    Today I have had: Fritos Diet Coke Mission Brand Corn Tortillas Uncle Ben's Boil in Bag Rice Black Beans Johnny Appleseed Hard Cider I'm nauseous, doubled over in pain (not my usual belly area, it's right side just below the rib wrapping around to the back), and upper abdominal cramps. I don't see anything that could have had gluten?!?

    The main reason I want to get the official Dx is so that there will be reason for doing follow up blood work (monitoring my antibodies, vitamins, etc). I can do the diet without the official note in my charts, all I have to do when I look at a sub sandwich is remember the pain it will bring.

    The only place I have been told for certain around me meets the requirements for keeping a meal gluten-free is Ted's Montana Grill. From what I've been told they have an entirely separate part of the kitchen with it's own equipment for gluten-free prep.     Yes I'm in Georgia. The problem with getting a new doc is there's only 1 medical group where I live, and it's their "policy", so a different doc would have no difference. I know the lab still has the results cuz they came in a week and a half ago.

    They can charge my insurance all they want, they're worthless anyways.

    If another doctor ordered the tests, they would accept them. It's because I went outside of the system and did it that they won't take them. The results were electronically sent from the lab to the doc, and I brought them a sealed copy from the lab with a tamper evident seal.

    So I thought that after going out of pocket at a lab, and getting positive blood work, I would be done with a need for tests......... However, I just read a letter from my doctor saying that "due to the fact that I did NOT have the blood work done through a doctor's office, the results of the blood work would not be accepted by the office as valid for diagnosis...

    Welcome HilHil! As Beth said, you still need to be eating gluten for testing to be accurate. The genetic test only tests to see if you carry the gene for celiac, and is not a diagnostic test.     I use ipiit, and when it's not in the database, it asks if you want to add it, if you say yes, them you take pictures of it (front, nutrition label, and ingredient label) and in a week or so it gets added. But I still also double check if it says it is gluten free. :-)

    Here is a link to a website I found that lists gluten-free items. They state they "strive to provide up to date information" (so just double check labels or contact the manufacturer to verify).     I'm not the OP, I just posted that link to give an idea of a starting point, and how to look up lists on google since there is no "master list" of gluten free beer. (Which thinking about it, I might just make one...)

    Karen, just to make it clear, I said they are listed if they are gluten-free (a glance at the list shows the right column says "gluten-free" if they are reported as Gluten Free), but I would appreciate clarification on your comment, Crabbie's Ginger Beer and New Planet are listed on there as gluten-free, as is Woodchuck Cider; are they not gluten free? I have not found a true full listing of gluten-free beers online anywhere, but looking up beer festivals, every one that I found has the gluten-free beers listed.
