Just some useless ramblings and factoids
I figured out that there are 30 more eye colors to order...13 of those are already in my cart, so amongst all of that I should surely find my perfect colors, lol.
I also have a lot left to try at home...probably at least 11 that I haven't even opened yet. And, I need to revisit a lot of the ones I've already tried. I hardly wear the full eye makeup anymore so it's hard to fit them all in, lol.
I've received 9 blushes, tried 8 of them and loved all 8, lol. New Car Smell is the only one I haven't tried...that's up tomorrow. Think so far, Pink Ribbon is still my favorite.
-
Did you get to try Exhale yet Donna?
...
A bit of good new! My makeup is finally with the delivery courier today.
Not yet...maybe tomorrow since I'll be trying New Car Smell...kind of in the same family.
YAY!!!! I can't wait for you to get your order!
-
OMG - what about the guy with the bag o' fingernails????
they actually put him through....
OMGosh...I had to turn the channel when Ryan was interviewing him... I just COULD NOT look at that bag'o'nails one second longer, it was actually making me physically sick, lol. I couldn't even watch his audition. Wow...

Adding my prayers and {{{hugs}}}!

I'm so sorry Paula!!! Sending {{{hugs}}} and prayers!

Snacks are hard for me...I usually end up eating things that aren't the best for me like nuts and nut butters (mostly because of the mold issue though). I also eat hard boiled eggs, which I sometimes make into egg salad (but then there's the mayo which I shouldn't have, lol).
-
No, no, no!!! I want EVERYONE to get their makeup FAST!!! I am so sad that some of you are waiting, waiting and waiting!
Okay, today's colors:
Okay, really one ONE color, lol. I'm pretty happy with the foundation, finishing powder and concealor, so that's all the same.
Blush: Favorite Hoodie! I think this may be my new f.....
j/k!!!
But seriously, I DO really like this. It was VERY scarey though when I tapped it out onto my margarine lid...it looked VERY dark and VERY brown, lol, but it's such a very nice subtle shade on...looks quite natural actually. I like it a lot, but not sure it outranks Pink Ribbon or Nick Nack as my favorite, lol. Up for tomorrow, New Car Smell.
Eye color: I have to say that I don't think I've found a color yet that just screams favorite. There are about 16 colors I have left to order, and I haven't tried all the colors I've ordered to far yet, but nothing so far has just really stood out as something I have to have. Today I'm wearing Oaisis as an all-over color, and I put a little Cypress near the lash line. Not bad, both are pretty subtle on me, so you really can't tell I'm even wearing eyeshadow...that was okay today because I didn't put on any other eye makeup, just really wanted to semi test the colors.
So, I'm having absolutely NO problem finding blush colors I love (I love all the colors I've tried so far, lol), but am having a hard time with the eye colors...hoping that that absolute favorite is in the next mini kit I order, lol. Otherwise, I may just have to defect to that other site for eye color.
Geez, some cult this is.....We are nothing if some of our founding members are being brainwashed by other brands, and straying so quickly
Well, I haven't actually PLACED an order with anyone else yet, lol. But is that the same thing as lusting after it in my mind?
I guess I HAVE to try it. I've got my free sample kit loaded, but I don't have any brushes. Can you all tell me what brushes I need to have?Hey, welcome to the madness! If you've never used mineral makeup before I'd suggest the long handled kabuki at the EM site, or a similar type of brush made for mineral makeup. The premium foundation brush is good too. The EM brushes are good quality and are reasonably priced. I think the long handled Kabuki might be my favorite brush, lol. I use it for blush mostly, but if I didn't already have a brush that I got from BE years ago, I would have purchased another one for foundation.
EDIT: Now that I've gone into detail about brushes I re-read your post and see you only wear foundation. In that case the Premium or Long Handled Kabuki. Now I guess you know how this thread got to be so long, lol!You know Donna and Mango I'm just giving you a hard time:D
Well, I never!!! Harumph! j/k

Do you all find that your friends don't quite understand your situations?
Well, I don't think they truly understand, but they also don't try to tell me what I should do to fix it (well, not seriously anyway, I've gotten the "you need to eat a ton of chocolate" thing, but that was in a joking manner, not seriously, lol). I think I am one of the truly fortunate people in regards to friends and family. My friends are pretty protective of me. When we go out they are the ones that grill the wait staff and make sure they understand I can't have whatever. I don't think they know all the whys of what's going on with me, but they just know I was really sick for almost 5 years and now I'm not, so they are very protective.
My family doesn't truly understand it all either, but almost all of them are suffering with ongoing whatever, so they don't question or try to tell me what they think I should do. It's very nice really.
So, has LED made any of you fatigued?I haven't done LED yet, but I was talking to Scott about it a couple of months ago and I think he said in the beginning it made him tired--but it was only like the first session or two if I recall correctly. I think Rachel's first session or two did also, if I'm not totally mixing that up, lol.
Good appointment with Dr. E, lasted 4 hours! No LED today.Oh Sherry, I definitely want to hear more. Do you have my email address?
I saw my brother today and we had a great talk! We cleared up some things and I feel really good about his progress and willingness to talk to me. He said in a family therapy thing in front of a ton of people that he wanted to get close to his "little sister." It was really sweet.I am going to try not taking anything for sleep tonight...we'll see how it goes.
I'm so happy for you!!! Sounds like a GREAT visit! Let us know how the no-sleep aid things went. I took my melatonin last night, but I'm considering NOT taking it tonight...I may try every other night and see what happens.
So today i will probably spend the whole day on the phone which is probably my idea of hell but hopefully it will prove fruitful and I'll get all this stuff sorted out.You and me both!!
I HATE the phone, lol.

I only watched the first half last night then went to bed...some interesting stuff, lol. Didn't record the second half because I was recording something else, so I'll just have to hear about it here.

I know I am so ashamed
EM might have to revoke that special cult founder's discount I've been getting LOL
Well, as I am sure I am next in line for the biggest cult spender, you can go right on ahead and order some other brands because then maybe they'll give that cult founder discount to me.
But, feel free to skip over my reply to the next quote.
Hey where's Susie? She needs to come tell us about her Luxe stuff!OMGosh, I have about 20 samples in my shopping cart over there. Haven't ordered anything yet though.
Ha, Mango (if you DIDN'T skip over that reply, lol), I haven't ACTUALLY put the order in.

Oh yeah is a probiotic good to take anyone if you still have fillings in your mouth?
Yes, you can take probiotics with fillings assuming you don't react to the probiotics.
It's really a good supplement, but you can't take it with Mepron.Yeah, I figured it must have something to do with something she was taking. I'm not on any prescriptions, except the B12 injections (if that can even be considered prescription, lol), so I guess that's why my LLMD didn't say anything.
-
But seeing how I only wear mascara and chapstick on a daily basis
Yes, but see you can mix the minerals WITH the chapstick for a little color.
Okay, I've tried to keep up to no avail.....Has anyone tried the blotting papers? I had a large box of them already so I didn't order them. Those really help mineral makeup look fresh. Just a little blot and you're good to go!
I thought the last give away shadows, the green and copper, would look awful on me. But, with just a little blending, they look fantastic.
I'm going to ditch my other skincare entirely for a month and see what happens with just the wipes and nothing else. Right now, I am so happy! My face feels like a baby's bottom and I actually much less oily! Go figure?
No need to keep up, lol, just post away. I haven't tried the blotting papers yet.
I loved all of the free give away colors so far!
The less oily thing is amazing because I put moisturizer on this morning, and though for sure I'd be shiney by mid-morning, but I wasn't! It's now the end of my work day and still no shine. I am amazed, lol!
-
Or, you could do what I do and just take a big old honking spoonful of nut butter!
-
Donna,
What is COQ-10 for? All I remember is my LLMD's PA told me NOT to take it. LOL! I don't know what it's for?
One of the tests the LLMD ran showed I was definicient in COQ10, so I've been on it since last year. It is produced in the body...something to do with cells. It's also an antioxidant and is good for the heart.

Darn, I wish my makeup would get here so I could talk about EM again!
!! Well, talking about what you're going to do when you get your makeup counts too!
I just had to pop in to say . . . that I can't believe you have managed to talk 40 pages worth of make-up!!!It's like listening in at a slumber party where you are all doing make-overs on each other!!
OK . . . carry on!
But fun isn't is?!

Julie,
I spend a TON on supplements. I'm up there with Andrea, maybe even MORE. I don't have to buy all of them each month though.
The ones I have to buy often:
Chlorella: approx $36 for 300 tablets...lasts about a month. I was taking a really good liquid kind that was $25 PER WEEK!
Liposomal Glutathione: about $30 I think, and I have to buy that twice a month
ALA: about $25 a month
Magnesium: I think around $30-40 per month (I get liquid that comes in vials)
CoQ10: Don't have to buy often, can't remember how much it is
Molybdenum: about $25 and lasts at least a month
L-Carnitine: don't know
Oregano Oil gel caps: um, don't remember but I rotate this with caprylic acid...the oil I got at Whole Foods and probably was around $13, the caprylic acid is probably around $25-$30.
I take a multivitamin when I remember (haven't been taking it for about a week now)...it's expense...$30 or $40 but lasts a while. I sometimes take a liquid vitamin called IntraMax...that's hugely expensive at $75 per bottle, that only lasts a couple of weeks if I take the amount BioSET says my body wants.
Neurotransmitter stuff: well, I spent $250 on my last order and that will last about two months I think
I think I take more than this but I can't remember them all, lol.

Oh yeah, I seem to recall something about that silk dust discussion. Where is my brain these days?
-
Hi all, about amalgam: it is officially forbidden here in Norway the first of january 2008. The new rules were passed on Dec 21th so many dentists did not get the news until they returned from holidays after new year on january 2nd.....
Gosh! Wish our officials would get a clue here, lol!!! Are you feeling better since having them out, and did you do any chelation to remove metals?
-
Looks like I missed some good stuff in the second half!!!
Must look for this stuff when I watch it later.
-
Woohoo for ALL our girls who got "hit on".
The other thing I noticed is that on their website it says that the sample kits are only really good for 3-6 uses! Am I not using enough? I have been using the same foundation for at least over a week now! And I accidentally spilled about half of it the other day.I wondered the same thing because I get almost two weeks out of one of those little containers of foundation. I think I could put on another layer or two and it would probably look better.
But then there's Mango who puts on SEVEN layers (is that all foundation?!
) and her's still lasts that long, lol.

Is it wierd that I signed up to be notified by text message on my cell phone when anything on my EM DHL shipment changes?
Feeling like I have nothing else to add to the madness of this thread until my order gets here.......
Um, weird, um no, why would you say weird?
Um, not that I've ever thought of doing that or anything.
ok im getting upset lol, this morning at the site it said it was shipped then when i go to dhl it says my tracking number cant be found, so i have no idea what is going on. Maybe i wont get it by friday.Paula, it sounds like maybe the number isn't in the tracking system yet. I think mine went a day or two before I could track it, and by then it was already on its way. Don't lose hope.
OMGosh, I went to Walmart twice today (that's another story, lol) and the man who checks receipts at the door said "hope you found everything you needed" so I said "I should by now, this is my 2nd visit today" and he said "well, I hope you come back again" with a flirtatious grin, I was like running out of there!!!!!! Can't tell you the last time this old lady has been hit on. LOL!Wow, very cool!

ah sounds great, hopefully i get lucky and it's an option...question though, will this diagnose all the ongoing issues in your body? like, how's it done? i hear it can find issues like metals, parasites, infections and say how much it's bothering you and everything, is this true? if so, sounds amazing for people with a lot going on/bad immune issues
Not so much of a diagnosis as a window into what is happening in your body. I'd also advise anyone to seek the help of a medical professional to help with whatever is found. Sometimes self treating can be detrimental unfortunately.
I've had two ART sessions and on the first session Lyme, Metals, and bacterial and viral issues were stressing my body most, and the organ most affected by the lyme was my thyroid, which TOTALLY fits with all my symptoms. I can't tell you how many times I've had my thyroid tested, only to have it come out normal.
On the second session, the bacterial load was only slight but the viral issues were gone. It finds what is most stressing your body at the time of testing.
It was very helpful for me because I felt like I was running around in circles trying to figure out everything...I needed something to focus on which thing I needed to work on first. Thankfully, this session lead me to get tested for lyme...basically just so I could prove the ART testing was hooey, lol. To my surprise my visit with the lyme doctor was the most thorough visit I've ever had with a doctor. He tested for TONS of things, not just lyme, to rule in or out other issues. To my surprise the lab testing found exactly what the ART session had.
-
i just asked on lymenet but doubt there's anything...ugh this is horrible, i have the worst luck and literally have no way out with this now, im screwed...i'm wondering if i should somehow try and get that ART muscle testing, i've heard it's amazing for seeing what's going on and how much of an impact it's having
Well, I know that ART was the single most helpful thing in pinning down what was most stressful to my body. That was the first "testing" to find lyme for me. I was later able to back that up with actual lab testing, but wouldn't have even thought of testing for lyme had ART not found it. Hopefully you will be able to find someone who will be reasonable.

Oh, I keep looking at my calendar wondering if it's the 19th yet.
Although if one picks apart their wording, it says to order the current special BEFORE the 18th.
I keep hoping tomorrow morning I'll see a new special.
Well, it's still in my cart, lol. I think I'm waiting for the perfect EM colors to manifest themselves before I stray.
