Well like a good little cult member, I washed all my brushes last night.
And, like a really good cult member, I had backup brushes for most everything so I could still put my makeup on this morning.
And, like an obsessed good cult member, I have decided that I NEED another eyeshadow brush because that's the only backup brush I didn't have, lol.
Julie,
Brushes ARE disappearing...they changed the free brushes they're sending with the special and one of them is one of the brushes that disappeared...so I've been thinking of going ahead and sending in another order BEFORE the next special, lol, just so I can get that brush!
My obsessive cult status is rearing it's madeup head.
Yay - loving Donna's beautiful new avitar. Do tell what colors you are wearing. Why thank you...wearing Fair Medium foundation (matte); pink ribbon blush; pots & pans, diary and starry eyed eye colors; sunlight concealor all over the eye area and on my spots. I'm wearing a lip gloss I got from Longs...it's a little beige, lol.
well my makeup is out with the courier yet again this monring, so i guess they do work today. Maybe i will have that makeup by the end of theday, now im wondering do i get ready or do i stay in my pjs til the makieup shows up lol. IM guess get ready and just dont do my eyes so i can play with the eyeshadow when it gets here lolOMGosh...they'd better deliver that today or I'LL come hunt them down!

I didn't fully catch the TV ad I saw yesterday, but the only thing I heard was Tuesday. It seems to me that they usually have Idol on two nights, even for auditions, but I"m not sure, lol.
-
You look fabulous in your new avatar. I LOVE it, Donna!!!
Thank you!!! It's all my EM makeup!
Yes, Donna you may borrow my daughter.....heck she's a teenager....you can keep her then send her back in a few years!!
-
Well girls, I got my two major goals accomplished today. Cleaned the bathroom (which could have put most single men's bathrooms to shame, lol) and FINALLY put away my Christmas stuff.
I even vacuumed the livingroom.
Well...she did tell me to stop eating them about 7 times...but that was only because I was eating ALL of them.I havent had any bad side effects from Alinia...so far its been ok.I can't wait to hear of the demise of the stupid beast.
LOL! NO, that's not what I meant at all! I meant I used to buy whole bags of cookies and eat them all!!! LOL! I reachel almost EVERYTHING I eat!Yeah, I had a feeling you weren't talking about me, but it just fit so well.
-
...can I just say I LOVE Donna's new Av!!!!!!!!!
Thank you...should check to see if Donna Babinsky put up one before I post this though I guess.
-
Donna, LOVE the new avatar!!!!! Is that you with your full face of EM???
You look gorgeous!
Thank you! I have to try again next weekend...my teeth look so yellow, lol. They don't look like that in the big original picture.
-
I'm glad to hear your daughter is better!
-
When did you go eat a couple of bags of cookies, im so ashamed lmao.
Back in August...and maybe once in September. Okay, and maybe some stuff in October.
Believe me when I say I am still paying for it too. Gained 10 pounds virtually overnight and haven't been able to get rid of them! (Oh, not to mention the stupid candida issues that have reared their ugly heads...gee wonder why I have such a problem!?)
Luckily I got self restraint and would NEVER think of doing such a thing!
Donna, I do not judge you!!!Yay.
Love your new avatar!It's brown.
Maybe because I was wearing brown, against a brown background with brown hair?
My teeth aren't their whitest, but heck they aren't THAT yellow.
I don't think they are at least.
I will try again next weekend when I'll try to wear something MUCH LIGHTER, lol.
-
You all make me laugh, I can see soon, donna is going to have an high maintence doggie in a cute little purse (oh wait that is going to be me) lol
Nah, I have doggie dogs, lol. I had two Westies, and the most I ever did was put a sweater on them when it was really cold (and they weren't pleased about that, lol)...they both thought they were Rotties.
Oooooh, let me know how the retractable brush works. I'm all about brushes. I want the new angled blush brush from EM, but our car bill was over $1,200 dollars!!! YIKES. THAT REALLY HURT! I also got a bill from a recent doctor visit that was already resubmitted once and insurance is saying they won't pay $150.00. Found all this out after I came home from a "Girl's Night Out" to a Girl Scout event with my mom last night, while hubby was home watching the kids. It was a comedy show and I had a great time! My mom and I both won a basket from the Chinese Auction and I WON 50/50 which was $406.00! And no, I did NOT tell my husband about the 50/50 winnings...for obvious reasons!!! LOL! I need a way to secretly buy more EM, maybe cashiers check and have the package mailed to my moms??? Hmmm... need to think about this one.Wow, congratulations on the 50/50!!! That's fantastic! Yeah, I just got a surprise dental bill for work that was done a year ago. They never bothered to send me a bill and now it's due like IMMEDIATELY! It's for $853!
I used the brush this morning and I think it did very well with foundation. I want that angled brush too, but, yeah...I'm going to have to reign my spending in a bit.
-
Yea, I get it! It is really hard to do this! Last night I couldn't take it anymore, so I ate an apple with almond butter...but that's a far cry from driving to whole foods and buying a whole bag of cookies!
Okay, go ahead and bring up the cookie incident again!
Sheesh, down a couple of packages of cookies and they never let you forget it.
-
EM has made you go mad, retractable brushes, "at work" make-up cases, cute little train cases with no function, only cute good looks...............
Yes, and to think that just a few weeks ago I barely cared how I looked, much less wore makeup, lol! Course I still think I would have wanted the mini train case though.
-
Donna....I have a teenage daughter...she helps me with the eye shadow thing
I am SOOOO eyeshadow challenged!
Can you lend me your daughter for a few lessons?
-
Yea, that's hard. I used to be the same way at school. I could never manage to stick to any diet there. When everyone was eating whatever they wanted, I would feel terrible and deprived if I was eating cucumbers at lunch instead of chips. LOL!
You know, when my head is in the right place it doesn't matter what's going on around me, and I would be able to stick to it even if a pile of chocolate were sitting in front of me...there's just something going on in my head that won't let this "click" for me this year. I've tried several times over the last few months and I just can't seem to stick to it and am not really sure how to make my head click.
Another sucky IV experience last night.OMGosh, that sounds horrible!!!! Yikes...I'm glad the swelling went down.
Good because I don't have enough money to fly to california and hunt you down if you every try to leave!!!Hey, I'm up for the task should it ever become necessary.
Donna, there's no way on earth you'd get me doing an e-coffee....unless it was for, say, -
Hello girls! I forgot to mention yesterday the retractible kabuki brush I bought at Target. It wasn't cheap, so I hope it's good, lol. I thought it would be great for my "at work" kit that I want to put together...since it retract into itself, I'm hoping the minerals won't get all over everything, lol.
I also saw the cutest mini train case at the mall...OMGosh it was cute. Not sure I'd be able to fit a lot in there but I may just have to get it for the cuteness.
Girly girls everywhere will understand that I'm sure.
Today's colors:
Starry Eyed...yes, love this. I had it at the lash line for a smokey look, then I also used it as an eyeliner.
Diary...very nice, but a little dark. I used that in the crease (used Pots & Pans all over as a base).
That's all the new stuff. I think the un-petroleum stuff I bought will do very well as a lip gloss, although I didn't try it today.
I think I'm the only one not joining the cult. I feel like an outsider nowI'm so sorry Susan! You can always talk about your Bare Minerals.
My favorite eyeshadow colors are from Bare Minerals and so far haven't quite found a great match in that regard...wish the BM hadn't started making my eyes burn and skin break out!
-
Hello and welcome MrsMH!
-
Kassandra,
I'll have to check out that diet, lol. I have my worst trouble at work. Stupid mocha creamers and stupid expresso machine!!!
-
I hope this means you'll become a patient soon.
Me too!
:)

Its almost impossible to say which symptoms are caused by Lyme, which by parasites, which by candida, which by an overwhelmed liver, etc. etc. Basically most of us just have alot going on and when you address each issue you take a burden off of your immune system. Ultimately, you want to remove as many burdens as you can identify so that you can regain your health.
This is sooo true. Lyme is my main problem, but I don't think it's causing all of my symptoms...it's just allowing all the other stuff to go bonkers.
-
oh okay...ah well hopefully some alternative testing will see what effect lyme is having on my body if i have it....question though, is herxing something really bad? i hope it isn't something terrifying/scary, because that must be hard with how sick you already are
Herxing is the body's way of reacting to the amount of toxins and bugs that are being killed off. It can make some people feel pretty bad, but it doesn't always have to, and there are some things that can make the effect a little less severe (sometimes). I haven't had a severe herx in a long time, and that's mainly because I haven't started any agressive treatments for any of my issues. The last time I had one, it felt like I had the flu. Different people may have different symptoms.
-
thanks, what's CD57 though?
It's a test that measures something called "natural killer cells". Not all lyme doctors use them, but some do and they can be a good indication of how the infection is progressing. Doesn't always match how someone is feeling, but amongst those who were tested in the OMG thread, the scores seemed to correspond with the severity of our symptoms.

Short update of my own. I had a BioSET appointment today...I'm at the point where I don't need to go that often, and we're done checking what they had me scheduled for, so now when I go in, they basically ask me what's going on healthwise, any complaints, issues, etc. So I told her (Denise) about my sinus infection.
She asked if I was having any other fungal symptoms, and I said I thought so because I've been having horrible itching, bloated belly, sinus issues and some other things, so she did the candida panel from the computer. TONS of stuff came up and sure enough my sinuses came up. TMJ came up and she asked if my jaw hurt...it has, but I told her it seemed connected to my ears...my ears hurt too...kind of like an ear infection. Sure enough, ears came up, lol.
So, I need to recommit myself to really sticking to the diet... I haven't been.
I made my next appointment for next month.
I also checked to see if I'm on the list to see Dr. Amy when she comes. They said she is going to try to come every MONTH!!!! That'd be cool!
-resistant to: amoxicilin, cefuroxime, ciprofloxacin, clindamycin, penicillin, potassium clacula, sulfa, berberin, and caprylic acid. I don't know what being "resistant to" means, but whateverIt was Metametrix. It was really thorough!I was going to say it sounded like my Dr.'s Data test. What they did for that was to test various agents, both prescription and over the counter, against the particular bacterial issues and see what worked best. For me and my particular bacteria Oregano Oil and Caprylic Acid was VERY effective against ALL of the bacteria. There were a couple of things that worked okay for one or another, but these two worked on all of them. So it sounds like the test you did tested your stuff against the various supplements and meds.
Donna, you really should try a neti pot. I still have my sinus problem, but the neti pot has been the only thing to give me relief. No, no
It's giving me e-coffee nightmares, lol.
i don't have anything exciting to say to you but i just haven't said hi to you in a while- I hope you are doing well and slept better last night.Hi sweet Mia!!!! It's always good to see and hear from you! I slept a little better, but apparently not good enough....my mom told me today that my dark circles are back.
They'd been getting better.
-
Yeah, after wearing new car smell all day, it did look a bit too orange on me. No danger of knocking Pink Ribbon out of the favorite spot with this one, lol.
Today's colors: Smokey Pink eyeshadow, In the Garden eyeshadow, Corner Office blush, and I tried Fairly LIght Neutral in Matte from the Buff category.
The smokey pink is fairly dark, but it's almost what I was looking for. Maybe if I mix it with a lighter color I'll get closer.
I LOVE In the Garden...made a great smokey eyeliner.
Corner Office was a nice shade for me...but Pink Ribbon is still holding as my favorite...I MAY be close to saying that I've found my perfect pink blush, lol. Don't get nervous anyone...I still plan to order way more blush than I can possibly ever use.
Fairly light neutral looked great, so now that's FOUR categories of foundation that I can wearl.
Bad news....my mom said my dark circles are back.
AND, that's WITH the sunlight concealor!
Good news....I went wild for Sassy Saturday and bought some glitter eyeliner (not really EM traitorism, keep reading, lol) and some glitter lipgloss. The eyeliner is so nice...got it in PURPLE and put it OVER the In the Garden....LOOKED GREAT...not too much sparkle, but just enough when turning certain ways.
I bought some stuff at Whole Foods called "unpetroleum jelly"
I'm hoping to experiment tomorrow with making my own lipglosses with it.
To the original Donna....what part of Ca. are you in...maybe we can share makeup tips...I am in So. Cal, border of LA and San Bernardino County
Dang, I am in No. Cal near San Jose.
I NEED some tips on eyeshadow application!!!! That'd be fun though.
-
Easy Mango...don't give in too easily...we may be able to get free cosmetic wipes for all of us out of this deal...
-
I actually used to hang out here in the beginning of it all, but I can't keep up with you all.
I need the slower paced much more mangeable little OMG thread.
Well, that or the pure nonsense makeup cult thread.
Quoting myself because I just realized you were talking to the OTHER Donna!
Sorry, I'm brain foggy cuz I gave myself a B12 shot and now my leg is going to fall off...carry on.
