  1. Most of those items are fructose-free. I know goraw stuff is. The raw vegan section of a health food store should have plenty of snack options. Enjoy Life? By fructose do you mean absolutely no fruit derived ingredients, or just no processed fructose?
  2. It's the projectile vomiting symptom. With casein the reaction isn't usually instantaneous. You can't really know she's okay with yogurt and cheese until she's totally symptom-free, and still eating those things. I could be wrong of course, but it can't hurt to test it out.
  3. Okay let's start a new list. Best possible names for new EM colors (yeah I have work to do but this would be more fun ) 1. Dust Bunnies (sparkly gray eyeshadow) 2. Lint Trap (gray eyeshadow, without the sparkle) 3. Yoga Mat (a nice blue eye shadow) 4. Streaky Mirror (multi colored face highlighter) 5. Green Algae (kind of like mint.....
  4. Well, yeah. It's kinda cute sounding. I can picture a nice gray eyeshadow with flecks of sparkly white. Dust bunnies would be the perfect name, and it would go nicely with the "missing socks" lip gloss.
  5. ! I don't know, but I want that job! ...and I actually just checked to see if they do in fact have something called "lint trap" (they don't really, right? I mean it wouldn't surprise me )
  6. Her symptoms really sound dairy-related to me. You might want to consider trying her on a dairy-free diet (you would have to be DF as well, if you're breastfeeding).
  7. Yeah I think those bars have always been made on shared equipment. It doesn't mean they have dairy in them though. I'm highly sensitive to casein and I can eat them without problems.
  8. Ha yeah, I know. I just thought it was funny in the context of this thread. Has anyone tried Spring Clean? I really like the browns, and that looks like a good one. How about Yard Sale or Sandy Bottom?
  9. Perhaps you missed the first 175 pages of this thread?
  10. I think maybe the company grew too fast. They can't seem to handle being personal with their customers and managing the larger site at the same time. Bummer. The whole thing "lisa" wrote about the "wonderful EM family" is pretty odd, IMO. Oh well.
  11. This is from another EM cult thread (yeah there are others besides us ) If it's true it's super weird! from acne.org:
  12. I also think she was rude and that would have bothered me too. But, maybe she just wanted more information about celiac disease and didn't go about asking in a very polite way?
  13. I had that same problem going gluten-free, and I'm pretty sure I'm not diabetic. First I craved sugar, then I craved protein. Eventually everything evened out.
  14. I have problems with all milk. However, I've definitely heard of people who can tolerate milk from grass fed, organic cows, but not milk from conventionally raised cows. Do you live in the US now? If so, I'd imagine that the "regular" milk in Switzerland is quite different than the "regular" milk in the US.
  15. Yes, I have that problem when I eat a lot of sugar too. When your body feels like that, it doesn't actually need sugar, but rather a good balance of protein/fat/carbs. Try to majorly cut back on the sugars and see if it helps.
  16. Try to make your diet a little more natural while you heal. Don't be afraid of the fruits and veggies. Everyone is different, but for me that kind of food greatly helps. I definitely agree with dksart's food suggestions. If nothing else, take out the I can't believe it's not butter and consider replacing it with a natural oil (I use olive oil for...
  17. here are some things you can pack: peanut butter (and maybe jelly) on Corn Thins (or rice cakes) wraps made with Food for Life brown rice tortillas (fill with you favorite veggies and hummus, or make them into burritos using rice and beans - and cheese if you can do dairy) ...or use corn tortillas for the above carrot and celery sticks with hummus...
  18. The pecan one is made from soy though, right?
  19. It does! I especially love chai lattes made w/ the vanilla flavor. YUM! It's great for baking too, and for smoothies, and for cereal. It's pretty much just awesome in every way! (I really am not a hemp milk sales person, I promise LOL).
  20. omg they have a gluten-free cookie dough flavor! I'm moving back to the US for this!
  21. He can't have that brand of rice milk. He can have Pacific rice milk, Whole Foods 365 brand rice milk....there are a few others as well. You can also just go entirely without milk substitutes if your son doesn't really like them. Oh - and I second Shay's hemp milk suggestion. That brand is quite good and offers some nutrition you won't find in many...
  22. The reactions aren't always different. Both lactose and casein can cause intestinal distress. Casein often causes other problems as well (especially sinus-related issues) but does not have to. It sounds like cutting out dairy completely would really benefit you. I've never heard of a casein intolerance test, except the one from Enterolab. Honestly...
  23. Ha, yeah, I did. Everyone should seriously just move to Europe for faster make-up delivery. LOL
  24. Hi Nikki! I'm in Prague...but I think the Tesco products here are the same (at least that's my guess since the ingredients are in English - often covered up with a Czech sticker - which drives me nuts) - but anyhow..thanks for the info! I like their organic stuff - mainly because the labels are easy to read and it's really inexpensive.
