Omg...i Might Be On To Something

Recommended Posts

Current avatar is of a field somewhere between Le Havre and Versailles, France. Again, taken from a speeding bus. :P This one I didn't crop much...I took most of these photos with the intent of painting them someday, but alas, don't know if that will happen now. :(

The one on my personal page is the place we stopped in the Scottish Highlands for lunch. Wish I could remember the name.

3) That cow has a Brit look about it :lol:

Couw maybe? It's not the colouring is it?

Or is it that it's alone that makes it looks bovinically British? (its mates having succumbed to mad-couw?)

<that was my favourite>

Hey everyone-

ahhhhh. this has been such a busy week i am run down!!

You're making me tired and I just got up. :P I don't know how you do so much when you don't feel well. You're amazing!

Glad the doctor will try and get you in earlier and that you got a chance to talk to him.

Also glad the other appointments are going well. I'll be looking for an update when you're able.

 Yes indeed, a very special place here and why sometimes we get a little protective of it. Not bad for a group of people who haven't actually met face-to-face yet. :P

Very true. We've all developed a special relationship.

 Not too many people (well except my doctors) know much about names, lol. My doctors know Rachel obviously. My mom knows about the "message board". My friends do this  when I tell about my friends on "the message board".

Hubby knows what's going on and likes to be kept up to date.

Bev, that nut joke you posted on the other thread.......hubby loves it!

I've mentioned my online friends to my mom and was just talking about some of it to Jessica (my DIL) a couple days ago.

I don't have excel. Do they have a free reader like Word does? You can send it to me anyway and I'll do some digging to see if they have a free reader type thing.

This week is going down hill fast for me. :(

I had a hunch I was off, as I can't read and process anything thats going on. I have stopped one of my meds that has given me horrible side effects, and now I think a flare/herx/whatever it is is starting. Sigh.

I am trying to keep up, but I'm thinking of you all. xoxo

But the kisses had too high an unwrapping/eating quotient. That's where the Nuggets come in.

 indeed, WAY too much trouble w/ the tiny foil wrappers and the annoying tiny paper strips......kisses seemed......more benign, somehow....

Jin

I had a chocolate pudding explosion after drinking magnesium citrate and prunes.

:huh::lol: oh dear..........

pudding explosion. oh now that is just so funny. Jin is a riot, is she not?

but words in Rachelville we cannot claim - - - VA JAY JAY. that one comes from Dr. Bailey on Grey's Anatomy. ha. It's so much fun to say.

Donna, I somehow knew your avatar was of somewhere in my fair isle but also because

1) It's very green

2) It looks damp and overcast

3) That cow has a Brit look about it

and she brings her cheeky Brit self over here to say hallooooooooooooooo!!! Hi Nikki. (I am conserving emoticons here as you can see)

Bev - your Talkeetna story. sounds so quaint......

Nuggets are Susie's normal vice ... perhaps she bought the kisses thinking she wouldn't eat the whole bag!

 she figured it out!!!!

Donna - - your binge.:lol: I can so relate. I also like how this thread has always been such an effective confessional place for us. Some of my more sensible (read: insane?) friends don't understand when I eat an entire bag or batch of this or that......clearly everyone gets it here (except maybe Rinne?) ha ha ha!

Tom said bovinically!

quoting himself. (lol face here)

Stopping the madness now

oh why stop now???

Laura, so sorry you're not feeling well. oh I just think there are so many ups and downs, aren't there?

Mia - I also am exhausted by your accomplishments! post when you can.

Rachel - how's the Guadalupe (spice ship)??

and a quick halloooo to everyone else. dingo'd the rest. Back is blown out - oh you guys don't even know about that, do you? wait....no I think I did mention it last week in percoset haze.

got a new doctor yesterday - LOVE him - - and had full spinal xrays taken. we will see what happens.

did I say HALLLOOOOOOOOOOOOO???

gotta walk the girls (and the wicked little terrier neighbor w/ us) before it gets too hot.

love to all.

LOL on the Fritos ... you've been craving them for a while.

Laura, sorry you're feeling bad. I'm herxing, too. Seems like we're on the same schedule.

You'll have to try a coffee enema that several of us find to be such a big help. I'll be using that and the sauna to try to pull through this herx .... I am wondering if that is what has made such a huge difference in how I feel, or if the meds are finally getting the bacterial load lowered now that I'm going after all three forms of borrelia ... or a combination of the two.

This is why we can deal with the people who don't believe us (doctors, family, friends, etc.). We get support here. I think it helps us get better, too.

Ab-sooooo-Lutely!!

The civilians can't get over the mental hurdle of the holy Dr. being so #!@&^! Clueless.

And trying to explain why I couldn't do so many things due to intestinal candida certainly isn't helped by the NIH site saying it can only be an issue for deathly ill Aids patients and the like.

:lol: Especially when you want to read the thread so bad you take the laptop into the bathroom!:lol:

Laptop?!! Even the smallest laptop is 10-12x bigger than what I use!

Originally named the Hiptop, it's the Sidekick. http://www.sidekick.com/

Best pocket web, email, IM, pim, etc phone ever!!

Came out pre-Crackberry, and the flip-out screen makes it *FAR* more space-efficient than ALL the rest!!

1st got it in '02 for email continuity while selling the condo. :(:(:(

Stuck w/ it for the surf-anywhere (looked up MANY an ingred/product while in store - no more "I should look this up when I get home"), and when finding that sitting up (like using pc) was a problem in minutes, using it on the couch or recliner was perrrr-fect! :)

When I wrote the bathroom post I com-*plete*-ly dingo'd the thought of laptops.

I haven't had nausea lately. I've really had a breakthrough!! :D

I've come to get a bit of happy chills reading lines like these. :):)

Re: Pudding Explosion - see p.1253

And Lisa!!!!! I'm blocking out your pudding for the funny one!! Great to see u joking etc in posts tho. I know I'm not alone in being worried/scared about your condition when u joined us.

Christine - wish I could help. No ideas here. :) best of luck tho :)

Kudos! Ow it makes me feel old seeing ref to "having them as a kid". I think they were part of the 1st wave of bars that wanted to appear healthy. (Breakfast bars? What other terms?)

But a closer look revealed sugar amounts VERY comparable to a snickers.

Rinne! I was figuring that pic was u. Wish I had some old pix scanned. Maybe I soon will as I JUST installed mom's new scanner. Even tho it's a combo printer/fax/copier the scanner IS a flatbed, across the top of the unit!! :D

Mia - "a really good feeling" = GREAT news in my book! Yay! :)

Aw dang now I dingo'd who was in the town of Talkeetna. :( Being on pc sure would be handy. I'd be using "tabbed browsing" w/ Firefox all the time.

Anyway, due east, and close by Alaska standards, is the other side of Hatcher Pass, the park my brother Pat was Chief Ranger of. I've been in the park a LOT and never got near the west entrance. CAN'T get thru 1/2 the year anyway.

Oh! oh! oh! OH!!

You simply MUST immed go to http://www.openoffice.org/ and grab OpenOffice.

It does everything, as far as I can tell (and I can tell pretty far), that MS-Office does, but the pricing is far more reasonable.

Wait did I say REASONABLE??? Meant to say non-existant. :P

That's right, the first 10 callers (out of *each* 10 callers), for a limited time - oh damn wrong again - for an UNlimited time, get $500 worth of office-suite for no cost!!!

I think I've used it since the 90s. The site above is hosted by Sun Microsystems, one of the original silicon valley server/workstation manufacturers and inventor/owner of the ubiquitous free-and-always-will-be Java pgm'g language.

Any doubts can be allayed by a search for reviews. Every major comp mag and site will rave, I guar-raaaaan-TEE!! :)

Except for a pc @work, with an IT dept in control, I say EVERY PC needs OpenOffice. :P

And thus concludes my Public Service Announcment of the day.

Any good advice about the teeth, IM thinking about seeing a holistic dentist, not sure tho expensive, I dont know what to do! And dont want to make the prob worse with an extraction,,, but I guess this root canal is bothering me after all. Or is it all in my head?

I read alot about root canals (poison), cavatations, jaw infections, etc...a couple months back. For diagnosing these types of problems you'd more than likely have to go outside of mainstream medicine.

Any suggestions I'd have would be geared toward alternative stuff...so I wont go any further than that. Hope you can get some answers though.

It reminded me of a friend who tried to boil eggs in a pressure cooker, the pressure cooker exploded and eggs were everywhere.

Hehe....I had an egg explosion myself a couple weeks ago. Tried to cook them in the microwave.

And how is The Dave? He was lots of fun to play with. :)

He's good...I havent talked to him recently...its been maybe a month??

Jin

I had a chocolate pudding explosion after drinking magnesium citrate and prunes.

LMAO....chocolate pudding might be permantly riuned for me now.

Rachel google kudo's. They have nice pictures for you to drool over. ;)

Heck....I work in a grocery store (with a bakery)...dontcha think I'm tortured enough??

I finally heard form the new doc last night he was so friendly he said he talked to my doc and he is going to everything he can to get me in a little earlier. He said there are not really any tests to do before i go in the day of the appointment he does heavy metal testing and some other mercury test.

I have to get my liver test redone becasue some things were high on my last one but it might have just been becasue of the diflucan. I am gonna call my doc about it today.

Wow Mia...you've been busy!!

I think you must be feeling a little better...dont know if you'd have been able to this much last month?

You do seem to have more energy...even in your posts. :)

I think we all have to focus alot on detox....since Diflucin is hard on the liver...it would have made it that much harder for your body to detox the other things....including the yeast die-off. :(

I dont think the hormones helped matters either. :(

I'm glad they're pushing to get you in sooner with the new Dr. Also glad the physical therapy is doing you some good. :)

I think this is one of the major reasons why my doctor is being extra conservative with the abx for me. :(

He's very conservative with antibiotics anyway...he'd rather not use them. When I talked to the guy at Igenix....he said that Dr. S. is very conservative with ABX...while Dr. G. is very agressive with them.

. . . . . . . percoset haze.

Aaargh my 7-posts-in-one experiment had only limited success. Shoulda been 8 or 9.

While 1st escaping those infernal pre-gluten-free times I found a theme song. The chorus ends w/ "Make my Haze blow Away!"

(Black Crowes - 'My Morning Song')

W/ some snarling sneering verses, choruses w/ choired background vox, two-guitar classic rock throughout, the poignancy of the catch-your-breath middle soft long instrumental bridge, the careening crescendo of the minutes-long grand finale - all make this song archetypical of what post-70s-heyday straightahead rock'n'roll was *supposed* to be. :):P

<my aren't we wordy this morning>

So w/out further adieu, if you'll indulge my lyrics pasting:

(@3:33 in)

If music got to free your mind

just let it go baby let it go,

cause u never know

If your rhythm ever falls out of time

You can bring it to me and I promise

I will make it fine

If your heart, is beating free

for the Very First Time

It will be . . . . . . all right

If your Sooooouuuuuul is let go,

oh baby u never know . . . . . . .

. . . .

. . . . . Will u let your Soul go? Let your Mind go? Let your Heart go?

I just wanna try . . . . . . . . try to make it alright

Make it alright

Make it All Right

This song, current resident of fav list, and frequent visitor to fickle all-time list, is like an emotional experience for me now every time.

Make my Haze blow awaaaaaaayy!!

Who else has personal theme songs?????

I read alot about root canals (poison), cavatations, jaw infections, etc...a couple months back. For diagnosing these types of problems you'd more than likely have to go outside of mainstream medicine.

Yes, mainstream doctors and dentists will tell you that mercury is perfectly safe (as long as it's in our mouth, it's dangerous toxic waste when it's taken out of our mouths). They will also tell you that root canals are no problem.

But if you think about this, gum disease has far-reaching consequences, not just in the mouth, but systemically because of the bacteria. These other issues are bound to affect your whole system as well.

My LLMD is a holistic MD. He prescribes medicine, but also looks at the whole person, not just the single complaint I started out with. He is working on natural ways of building my immune system while I'm on abx, which we all know is hard on it. He is also chelating the heavy metals, preventing candida, etc.

I like this integrative approach. He's even open to saunas, coffee enemas, acupuncture, massage, etc. as being aids to returning to health.

But, for all this, you have to be open to alternative treatments. Most alternative treatments date farther back than modern pharmaceuticals. Thing like acupuncture have been proven to be effective though they can't explain why.

Our modern medical system was highly influenced by Rockefeller who had enough money to "prove" that anything non-conventional was quackery. Up till then, people were more open to alternative treatments.

Here is a quote about Rockefeller's role ... it's, of course, from an alternative website. http://www.rawfoodinfo.com/articles/art_pharmaterror.html

When John D. Rockefeller interlocked his American-based, international empire with that of I.G. Farben in 1928 "there was created the largest and most powerful cartel the world has ever known. Not only has that cartel survived through the years, it has grown and prospered. Today it plays a major role in both the science and politics of cancer therapy," wrote G. Edward Griffin in a World Without Cancer and The Politics of Cancer Therapy.

A major reason why health care is in such a shambles is that the medical establishment has allowed itself to be bought off by the pharmaceutical industry, whose prime motive is profit.

Eustace Mullins described very well the roots of this nightmare and how John D. Rockefeller, with the help of the American Medical Association and government officials, gained control of America's "health" care industry in the early part of this century. "Educating" medical students was instrumental in their plan, Mullins writes: "Rockefeller's Education Board has spent more than $100 million to gain control of the nation's medical schools and turn our physicians to physicians of the allopathic school, dedicated to surgery and the heavy use of drugs."

He's good...I havent talked to him recently...its been maybe a month??

Guess he's finally given up on you.

He's very conservative with antibiotics anyway...he'd rather not use them. When I talked to the guy at Igenix....he said that Dr. S. is very conservative with ABX...while Dr. G. is very agressive with them.

I think all doctors have their specialty, even LLMD's, which is why we have to find the one whose methods are what you want/need.

Yeah....he might have ruined it for all the men who've come here after him.:lol:

Definately!

I dont think I gave him "directions" to the thread where I talk about my BM's.

I did mention Rachelville though....I think thats how he found us.

Okay, if I mentioned Rachelville, people would then KNOW I was nuts!:lol: Of course, they could probably Google my name with Lyme or Celiac ...
