  1. My daughter tested negative. She's double DQ2, but she's currently negative for everything else via Enterolab including casein sensitivity.
  2. My husband went to the beer distributor last night to pick up a case of Red Bridge. This particular store also carries New Grist and Bard's Tale and has a hard time keeping any of them in stock because they're so popular. Anyway, the owner told my husband that Red Bridge has been discontinued! I have an e-mail in to A-B, but I was hoping someone here would...
  3. I use Tinkyada pasta, the best IMO. What about using nutritional yeast and/or cashews to reproduce the cheese flavor? And, if its ever the color he doesn't like, you could always use food coloring. i'm not a big advocate of artificial colors, but I have two kids and I understand how freakin' picky they can be. I have to admit, I've made pink eggs before...
  4. Hey Scott, I don't know if you have a Super Walmart near you, but if you do I highly recommend shopping there. They label their gluten free foods as gluten free. Its so easy to shop there if you're in a hurry, just pick up a can and look for the gluten free stamp.
  5. Definitely ask for the manager. It may feel awkward, but its the best thing you can do to assure your safety. Also, I just wanted to add that if you don't feel comfortable about something, don't risk it. If you get to the restaurant and don't feel safe, don't order anything! I always take a snack in my purse just in case the manager or chef seems uninformed...
  6. They have it at Walmart?!?!?!?! No way!!! One more reason to LOVE Walmart!
  7. OMG, Amanda, you MUST try it! Its sooooooo good! They have it at the Kennedy Space Center. They also have it locally at the North Museum in Lancaster. I'm sure they have it other places as well.
  8. Do you guys remember astronaut ice cream from when you were kids? ITS GLUTEN FREE!!! Here's a list of their other freeze dried foods as well. Open Original Shared Link Kudos to them for listing all the allergens including gluten!!!
  9. I actually thought Amanda did well this week. I liked it. Oh well... I really hope Carly goes soon. There's something about her that I just can't stand! I used to kind of like her, but now I can't wait for her to go. I was so happy to see that America felt the same way. I really don't like Ramiele either. My faves: David Cook, Jason Castro, and Michael...
  10. We are doing well. Annika is still suffering from the rash, but its no where near as bad as it was while I was breastfeeding. We're are one by one going through the formulas trying to find the right one for her. She started on Claritin today for the itching and her rash seems to be MUCH better as well, so maybe that's our answer? Who knows. I'm just glad...
  11. Wow, I never noticed that I said to refrigerate after opening. I never have and I've never had a problem. I guess I'll start now though and be thankful we've never had a problem.
  12. Amazon also has a program where you get free shipping always and VERY cheap two day shipping for like $79 a year. I buy EVERYTHING from Amazon cuz of this. I think their prices are very competitive and I don't ever have to leave the comfort of my home. BIG plus with two kids. I love Amazon!
  13. Amanda, the only place I've ever seen it is at super WalMart. The one in Ephrata definitely carries it and I've never seen them run out. I buy them 15 at a time because I rarely get out that way and Tori likes cheese on EVERYTHING! They have it in a weird aisle (can't remember which one, but it makes little sense) so you may have to ask for help finding it...
  14. I too think it sounds like a real win win situation. Have you talked to her yet?
  15. I get itchy when my skin is exposed to gluten. I get no rash afterwards and generally no other problems, just itchy. I always just kind of figured it was in my head. Maybe not though if others experience the same symptom.
  16. OMG, it starts tonight already?!?!?! I'm so excited!!!
  17. I found this... It was last updated mid-2007 so its probably relatively accurate... Open Original Shared Link Hope that gives you the info you're looking for. Looks like Desitin AND A&D are both gluten free.
  18. I don't know how accurate this is... Its almost two years old. Open Original Shared Link
  19. The stripper David... Hernandez...
  20. Here ya go, Manda... Open Original Shared Link
  21. Yeah, Kristy sucked last night and I think she'll probably go home tonight because of it. I hope Chikezie keeps rockin' out southern style like that. That was really cool. I think that may have possibly been the best Idol performance ever. I think the only other one that ever blew me away like that was Constantine Mouralis' Bohemian Rhapsody. Who do you...
  22. OK, I'm totally not a Chikezie fan, but... GO CHIKEZIE EZIE!!!! Wow, he was HOT tonight!!!
  23. we have private insurance and its barely affordable as it is. they raise our insurance when we just get a cold. I can't imagine how high their insurance would be if Tori had a real issue.
  24. We need to keep all of this off of the books. Is there a reputable mail order place similar to Enterolab to get her tested for Iga deficiency?
  25. Okay guys, I'm going to leave this to the experts... I'm confused with these results because we thought for sure that she had Celiac and this shows she doesn't? The double gene thing - does that mean that both my husband and I carry the gene for Celiac Disease or just the gene for gluten sensitivity? Should my husband get tested? What are the odds that both...
