  1. I am having so much trouble with this website today, lol. Now it won't let me go back to previous pages, so I'm sorry if I'm replying hodgepodge to stuff.

Patti - we could NEVER be bored with you. I agree with everyone else that there has to be something else going on and I think if you find a good LLMD they would explore a lot of things, not just lyme. That's what mine (also Rachel's) is doing and it really is a relief. I hope you feel better soon!

Morgan - glad you liked your present. I'm turning into quite the purse fanatic, lol.

  2. Arggg...haven't been able to get into this website for most of the day, lol. :P

Just a quick note - - Donna, I am worried about you! I am just exhausted reading about your non-sleep schedule. I had insomnia for almost a decade, and I nearly went MAD. took all those herbal things and many vitamins and warm milk and on and on and on. finally in 1998 my wonderful doctor in Monterey just prescribed something for sleep. And I am wondering about that for you - have you looked into Ambien or Lunesta? they can sometimes be quite good even for short-term use....I suspect you won't like the idea, I did not either but came around to it when I was crying almost every day from lack of sleep. And I really DO support the idea of disability for you....you can work again and work part-time, but you have to wait a while to begin working. I went back to work too soon, and am now repaying the government for that......heinous. But your body needs so much more rest than it is getting to recover! Sleep is very important and so restorative.....I seriously don't know how you do it. (and others of you who are so sick and working full-time.)

Thanks dear one! I'm almost at the point where I'd consider ambien or lunesta. Over the counter stuff doesn't do anything at all, and stuff like benedryl just keeps me MORE awake, lol. If the natural stuff I'm taking isn't working I might as well just cut it all out. Years ago, one of my co-workers gave me one of her sleeping pills...I think it was ambien--I cut it in half and took one half and that seemed to work okay back then. We'll see what the lyme guy says.

Does the metals/lyme have anything to do with this? It would be nice if you could take some disability time to focus on treatments and getting your adrenals built back up.

If I had more time off available I'd use that for a few weeks, but I've been so sick over the last 2 years that I've got virtually none left. I get SIX weeks a year!!! It's all but gone. I have about 7 days left but I'm afraid to use it, lol.

I took sublinqual b12 saturday and got a raging headache. I have yet to try it again.

Not too thrilled with the idea of the chlorella again. My stomach was a little queasy all day and I was hungrier than normal.

Hum, I've been getting lots of headaches lately too. I used to NEVER get headaches.

I checked into that a while back and decided it did have casein. I don't think I got a clear answer though.

    That's what I was afraid of. :(

Is this phrase now in the Rachelville Dictionary??

    I do believe it's official now. :P

Not sure what time you're appt. was at today but I'm thinking of you....hoping all is going well.

    Ditto and ditto.

  3. I think you have just made a real case for taking some time now and not waiting until it becomes worse. Please take care of yourself. I'm wondering about B vitamins, how are your levels? I know that when I was waking up after feeling like I hadn't rested at all that my B12 levels were low and that taking the sublingual B and the shots really seemed to have helped this. I'm still sleeping only five hours of so but it feels like I do rest during that time.

Thanks Rinne! Well, I just had my annual exam and nothing came up there. The LLMD I saw is running a vitamin/mineral panel I think so I'll know more from that--but not until the 15th when I see him next.

I take a liquid B vitamin and a sublingual B-12, plus a multiple which has some Bs in it. The multi is a tablet and I'm going to see if I can take the liquid one that Scott suggested in my ART session--maybe that will absorb better. Anna (BioSET lady) sells it now at her clinic so they can test it before I buy. :P I wouldn't care how much sleep I get if I felt rested and I USED to feel rested even on 5 hours a night, so this is definitely different, lol. I've never been a good sleeper, but I've always felt rested and had lots of energy, this is just very different.

In addition to those supplements, Anna has me on something called adaptocrine which is supposed to help the energy. She is also starting me on NT Factor as soon as they get it in...it's been on backorder forever. Scott also suggested Transfer Factor for the lyme, but that has colostrum in it so I have to check if that is okay to take with a casein intolerance.

  4. Ugly Betty is on first, then a two hour Grey's. Here it started at 9, its normal start time, but goes till 11.

So, Donna, you really think you're going to be able to watch a half-episode of Grey's?

It was good. I think I like the new show, too. Great, that's all I need, another 'Grey's night'!

I haven't watched Grey's yet...it came on at 9:00 here too so it was too late to even start watching. :P I'll watch it when I get home today...feel free to speak of whatever you wish about it now, lol. Knowing what happens doesn't ruin it for me...I'm the kind of person who reads the last page of a book first to see whether it's worth me spending my time reading it. I still enjoy the book and by the time I get to the end I've forgoteen what it was anyway...same with movies and shows. :P Hum, it seemed like maybe the new show might be a bit boring...I'm glad to hear you liked it.

Its been 2 years now that I havent needed naps. I cant even imagine taking naps now!!

    It sounds good though..

I feel like I need a nap every day, but when I lay down, I just don't fall asleep. I feel like I need a nap now and I've only been awake for 2 hours...technically...I've actually been awake for hours because I DIDN'T SLEEP AGAIN, lol. :P

Speaking of chlorella. Talitha and I had some this morning. Ick is all I can say (her too). I had 1/8 tsp and she had less than that. I mixed it in water. She said her stomach felt weird but nothing else out of the ordinary.

Tastes awful doesn't it! I was mixing it with my other liquid vitamins which actually have a bit of sweetener in it and adding a little stevia in a glass of water. That made it palletable, but don't know what it did to the absorbtion of the vitamins, lol.

Dunno....maybe you're turning into me???

 Uggg, no more for me though...felt icky all day after that, and still do and gained TWO pounds! I just cannot metabolize carbs. :(

Thanks. That's the same one I had up before, it's just zoomed in on me. B's forehead looks like my shoulder.

It DOES look like your shoulder...I almost made a comment yesterday that my new picture is in keeping with the head to shoulder look in your picture.

    Happy 19th Birthday Morgan!!!!!

    Happy Belated Birthday to Morgan!!!!

    Greg's anatomy is weird tonight.

    :o

Does chlorella make you feel kinda sick to your stomach and hungry and the same time?

Yeah, I think my escapades with chlorella are documented. I was feeling nausea for a couple of weeks there and now I'm not. Chlorella or the other detox stuff are the only things I'm not taking now that I was then.

I think your disability idea sounds really good for you- I think you should do it

I'm glad your peanut butter concoction seemed to work, lol! I just long for peanut butter. :P

I actually hate the idea of disability...not because I want to work so much but mostly because I still feel like I'm able to work. The problem with that is that it is getting harder and harder to get myself to work every day and I'm afraid that at some point I'm going to get the point where I've pushed myself too much and that that will just make things worse and harder to recover from. My adrenals are just not coming back, and I can actually feel that process happening.

I can't sleep even taking four 3mg melatonin tablets, 2-4 valerian root tablets, two 100mg 5-HTP tablets. Somehow I keep thinking that if I could just sleep when my body WANTS to sleep, I'd get enough. The work schedule I have now just doesn't let me do that. :(

  5. Donna...that picture is sooo cute. :)

    Thanks! :)

Some nights I'll sleep that 8 or 9 hours, others I'm resting, but have insomnia. I do NEED to rest that much, I just have no strength at all in the morning.

Ummm, talking elevator on Grey's??? Okay, I'm just trying to bug you west coasters. :P

Sad thing is that I NEED it too...I am so exhausted all the time, but I just can't get the rest. I've actually been thinking that if I have to do chelation or go on treatment for lyme I might see if I can go out on disability for a few weeks just so I can rest. I feel like I can't get caught up. My work hours don't help--I have to be at work by 6:00 or 6:30.

Teaser...Grey's doesn't come on for another hour (someone said it comes on at 8:00 tonight, but I'm not sure...if not then it's TWO hours, lol) here!

  6. I must be the exception ... I go to bed around 11, my daughter wakes me up at 8:45 so I can watch her at her bus stop since she's the last one to leave in the morning. I watch her from the bedroom window and go lay down until about 10, when I go eat, then I lay down again, then I go work out about 11.

Of course, much of that resting time laying down is spent on here!!

I get LOTS of rest. Some days my body needs more than others. Some days I can get up earlier.

I dream of that life. I got to bed at 9:00, wake up at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and usually stay awake at that point (not by choice) because I have to get up at 4:15 for work. I can rarely take a nap...it happens ocassionally, but not often. I think if I didn't have to work early I could probably fall back asleep at least for a little while. :(

  7. Okay, Grey's Anatomy is weird tonight ... are they spinning off Addison's new show tonight????

Yes, I think it's tonight. I've got my recorder set, but I'm going to try to watch the first hour.

I actually never get enough rest...except maybe sometimes on the weekend. I average about 5 hours of sleep a night...which isnt too good for someone whos sick.

Oh, for some reason I thought you slept a lot, lol. I should know better because you're always up posting late, and I know you have to be at work even earlier than I do. I only get about 5 hours too, sometimes 6 if it's a good night. :(

  8. I felt kind of bad for Denise cuz she had to take on all of the patients. She was pretty tired and was supposed to be done for the day. Donna, I guess she lives right by where that tanker destroyed the freeway ....so its a mess going home. Thank God I dont have to go anywhere near there....I cant even imagine.

:o Wow, poor Denise...I'm glad I don't have to ever go up that way!

I also couldnt hold the treatment.....the bar was slipping. Poor Denise just seemed exhausted. :( Donna....this time I needed both rest and water and then I was able to hold everything.

I can't figure it out in my case...well, rest I can because I never sleep, but I drink tons of water, so I don't get it. And you, you sleep, lol, but probably probably don't drink enough water. So what does this mean...it shows up every week for me. It must not be as simple as just getting enough sleep or drinking enough water...it has to be something more than that.

Anyone recall me getting all cut up and bloody from doing yardwork last summer?? It was from those bourgonvillia...one of them is humungous!!

Ah yes I remember, the bouganvillia from hades, lol.

Its suppossed to be super nice out....I think in the 80's. I like it hotter but I'm not complaining....I'm just totally over winter.....give me some sunshine!!

Sheesh, you couldn't tell it from tonight...it's cold already and it's only 6:30, lol. I was just laying on the couch with my blankie!

  9. I read about these baths on another board...I think it might have been the candida board. It was pretty much the same stuff. I think it does make people feel better but I dont think it detoxes heavy metals the way it claims to.

I thought I read that someone had the water tested and it wasnt actually toxins in the water.

I cant recall where I'd read that cuz its been a couple years at least....stuff doesnt linger for that long in my brain.

I cant remember the scientificness of it all.....I'm just left with the impression that they dont work for detoxing metals.

Yep, I think a foot bath would feel great and make me feel better just because of the foot bath, but a plain ole tub with nice bubble soap would work for that too.

  10. Uggg!!!! I ate a small bag of corn chips AND a small bag of potato chips. What the heck is wrong with me!?!:lol:

I have a funny gluten story (as if any of this really should be funny but if you can't laugh, you may as well lay down so my new motto is "Get busy laughing or get busy dying"

    Cute, funny story!

Question: Has anyone tried Ionic Detoxification? A friend described it to me yesterday, she said it was a foot bath and she watched the water change as toxins were released from her feet.

Well, I haven't tried one, but on a mercury board I frequent there are reports that it really helps and there are reports that it does nothing. The owners of the board did a test on one though and the water turned color even without any feet in them. I believe they sent it to a lab but can't remember what came of that...here are two links--the first to a recent thread about them and the second to the study that they did (unscientific):

I love your wedding pics! Especially since you cut out your ex! He probably deserved it! Doesn't vengeance feel good? How hilarious is that! Well, blow me! Who would have thought you were the vengeful type!

Well, he was actually a pretty nice guy, but he DID do some things that made me mad as we were separating...not so much vengeful as trying to respect people's privacy...I can't ask if it's okay to use his picture, lol. :P We stayed friends after we divorced, but when I moved from Hawaii, we lost contact.

  11. <------- Wedding picture, but since we're divorced I only put half of him.:lol: On my personal pic page is a picture from our "reception"...again only half of him.

    You are all great!!!!!!!!

    You're pretty nifty yourself!

if only we could sit around all together and get to the bottom of a fine glass of champagne (or beverage of your choice) to celebrate that we were all finally healthy. My gosh, when we are, look out world! We shall be a force to be reckoned with!!!!!!!!!!!!!:P

Hey...I think when we're all better we need to plan a "reunion" someplace central to where everyone lives and stay in a nice spa somewhere. :P

  12. I am sooooo sore today...the prolotherapy was mostly in my arms, elbows and wrists and yowza are they sore and weak today!

I forgot to list the 10 things I could eat 1000 of:

    1. 1000 bowls of chocolate peanut butter ice cream (from Baskins Robbins preferably)

    2. 1000 chocolate bumble bars

    3. 1000 ribeye steaks

    4. 1000 M&Ms

    5. 1000 Reeses PB cups

    6. 1000 jars of PB (and even better if it's on the 1000 chocolate bumble bars)

    7. 1000 venti sugarfree vanilla soy lattes (or 1000 chocolate mocas in a perfect world)

    8. 1000 pieces of bacon

    9. 1000 tubs of yogurt

Wow Donna....I'm truely amazed by this!!!

I had no idea plants could live this long?? They certainly dont have that kind of life span for me.

I'm lucky if I can keep a plant alive for one month!!

Its really sad that its got mold.

Maybe you could put it outside??

I have a plant that started as a cutting from a plant at work when we first got married, so it's about 22 years old. It's some kind of ivy or philodendron or something. I cut it back once in a while and it thickens up. I've taken cuttings off it and started other plants.

I'm amazed by it too...I have the worst black thumb you can imagine which is one reason why I don't have any other plants. I think it must be the same kind that Carla has...it looks a bit ivy-ish, lol. I don't think it would survive outside, but if my mom doesn't want it I may try it.

I'll look forward to this if you find it.

Found it. I brought them to work with me and may scan them if they fix our scanning PC, or I may just wait til I get home today.

I am just utterly RAVENOUS most of the time and could eat like there's no tomrrow, at any given time. I know this thread isn't the place to post about that.....will have to research this elsewhere. And I know there aren't deficiencies in my diet...it's very healthy and well-rounded. I don't know what it is, but I am newly obsessed with food, and I don't like it. For the first time in my life, I understand what others go through with food cravings and weight issues, and I really sympathize.

I'm the same way. I could eat a 1000 of anything at almost any time. Fortunately I am not thinking about food all the time anymore, but at the drop of a hat I could eat and eat big.

I was almost OCD with cleaning before I got sick. Everything had to be perfect all the time...the house, my car, the yard. Heck...no wonder I got so chemically sensitive...I was constantly cleaning everything.

This was never me. I have always hated cleaning and, well, just never do it. Gee, I wonder why I'm sick all the time, lol. You got sick from the chemicals and I got sick from the germs.

The kids come second. They know this. It's not as harsh as it sounds ... they know that if it weren't for Adam's and my relationship, they wouldn't exist! We have to work on our relationship ... I think this has also given us a unified front in discipline! Yet at the same time, the kids know they're important, too.

Yes, this is what I've heard is the best way to raise a family.

sorry to mention R on our happy celebratory time here! It's just something I've been dealing with and processing (dreaming about nightly) for a couple of weeks now, since I found out. And, to make things WORSE - - he's marrying a girl we went to high school with - she is quite beautiful without ONE SINGLE SHRED of neurosis.....*sigh*. Makes me - - makes me - - - -oh SO many emotions! :

Oh, I'm not so sure there is NO shred of neurosis, lol. There must be something... :P

So just now I realized I'm drinking tons of kefir the past 3 weeks. About one quart a day....plus eating lots of goats yogurt. Do you think this could be contributing to die-off??

The whole converstaion was because I've got worse head symptoms recently.

I also have some "yeasty" type feelings.

I always thought that the probiotic type stuff just populated the gut with good bacteria. It doesn't so much kill the bad stuff as just make sure the bad stuff doesn't have room to grow. I guess that in itself could cause some sort of "die-off" but maybe not in the traditional way....not sure though.

I love looking at all your pictures, Donna. I have a "grandma" like that, too! She's actually the mom of one of my uncles who is married to my mom's sister Anyway, growing up we called her grandma and she's still with us at 96!

Ha, this was actually a woman my mother used to take care of, so she brought me along and "grandma" just used to dote on me I guess. She was 95 when she died...that was when I was around 10 or so.

  13. 6. NUGGETS - milk chocolate with almonds......

NO NO, not the nuggets, lol.

Laura, Andrea and Patti...I love all the wedding photos. I cant put my own up yet...well...cuz I havent actually had a wedding yet. :P Heck I might not ever have a wedding at this rate!! :o

Okay, I gotta go look for mine...it's funny though you guys...I got married in Lake Tahoe, in Love Chapel, by Reverend LOVE. No kidding!! In one photo, I am cracking up so badly that I made everyone else laugh...it was kind of corney...the whole thing.
