  1. Hi again, I haven't posted in awhile. I have been going through some VERY stressful personal things int he last few months and my "burning muscle" situation is worse than its ever been. This used to be the end of my glutening symptom cycle where some of my muscles would feel burning or inflamed. After one very physically demanding week and being out...
  2. So I know this is silly- even after taking nutrition classes but what types of carbs should I be eating? You mention a Vitargo drink? Could you give me more details? Sometimes I am just so over trying to find something to eat that I don't eat- so maybe a drink like that- (you said during your workout?) As for normal food to eat I am guessing like sweet potatoes...
  3. Do you find that when you are exercising regularly you have this crazy hunger? I have always had a pretty fast metabolism but this is getting kind of crazy. I had keto pancakes (eggs and creamcheese) for breakfast, a 6oz cup of trail mix, now just ate an Amy's gluten-free DF burrito and still hungry. been up for only 4.5 hours! I am thinking this may...
  4. Hey all- just thought I would send an update. I worked out hard but not too long or too hard last week on Thursday- one hour pilates class (which isn't too strenuous to me) and then did squats and some other arm/back lifts. But i couldn't do my third set of squats because my quads were cramping up.I took my Glutamine twice that day, vegan protein and tried...
  5. First of all- who are these a-holes making fun of you? It's making me heated just thinking about it. Coworkers? If you don't like your job much I suggest taking a diarrhea sh*t in a bag and leaving it on their desk. Then see how hard they laugh. (sorry I have quite an interesting sense of humor/need to make people realize how not funny their jokes are). ...
  6. Wow! Thanks you guys for your responses! I am typically not getting glutened- I try very hard to eat things that don't make me sick. I got hit once this summer in July and then once about a month or so ago which may be why I got that stupid hand foot mouth- my immune system must have been down (plus I just travelled and day drank for a wedding too-definitely...
  7. I was only tested for antibodies once, negative. My weird diagnosis is based on symptoms and a gene test by my doctor. If I were to ask for that test what do I need to ask for specifically? I think maybe I am getting CC'd and that might have made me more sensitive to dairy? at least I hope its not forever. Thanks!
  8. Hi all, I am an exercise enthusiast and have been since high school (currently 31-female) diagnosed with celiac 3 yrs ago and find that I am very sensitive to working out too much. I would go to the gym every day if I knew I would feel good, but eventually I seem to either not eat enough or not the right things- get a bout of diarrhea (glutened or otherwise...
  9. Thanks! I actually looked into a few recipes online- with the addition of a fair amount of mayo i hope its just as good
  10. Good luck! I just went to my regular doctor who now suggests I stop eating dairy and I about died. But whatever. After crying about it a lot and realizing after eating it that it may be the culprit for me spending a lot of time in the bathroom.. I move onward. At least we all have each other. Bur ur dear god can someone suggest a gluten free...
  11. I feel your pain- as do most of us. I have been gluten-free for 4 years and still have lots of pity parties. But its more than that its just down right depressing like you stated in your original post. And I am sad af. Sad that my body is betraying itself. All I can say is DON'T read too far into all the celiac crazy on the internet. It is effing scary...

  13. First, I want to say thanks to the veterans of this site who read through thousands of posts from people like me and take the time to respond you have been there for me in rough times before and I'm bummed that I am back with confusion! I have been on a gluten free diet for 4 years and I occasionally have these rapid gastric dumping issues where I eat...
  14. I got hit on thanksgiving too and it has been a little over a year since my last glutening. I think mostly I made it this long because I was less sensitive while pregnant, I had no stomach issues the whole time- it was amazing. I think what got me was some French onion dip oddly enough, I didn't confirm how it was made and assuming a packet with barley...
  15. My favorite perk: I get my own damn pizza and NO you absolutely CANNOT have a piece- because it cost $80. I also like the bringing my own food but for some work things its kind of a pain slash i feel like i look like a weirdo. Like i really care. I am weird!
  16. I might be a little late to add but I was having a lot of spasms/cramping in my neck shoulders mid back (seemed to just keep spreading despite ART and deep tissue massages) I ended up seeing a spine doctor after MRI and they prescribed Baclofen-it's a non narcotic muscle relaxer that stopped my spasms after only taking a half pill each night for a week. Then...
  17. On Tuesday when i was hitting the peak of my emotional madness (post glutening) at work I wanted to put a sign around my neck that said "warning: volatile specimen. Approach with caution" or something along the lines of me being a psycho b. sigh.. now I am just to the week long lingering of nausea and multiple trips to the bathroom. Happy wedding anniversary...
  18. No way! I used to live in Minneapolis before I came here and loved the state fair but was thinking to myself lately that it would never be an option to have a FRESH DIPPED CORN DOG ever again. so you are saying there's a chance!!! That is super cool. Too bad it's over already.. dang it.
  19. I haven't been to a Red Robin since Gluten-Free, are they pretty trustworthy? I just had 5 guys yesterday YUM! I live in CA so definitely flying.
  20. Minneapolis for some of the time and the rest at a wedding in Hudson WI. Do you guys notice the pain and suffering this late? I am a HOT MESS at work right now which is just great. Trying to hold back tears because i am so frustrated with my stupid cell phone company and trying not to SCREAM at these people for being so EFFING stupid. At work.. totally...
  21. Unless it was something else I ate, it could be a million things at this point. But I have been pretty dang good and only eating approved gluten-free items (salads, five guys, yogurt). And I mean my own yogurt because this crap at the hotel has modified corn starch AND modified food starch. I'm supposed to avoid the food starch right? Ok I did eat one of...
  22. Well it's a little over a week now since I ate those scrambled eggs that went through me within 4 hours and I am definitely feeling off. For the last 4 days I have had this headache that hurts when I move my eyes, tired, CRANKY, EMOTIONAL, more bathroom time, and my neck is bugging me again. Oh and off and on nausea for the last 2 days. Why the heck...
  23. I actually did pretty good last Thanksgiving- I live in California but my family is all in Nebraska. So this last thanksgiving I stayed here and went to a friends family one where I knew of one other person who ate gluten free. I made gluten-free stuffing/dressing (though it got a little burnt when the host reheated it) gravy, rainbow mashed potatoes and...
  24. I have been reading all your replies this evening and I can't explain how grateful I am. Thank you for taking the time to help me out. I am in an extended stay hotel with normal size fridge and 2 burners. I actually cooked tonight some taco meat and feel better already. Just takes more planning, but it's overall a much healthier way to eat and I have...
