  1. Ok...I got put on Transfer Factor tonight. Who else is on TF??

This is a totally different TF from what Dr. Rick had me on last year. Anna put me on this stuff....

    Open Original Shared Link

I AM, I AM! I started taking it a couple of days ago...I was waiting until I had been on the NT Factor for a few days so I could see if either gave me a reaction. Scott is the one who recommended this one for me, but I'd been waiting for Anna's stock to come in. So, I've taken it for two nights now and so far so good. It also has colustrum in it which has casein (I think), but I'm hoping that it's in a small enough quantity to not cause problems for me.

I think the NT Factor is also helping me (also from Anna)...I've noticed a bit more energy this week. That's exactly what she said it would do. :P

I'm glad you've "graduated" I hope I get to soon...I asked Susan about that...she seemed to think I have at least a few more weekly visits left. She said the food panel alone would take 3-4 more tries, and then she wants to test me for something new...I forget already--sheesh it was just on Saturday that she told me. :P

    3. Has anyone gotten FMLA for their job due to lyme? I had FMLA in the past, which I only managed to get for 3 months before my primary doctor told me it
  2. We have urban rebounders and love them. I haven't been able to use mine in a while, but it's well worth the money.

Ditto! I love my Urban Rebounder and the workouts that came with it...I use it frequently, not only for full workouts, but sometimes just as a warm-up to something else, or as a lymph drainage tool, or sometimes just to get some activity during commercials.

  3. Can we have a herx share? :P

Aw Bev, sorry you're not feeling well. Don't know if I can herx share...I was actually going to ask a similar question....and a follow up question is how can you tell if it's a herx or a reaction to the meds/supplement cuz all my symptoms always seem the same...I have the same reactions. :(

Anyway, the only time I KNEW I herxed was when I first went on the anti-candida diet a few years ago. I definitely felt it. My body felt like lead, I ached--almost like the flu all over my body, my eyes hurt in their sockets and I was headachey. That last for two weeks, then I amazingly had energy to fuel a small city. Amazing really, compared to now, lol.

  4. OMG, you are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO right!!! Too bad because he's such a cutie with the blonde hair!

Yep, a little bit of hair grease and he would have been the spittin image.

I don't know what it is but Blake has lost my interest. I differently think his hair color makes him look plain and just dull looking. He wasn't great at his first song but I thought he could of easily won over the judges with his second but he choose a song that nobody ever heard of and I always think that's a risk. That set him up for the b-box criticism.

I actually really liked the way he did the second song...I'd not heard it before either but I really liked it...too bad the judges didn't. :P

  5. Your symptoms do fit with lyme, but also many other conditions could cause it. Did the lyme specialist do the testing? If not, it probably wasn't very accurate because they probably didn't use the best lab for the tests...the tests are not that accurate anyway, but even less so by labs that do not specialize in lyme.

Your regular doctor most likely will NEVER say you have lyme...they are very reluctant to diagnose it.

Do you still see the lyme specialist? There are some supplements and herbs that he can try first...but it's really a good idea to do that with some supervision.

I'm being tested now for lyme, metals toxicity, mold exposure and a bunch of other stuff...should get my results next week.

  6. I love the food pics, and recently some members of the board (mostly those who participate in the OMG thread in 'other intolerances') have been putting up 'vintage' childhood and wedding photos !

I love looking at them! :D

VINTAGE!!!! I love that...some of us are more vintage than others!

I like the idea of the history, but I can't think how they'd do it without storing the avatars somewhere and that would probably take a lot of space. :(

  7. I wasn't too impressed with the performances last night...or I should say the songs...I actually didn't WATCH the performances much because I wanted to just hear the songs without any other distractions. I have to honestly say that I don't think I would have bought any of them except for maybe Jordin's first song. That was awesome.

I also really don't like Blake's dark hair...he almost reminded me of peewee herman last night. :P I still really like him though. I do think that he should not do his thing on every single song. That was one of the things I was listening too last night...couldn't imagine buying a C.D where every single song had that on it.

I also think (boy, I'm full of opinions today  -- just ignore me  ) Paula should shorten her comments--the more she talks the more it doesn't make sense sometimes. :P But, I still love her. ;)

Phew, where did all that come from

  8. Harumphs all around for Bev!!!!

Yikes...so Monday night my kitchen sink back up...I try everything to get it unclogged, but nothing doing. So yesterday I had a plumber come out...he found all kinds of things down there (not from me, but I share the same pipes with 3 other units)...one of which was a gooey gel thing that he said was bacteria. Okay, YUCK!!! He said that was natural and that it happens in all drains, but usually not the gel thing. :P Figures, I, who am so sensitive to bacterial stuff has to have a bacterial ball in my drain. Gee, someone please tell me why am I sick again?! He said he found potatoe peels down there...I don't even eat potatoes, and the few times I have in the last few years, I eat them with the skin! Stupid condo pipes, lol.

Hello! Sorry I've been MIA (long story long weekend) but I've done some catching up reading on everyone. My blood draw is tomorrow. I got my "diagnosis" list and one of the diagnoses was GIDDINESS (apparently it's a medical term for dizziness).

Giddiness  OMGosh...for all I know that may be written in my file but I'm pretty sure my old doctor used a completely different word to describe me. I've had dizziness for a couple of years and couldn't hardly get a doctor to look at me much less give it a name. Big HARUMPH!!!!

    Very nice picture!

Hm.....let me see......I vote for lyme and mercury.

    ...

I went shopping two days before payday

Yep, or mold. The itching didn't really get better when I went on the anti candida diet, but there was a period of a couple of years when the legs didn't itch...but then the heel did. I don't know...I think it's all in my head. :P

I've done that before with the shopping...be careful though...more and more places are going to the electronic check clearing thing.

  9. What's left of them, anyway

 Yea, what the heck am I thinking, lol...after all this time, I bet I don't have any left. :P

Donna...I was just doing a search on some candida stuff and came across a post from a candida site. Guess who's post it was??

    Is was yours.....back in 2004.

You were talking about your itchy heel.

And then...I read that your Dr. gave you a prescription for Diflucin. But just ONE pill!!

    WTH is that???

Oh yeah...one pill....thats really gonna "fix" everything.

I used to post on that board too...but I think it was in 2005. Heck...maybe we "met" before the OMG thread ever existed.

Maybe  I used to post on two candida boards. 2004 was in the middle of my sinus infection/sick cycle...every 6 weeks that doc put me on antibiotics and prednisone. I give him credit for at least trying to figure out what it was. He was certain I had candida so prescribed Nystatin and since my insurance company would only pay for ONE Diflucan, I only got ONE pill! Isn't that ridiculous!!! I think if I had had female candida issues they MIGHT have okay'd more, but I'm never sure with this stupid company. Anyway, I think eventually this doctor would have figured out the gluten/casein issue...he's the one that put me on the Yeast Connection rotation diet. He retired though in 2005 I think. He was also the one who was willing to clinically diagnose/treat on symptoms, so we tried a couple of different things, including Armour thyroid to see if it would ease some of my symptoms (the low body temp, hair loss, exhaustion, etc.)

That stupid heel was/is horrible. It's always the same spot, the itch is so intense that one day I was tempted to take a knife to my foot. It wakes me out of a sound sleep and once awake the itch is unbearable. We were never able to figure out what the heck goes on with my heel or my legs. :( Fprtunately my heel is taking a break...it hasn't itched for a few months now, but my legs have taken over. :( It seems to alternate between unbearable itching on my legs or unbearable itching on my one heel.:P

I'm still wondering if it's tied in with the candida, mercury, mold or lyme. :P

Thanks for posting that Andrea. For some reason I I can think of a BUNCH of stuff to call it.

Cant wait to tease her about that.

I bet she can't wait to hear it :P:lol:

  10. Maybe it went into a muscle.... I have a lot of fat on my behind so probably wouldn't feel it much, but I can say that I've been having those trigger point injections in the muscles of my forearms (down to the bone) and it hurts like heck for days. It wasn't so bad when it was in less muscular parts...even in my head and neck it didn't hurt as much, but my forearms are the most muscular part of my body. :P

  11. It wasnt just for CD57....he ordered liver and kidney tests as well. I had a ton of liver and kidney testing while I was still with Kaiser but its been a couple years now so Dr. S. wanted to make sure everythings still ok.

The new girl definately was NEW. I think I might have actually been her FIRST blood draw.

The nurse was right there and observing very closely. The nurse let her do the tourniquet and to find my vein but she slso checked the vein herself to make sure....and luckily she took over right when the girl missed.

    I think I'm glad I didn't get a new, new girl

Okay, that makes sense now with so many vials...I just couldn't imagine that many for just the CD57, :P

I'm going to call my doctor today. My injection site is still bruised and sore. It hurts when I roll over on it at night. I don't see how it will be healed enough to get another one there on Sunday, and I'm not sure I want to get the other side to be feeling this bad tomorrow. I don't really think it's supposed to hurt for days, is it?

It's been a long time. I have one spot from my trigger point injections last week...it started out just a pin sized bruise and stayed that way for a couple of days, then started getting bigger and bigger--every day a bit bigger. I've been debating whether to go to see the doctor about it...I think its probably just a blood vessel gone wrong, but I go in tomorrow for my regular adjustment/PT session so I think I'll see if the doc can take a quick look.

Andrea, You are truly amazing the way you remember all of the appointments. Seems like there are even more of them than normal lately. I usually avoid the sun because I'm very sensitive to it--and also to hot weather. I do think it's a good idea to get some, though. I'm going to make an effort to get out there before the hotter afternoon sun--sunscreen only on face (of course :P )

The heat really bothers me, but I love the sun. If it's not hot outside I can do more sunlight. The heat does some strange things to me sometimes.

Ok, I think I've been glutened!

    OH NO! I hope not!

  12. You could ask Donna when her appointment is on Monday. Maybe you're results would be back by then too.

It's Tuesday (15th) at 12:00. I tried to get a 3:00 but they didn't have an hour available and they need an hour appointment for this. :P

I'm gonna call them tomorrow and find out how soon I can get the results. Yes...I am a very impatient girl...with EVERYTHING.

I'm dieing to know too...I got my "receipt" from Igenix today and I ripped that thing open hoping (but really knowing not) that the results would be there, lol.

See my whole upper body feels like it has a bad sunburn, but it's not sunburned...no redness, no rash, not marks at all. My hair on my neck is driving me crazy and the strap (which is only 1/4 inch wide) from my tank top is enough to send me through the wall.

I wonder what cream they used on you...sounds soothing.

  13. They were training a new girl and she was gonna be the one drawing my blood!!

OMG...I was terrified and my arms already hurt like heck from the burns. She took awhile to pick which arm and she was obviously scared and NOT confident. She told me if she misses she wont continue to poke me...she'll have someone else take over. Ok...that didnt make me feel a whole lot better about things.

I had a new girl too, I wonder if this one is a different new girl, cuz I'd thinkk by now she'd be more confident. The girl who drew mine actually wasn't new at nursing or drawing blood, just the paperwork and procedures I think. She did a pretty good job although the needle did hurt going in...it wasn't too bad though until she accidentally pulled on the tubing. That hurt a little but it wsa only for an instant. I LOVE those comfy chairs...she said I could recline and get comfy and I did, lol. I even put my feet up over the arm of the chair cuz the whole point was to not pass out and having my feet higher helped.

Why did they take so many vials...are they doing something besides the CD57? Hum, maybe most of the ones I had drawn were for that, lol.

Patti's is the 11th. I forget when Bev's is for the LLMD but the biopsy is Friday I think......maybe it's not this friday though.

Donna's appointment for results is the 15th....Carla and Chloe's is the 21st.

I thought someone had an appointment towards the end of the month.

Pretty amazing Andrea!!! Not sure how you can keep everyone straight. :P

  14. Yes, they do have minds of their own, lol. My computer is slow anyway...well, actually it's my connection that's slow, my computer is quite fast, but I'm on a dial up connection and whenever the stupid thing downloads I have to virtually stop working. :P

I have got that burning skin sensation really bad today. I had it nearly every day for two months, then last week it was barely noticable but today, I just want to crawl out of my skin. Stupid whatever it is that causes it. :P

I printed the article that Carla linked to and went outside and read it in the sun. Phew, it's hot here today...Rachel, you must be in heaven today, lol. Actually, she's probably having her blood drawn about now, but then she'll be happy!

  15. We've got to take advantage of the sun when we have it. :P

    Ha, yes you do, lol!

OMG, in other news....I ate Lays' KC Masterpiece Blend barbecue chips yesterday at my brother's - - very weird poop today - - - DID NOT KNOW THEY HAVE MSG IN THEM!!!! :o so no more Lay's. But, I also ate a ton of cherries - - might that have something to do with things? BTW I could eat a thousand cherries.....but I don't think THAT would be good....

Oooohh, KC Masterpiece, very bad. Last week in my double bag potatoe chip escapade I also tore open a KC Masterpiece bag and ate ONE chip and realized there had to be something wrong with it....looked at the ingredients and saw MSG and fortunately threw the bag away...had I not looked I would have eaten the whole darned bag and been sick as a dog. :(

P.S. The pic I downloaded was my kindergarden picture.

Very cute!!! I just tried to load a new picture but my virus checker was downloading some files and the upload of the picture didn't work, so I'm off to do that now.
