  1. "No gluten ingredients" is just sort of a safer way (from the company's perspective) of saying gluten-free. It's sort of a cya thing - at the off chance that there might be some cross contamination. I've eaten quite a few Amy's products and have never had problems with them.
  2. I liked it too! ....they're smart to rebuild a situation involving McDreamy and Meredith. I kind of want them together again I loved Yang's speech about Burke as well.
  3. Hey everyone. I do have limited amounts of both those things , but I need to place an order soon! I still have a lifetime supply of eye shadow and blush , but my foundation is running low. I'm looking forward to being able to order from the new site.
  4. Favorite color of the week: Mystic Night - awesome eyeliner - surprisingly natural-looking (it's a dark sparkly purple/blue - but somehow appears very natural! ) p.s .Hi Andrea! So glad you joined the cult!
  5. Wow, this is a really informative thread. I'm adjusting to quite a few environmental changes right now (I just moved to a different continent lol) so I'm hoping I will adapt eventually, while maintaining my ability to breathe. Where I currently live, the second hand smoke is absolutely impossible to avoid. So yes, I have to be where I...
  6. A lot of the articles I'm coming across on asthma are about children, but I'm assuming this is something you can develop at any point in life? I remember an allergist telling me I had exercise-induced asthma as a teenager, but I was never sure if that was a correct diagnosis. Anyway, I've been exposed to extreme amounts of second hand smoke lately ...
  7. I'm pretty much a vegetarian. I don't eat any meat (I would if more free range organic options existed where I currently live and I would eat fish if I didn't live in a landlocked country) but anyway - I don't have problems. I can't do gluten, dairy or soy. I do eat eggs. I mostly eat rice, beans, lentils, eggs, fruits, veggies, quinoa, olive oil, nuts...
  8. Hallo! I am so not caught up with the thread! My internet connection has been really bad lately, but I've seen the new site and it looks great!

  10. These places are not directly downtown, but not too far either if you rent a car: Hillcrest Farmer's Market - on Sundays - it's really great Ranchos Mexican Restaurant - organic mexican - I usually get the veggie plate Ranchos Vegan Market - many gluten-free items - next door to the restaurant Cilantros Live - a few locations throughout SD I...
  11. Donna. Your post over there cracked me up. Okay so have you guys been talking about the latest special? (I'm behind, sorry ) They have pressed blush now? That is kind of exciting, right? And....does anyone have Ivory foundation? Is it darker than Fair Neutral? If I'm going to order more foundation, I might as well not make it easy on...
  12. LOL I don't know. You should see the post office here. It's like going to Jupiter. Nothing makes sense, and they pretty much just charge random amounts depending on how they feel that day Oh well, I will still not switch back to BE. EM is just too nice to my skin :D
  13. Donna... about the tank tops. Kass. - Maybe if you hate the gym you can go to a yoga or dance studio....or find a nice trail you might enjoy walking or running on. You could find some stairs or a hill near the beach to run up and down. I found a good trail last summer and I always looked forward to getting outside and working out because of...
  14. coconut oil, olive oil, meats, almond butter. You can make a ranch-type dressing with cashews and she can dip carrots and celery in it, or she might like almond butter on apples. You could make gluten-free pasta and add olive oil to the sauce. Maybe she would like bacon (organic, healthier versions of it?) You can bake gluten-free treats with coconut...
  15. Hi make-up friends! I mean, hi gluten-free make-up friends! LOL So I have a crisis! Okay, not really....but....I've almost gone through an entire large container of foundation in about a month and a half. I think that's a slightly psychotic amount of foundation. Anyway, it's okay because I have one back-up, but after that I am going to have to...
  16. "Clean meat" generally refers to animals that were raised without hormones, antibiotics, chemicals, toxic feed, unnatural habitats etc etc etc etc etc. Any conventional meat you buy from the regular super market will usually will involve these things. Organic or locally raised free-range meat might be a bit more "clean." Nitrates are known to be harmful...
  17. Okay...two things: 1. I have a great little light blue jacket that now has multi-tasking colored stains where the fabric hits my face. The make-up won't wash out. Grr. 2. This new website better be the most amazing thing anyone has ever seen LOL. They've built it up to the point of ridiculousness, and they've been talking about it for eons...
  18. Hi - Sorry you are having a hard time. Just some thoughts.... What is your diet like? Do you eat plenty of whole, healthy foods? Do you get the correct balance of carbs to proteins to fats? Do you eat sugar? Do you eat processed foods? Hope you find some answers soon!
  19. LOL about the U Do all the silly people just automatically do that everywhere now?
  20. I like natural. It's more of a complexion enhancer than an actual color. I think it would be too light for you guys though. (It's basically just a very subtle shimmer).
  21. Clicking on "view new posts" is definitely the easiest way to read the board (and all of the posts - whether or not they are pinned). It took me a while to figure that out when I first joined.
  22. In that case I vote for Tennis Boy
  23. We might be talking about colours.......we might be talking about something else..... hmmmmm, the things we wish we knew......
  24. oooh I like it. Are you wearing Oasis?...hmmm.....Snowflakes?......In The Garden?......Ping Pong?.... (they really do *think* we're discussing make-up, don't they? muahahahahah  )
