debated in the community. Which one are you and what are your gluten symptoms/signs etc? These tend to be more likely to incite some response.
  20. I don't ever claim to be a celiac/gluten free guru but *please* please give it a few months. It took me 5 months. 3-4months of mistakes and tempations and so called 'Gluten Free" food and cosmetics/cleaners etc but Now I feel goood. Don't let my recovery deter you from medical advice. If you want to know more about my experience in the past 6 months then...
  21. I didn't realise it was "brain fog" until I started to get out of it. Same with the tiredness/serious fatigue. I always wondered why I had so many symptoms of depression (sleeping, hiding, yuck feeling etc) but didn't think I was "depressed". It took me about 3-4 months to get where I am now ( the past couple of weeks) where I can have lively and animated...
  22. What a brave young woman you are!! So much they / we don't know yet... Open Original Shared Link : "In conclusion, to the best of our knowledge, our report is the first to describe the frequency of celiac disease and celiac disease-related auto-antibodies in patients with HL and NHL in a southeastern Turkish population. There is no evidence that...
  23. This is the best place to come for a whinge, vent, laugh or anything else! You are likely to divulge things here that others DONT want to know!!!!!! Most of us have had a mini-breakdown sorted out by posting on here. If you get the urge to read posts, read them. If you get the urge to post, post. When you are a few months down this track you can reply to...
  24. I'm trying to stay from everything for a while because I had so many troubles with the so many (including "gluten-free" but with gums etc) products. The worst one was with: Total Effects Gentle UV Moisturiser with SPF 15 Open Original Shared Link " Full Ingredients " ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: 4% OCTYL SALICYLATE, 2% AVOBENZONE, 1% PHENYLBENZIMIDAZOLE SULFONIC...
  25. Thanks for going to the effort on our behalf seashele2! I'm going to get it too! Di
