  1. Not so brave...stupid me thinks!

Funny thing about the chips...I'm NOT a chip person. I mean I've had a few in my life, but as far as snacking and stuff, I've NEVER been a chip person! So where the heck is this coming from?!:blink: It must be the candida/mold connection....stirring up cravings...

Were those big bags of Fritos or little bags of fritos? Hey have you ever had frito boats where you put chili beans and cheddar cheese on top with onions and lettuce and tomatoes. mmmmm. Good huh DDoonnnnaa....

Fortunately SMALL bags, lol! Oh and about the chili beans and cheese... LA LA LA LA LA LA LA ...I'm not listening.

BUT.....I *think* I can blame TOM for this.

Okay, I'll blame Tom too!

I got myself hooked on the almond butter again....now I'm gonna be needing an intervention or something.

We may be needing a group intervention soon.

Soooo...this week I decided to try to get around the mold issue. I bought some GSE (Grapefruit seed extract)....its antifungal...it kills mold.

Hum, bet that wouldn't work so well on corn chips, but I could try it on a couple of other things. :P

I'm betting this is what was going on when the OBGYN got freaked out by my ultrasound. I had been eating dried fuits, Edward and Sons crackers (which I've now realized are VERY moldy), jam, and gluten-free grains.

No wonder my intestines were out of control that day.

I'm thinking moldenings cause me to become more sensitive because they are fueling candida and causing more immflamation to my intestines. Not to mention that the toxins are circulating, causing allergic reactions, stress on my liver....and ultimately contributing to a worsening of food and chemical sensitivities for several days.

See, that's what I LOVE about this thread... a thread of discovery!

Hey Donna....I guess my BioSET results were pretty accurate. All the testing showed that molds were affecting me in pretty much every area of my body. The amount of body systems affected by molds was HUGE. I guess severe enough to make me one of the worst Anna has ever seen.

I'm gonna have my bloodraw for my yeast antibody levels probably early next week. I think it took 2-3 weeks to get the results back last time. I wont be seeing Anna again until these reults are in. I hope the levels have gone down at least a little. <fingers crossed>

I messed up and made my appt. w/ Dr. S. on a Friday again...<head banging emoticon>

This means I'll have to go back Monday or Tuesday for any bloodraws.

HEY...did you say you're gonna be there on Tues?? We're bound to run into each other one of these days!

    Oh sheesh...more waiting...please tell them I can't take the waiting. j/k!

Yep, I'm there on Tuesday! I think I get off work before you do though, but someday we really ARE bound to run into each other at one of these places!

Hum, maybe I'll paint my toes metallic electric blue (just bought some on Saturday ) ...that way you'll know me on sight!

  2. oh yucky-

i am having a horrible reaction to my lunch and have been all day-

    ...

I don;t think i am really feeling better lately i am just antsy and if i keep busy i can't spend time feeling like i am waiting . I really should just relax - i need too!! but i am not sure i was built to relax- i have never been good at it

Aw so sorry you have having a yucky reaction! I can't wait for you to see your new doctor!

I understand about the relaxing thing...I don't have quite the same ambition you do, lol, but I definitely find it hard to relax. The PT guy I go to tries to work on my neck and keeps saying "relax", I say "I am" he says "RELAX" I say "I AM".

  3. My sweetie found me, I think I've told this story once  , with chocolate on my face one morning last week. All I could say was, "I've gotta get off the rinnebars man."

OMGosh....I totally missed this!!!  Now THAT made me laugh out loud!!!

    Ack! A bagplosion!!!

(wish I could put that 'long-A' line over the A in that word)

Alright Donna - You say yell, I say how loud.

PUT THE BAG DOWN & BACK AWAY FROM THE FRITOS MA'AM!!!!!!!

    "I've got a pudding-filled MagicBullet and I'm not afraid to use it!!" <stern look>

 !!!! Oh, I forgot to say how much I LOVE my magic bullet earlier. Thanks for the yell. All is well for a few more days. They give us free snacks once a week...I think with the bag I took yesterday and the bag I took today, I have successfully cleaned out the Fritos from all cabinets. There is an advantage and a disadvantage to getting here hours before anyone else does.

The bagels I've had in my freezer for months...there were only two left...now only one! Still have all 5 bumble bars in my cabinet though. Yay for me, course that might be different if I had PB there too.

Okay, will put up one of the "baby" photos I have here.

    Thanks for doing this. :)

    You're welcome!

  4. well... i think that he is jealous because that you have a greater little antibiotic history sheet than he does

:lol: That was my 17 year old son typing ... I got my computer back now ...

If his protocols don't work for you, then the other guy might be a better fit.

    to your son!

I was afraid to start antibiotics myself, so I think this doc and I will work out well, lol. He will prescribe if he thinks it's necessary. I think I'm not going to be able to avoid them forever...I'm positive I have at least 1 or 2 of the co-infections that Scott says I have...

  5. Bagel? That wasn't a gluten bagel???? was it????

Frito's make me sick if I have too many. I don't eat them anymore......sure love them though.

I'll be waiting to hear whether his head goes towards his desk again at this next appointment. :)

It was a gluten/casein free bagel! But, that's bad enough. :(

I think all doctors have their specialty, even LLMD's, which is why we have to find the one whose methods are what you want/need.

    I agree.

  6. Ah yes, Tom and the rest of our shorter timers missed our spate of avatars showing our younger years, lol! Rinne left hers on.

He's very conservative with antibiotics anyway...he'd rather not use them. When I talked to the guy at Igenix....he said that Dr. S. is very conservative with ABX...while Dr. G. is very agressive with them.

That may be the rest of it. He actually shook his head REALLY long and slow and put it (his head  ) halfway down to the desk when he saw my little antibiotic history sheet.

  7. Donna - - your binge.:lol: I can so relate. I also like how this thread has always been such an effective confessional place for us. Some of my more sensible (read: insane?) friends don't understand when I eat an entire bag or batch of this or that......clearly everyone gets it here (except maybe Rinne?) ha ha ha!

    ...

got a new doctor yesterday - LOVE him - - and had full spinal xrays taken. we will see what happens.

Have fun with the wicked terrier...did I mention that BOTH of the dogs I've owned were terriers. :P They require a special kind of love.

Yay for the new doctor!!! Can't wait to hear what the xrays show!

Yes my binge...that's why I post here...I figure most will understand...

JUST SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME NOT TO EAT THE STUPID FRITOS NEXT TIME!!! Oh, or maybe it was the bagel that did it.

I have been free of D for almost a week, and now...bagel explosion!

  8. Well, I am certainly paying for my binges...and let me tell you that I do not own or use ANY computer that I can take to my bathroom.:(

I don't have excel. Do they have a free reader like Word does? You can send it to me anyway and I'll do some digging to see if they have a free reader type thing.

I can drop it into Word if you have a Word reader.

This week is going down hill fast for me. :(

I had a hunch I was off, as I can't read and process anything thats going on. I have stopped one of my meds that has given me horrible side effects, and now I think a flare/herx/whatever it is is starting. Sigh.

I am trying to keep up, but I'm thinking of you all. xoxo

    I'm so sorry!!! :(

  9. Drive-by Racheling confession:

I ate a bag of Fritos Corn Chips yesterday.

    And more,

I ate a bag of Fritos Corn Chips today, before 7:00 a.m.

    And more,

I also ate a gluten/casein free cinnamon raisin bagel yesterday.:ph34r::ph34r:

Back to your regularly scheduled thread...

Oh, and I have finished my spreadsheet (Excel) with everyone's Igenix results so if anyone wants a copy let me know.

  10. Current avatar is of a field somewhere between Le Havre and Versailles, France. Again, taken from a speeding bus. :P This one I didn't crop much...I took most of these photos with the intent of painting them someday, but alas, don't know if that will happen now. :(

The one on my personal page is the place we stopped in the Scottish Highlands for lunch. Wish I could remember the name.

  11. And part TWO,

Well, I'm still on my detour from Rachelville to Herxville. It's still not as bad as normal ... I'm still getting around okay, but the profound fatigue is back. I still have my air hunger ... added muscle aches today. This is how I used to feel when I wasn't herxing.

Well, even though you're not feeling good, it's still encouraging to me that it's not as bad as normal! I'm a little afraid to start treating the lyme.

I just hope it doesn't mean I'll be at the Zoo when it's 115!!!!

    ...

BUT! I just found out earlier, at the point of chicken prep where I'm used to having to sit down for a rest, I didn't have to yet! (Tom's pretty psyched!!!)

 on the zoo, but YAY on the not having to sit down!

But the kisses had too high an unwrapping/eating quotient. That's where the Nuggets come in.

    Oh heck yeah!

Its still sometimes hard for me to believe we've been here this long.

It is extraordinary....even moreso when we're all recovered and can look back at everything we went through together.

I cant imagine what my life would've been like going through all this w/out having this very special place to come to each and every day. Its made a HUGE difference in my life....given me strength, knowledge, friendship, support....and of course...lots of laughs.

This thread (and all of its participants has been a huge blessing for me.

    Majorly dittoing this!!!!

Oh please! I think u know darn well u have no intention of letting the men vote!! I'm not falling for it ya big tease.

Hi everyone else! Sorry I'm not following a lot of the thread, I can only skim a little every day.

No worries...it's nearly a full-time job keeping up here, lol. I had to drop another site I visited regularly for a while. :P

I had a chocolate pudding explosion after drinking magnesium citrate and prunes.

I may never look at chocolate pudding in the same way again!

    3) That cow has a Brit look about it

Yes...I wish my picture of the highland cow came out better...that would have been a giveaway!

I have alot of interesting stuff to post about the physical therapy type thing i am doing. But i don't have the energy right now. I will say have a really good feeling about it.

I'm so excited about your new doctor and this PT!!! Even though you don't feel well, you still sound better than you did a few weeks ago! Yay!

  12. Lisa, so happy you are feeling better!!! You sound better that's for sure!! Yay!

Sherry, so sorry you aren't feeling better! :(

    Hey Everyone!

(I've been meaning to write this for a while)

I don't think I've mentioned how glad I am to have stumbled upon this happy hamlet you've all created. There's no freeway exit; no signs posted anywhere.

Just a curious celiac wondering how a thread gets to a galactic 4digit-page# length.

Such an admirable group of regulars helping each other thru so many of the toughest of times & over SUCH a long stretch of time.

I find it extraordinary. Long Live Rachelville!!!!!

 Yes indeed, a very special place here and why sometimes we get a little protective of it. Not bad for a group of people who haven't actually met face-to-face yet. :P

    and erlich...(sp?)

I can't spell that stupid thing either. Hopefully I'll find out on Tuesday if and when I can get tested (via blood) for co-infections...from my ART testing I supposedly have Babs, Bart and Erlich...

Of course with more abx comes more candida issues.

I think this is one of the major reasons why my doctor is being extra conservative with the abx for me. :(

I think what is key is building up the immune system and then living a way of life that supports that. At that point whether or not it is completely gone becomes irrelevent because you have tamed the bugs and you are well.

I suspect there are many more relapses when people simply do the ABX and return to a lifestyle that doesn't support wellness.

Yes, I think this plays a huge part in it all!

OMG- I can finally post! Everytime I've tried to log on in the last 24 hours, the connection timed out on me so I've been reading along in my emails but unable to respond. It was like being gagged! Drove me crazy and now I'm too tired to post. Hope some of the good pics are still up (Tom, Donna, andrea).

Hope all is well and I have to say...today was two weeks on the antibiotics (I added plaquenil today) and my hubby and i have already noticed subtle changes in enery and mood! Yeah!

Oh Bev, YAY!!!! Subtle changes are good!

What's up with the websites these days. I STILL can't get on to lymenet either from home or from work. I don't usually have a problem with both home and work. Today I had a LOOONNNNGGGG delay getting into this site!

You have almost earned voting rights! Now you know why we all hang out here ... do you talk about us to your friends yet? That's always weird. Hubby knows almost all of you by name.

 Not too many people (well except my doctors) know much about names, lol. My doctors know Rachel obviously. My mom knows about the "message board". My friends do this  when I tell about my friends on "the message board".

  13. Okay, current avatar is of Greenock, Scotland...That is a Greenock cow, lol. Much rather be there than here. The one on my personal page is of clouds in Dublin, Ireland.

Maybe you just want to be bad.

 I do ocassionally want to be bad. Is that bad???!!

Hey you quit slandering my Quinoa!!!!!!

Yet another thing I can't eat...but much like Rachel...I wasn't overly saddened by this fact.

  14. I did something an hr ago that has to be pretty rare. Out of newspaper I wanted to read, I was reading this thread while on the toilet! (expected scatology alert!!)

I'm not one to bring electronics into the bathroom at ALL in the 1st place. The way I see it, only those who *NEVER* bring these things thru the bathroom door will never end up standing there, dejectedly looking down, deciding "yes, I do want that back badly enough". LOL

    !!!!!!

Hum, (responding to your other post, NOT this one, lol)...places I'd rather be...

Maybe I'll put up some of my travel photos...MUCH rather be there than where I am right now!
