  1. When if I read the labels on the chip bag of Doritos and other Lays products, I was jumping for joy inside. Just enjoyed a snack bag of Doritos myself and they were wonderful. :)
  2. I am so with there. I was 29 when everything hit the fan with me. It was hard at times to adjust. Especially when you get those cravings for something that is totally off limits with gluten. For me, it was more with donuts. There is a gluten free bakery about 2 hours away from where I live, and I get donuts from there when I can. Just thankful it's...
  3. I have more of the neurological side effects (brain fog and muscle jerks/twitches). Reaction time could be within the hour to 24 hours.
  4. Sending out a distress signal for anyone around. I have possibly just been glutened at work of my own stupidty (potluck day). Any suggestions on how to stop the process if I start showing symptoms? I do not want anyone at work to know to know of my problems.
  5. This happens even when I don't get glutened.
  6. Is there anyone out there who has some problems with depth perception and slightly skewed vision due to the gluten?
  7. I tried Pamela's flour and it works ok. (aside from being extremely expensive) I actually tried Pillsbury about a month ago and like it better tastewise and for the checkbook as well.
  8. So you have Celiac. Ok. But you can still live a relatively "normal" life, even with its ups and downs. We live with this disease knowing the cure is right there, staying away from gluten. Others are not so lucky with their diagnoses that have no absolute cure: diabetes, ALS, congestive heart failure, cancer, just to name a few. Don't get me wrong...
  9. I start showing symptoms within the hour of ingesting gluten. Usually it is in the form of brain fog or every system in my body slows down to a crawl. It is only then a matter of time if I don't get to the Frankincense in time. I do agree with the other posts that it could very well be anxiety related that you start to "react" within 30 secs. It's a very...
  10. It could because your body will have to work harder to continue healing and to work hard to digest whatever you eat. My opinion is this, lay off on any "hard to digest" foods, such as popcorn and processed foods. This will give your body an easier time to heal without having to do double duty. After a time, slowly start to add some of the things you deleted...
  11. It is the same for me as well. My first reactions can appear from 1 hour-48 hours after ingesting gluten. The above posts are giving good advice. Hope your son gets better soon!
  12. I have been gluten free for about a year now, and have felt great. We had gone out to eat for my brother's birthday over the weekend, and he chose the place to eat. I was so very careful about what to eat or not eat while at the restaurant. The waitress even gave pointers on what would be glutened or cc'd by gluten, and I had followed it to the best of...
  13. How long have you not been eating dairy products? After a about month or so going without, start to slowly add it back into your diet. I had cut out all dairy when I went gluten free last year. When I started to add it back in, I found I could handle a small amount of any dairy. Felt like a lead ball in the middle of my stomach after eating too much dairy...
  14. For me, it was more neurological symptoms, but yes you will revert back and forth for a while before things start to feel "normal" again. Your body will be more sensitive during this time of healing because it's recognizing the gluten for what it is, poison. I want to encourage to take the advice from the previous posts into consideration. Let some things...
  15. It could be that your body is not able to handle any type of grain or starch at this time. When a body is at the start of the healing process, there could be other foods the body just can't handle at the time. This seems to be a common thread and topic among those who are starting the gluten free journey. For me, it was dairy. It felt like a lead ball...
  16. Don't give up. Prayers and hugs.
  17. OK. So here's a few things to think about. #1 Even if the second test tested out negative, you still have a positive test for gluten issues the first time. Never mind that doctors told you to disregard it, it still tested out positive. Your body may have playing tricks on you the second time, I don't know. How long have you been gluten free? If it...
  18. How is it possible to separate the test and have it turn out to be negative? Doesn't seem to make sense, but that's the medical profession for you at times. GGGGRRRRRR!!!!!!! Anyway, I would think that if something tested positive for gluten, you are at the very least gluten intolerant. if you have not already, something to consider is to go gluten...
  19. There is a healing Touch Practitioner who is also a nurse in Johnson City. Her name is Mary pat Fitzgibbons. Her website is: Open Original Shared Link. Her phone numbers are: (607) 217-7023 and (740) 607-4038 is her cell phone. Not sure as charge per session, but it's worth a shot. The ones I have been attending is relatively in range of $40-55 a session...
  20. I can understand where you are right now. All the doctors are trying to make an educated guess on what you have while you suffering from whatever is going haywire in your system. This is when I turned to holistic health and healing. The majority of the holistic health I have been doing is Healing Touch. I have found at least two (maybe more) certified...
  21. single celled organism. The test did not show which heavy metal was in system. now through almost all of the regimen, and I do feel better. When I first started on the all natural supplements, it felt like I was walking through sludge. Now, at the end, things are better I do believe. I have yet to have an episode, which seemed to come up at times even...
  22. And we trust everything the CDC says when it declares something as all inclusive. I am sorry, but I will need to draw the line here. I know of several people who are sexually active who have no problems. On small soapbox here, so please bear with me. This is just one of the myriad of vaccinations CDC/society says we need to give our children before...
  23. Do you know what happened during these "episodes" other than the auditory perceptions? Seizures are not fun man, been through them myself after eating gluten. Then you feel fuzzy in the head for a while afterwards until your brain turns back on. Then when your brain turns back on, it feels as if your brain is trying to catch up for lost time going into...
  24. The symptoms will probably disappear over time. It's like if you keep scratching at a sore, it will take longer to heal. It's the same concept with your body healing for ingesting gluten over a period of time. The body kept getting irritated from the gluten and it will take a longer period of time compared to a short time period. At the beginning of going...
  25. My story is similar to yours, Gabriel. All of the sudden, my symptoms started to appear out of nowhere. I too had some major stressors in my life before the cataclysmic event. If a person's body had been coping with gluten for a while and then a fair amount stress is all of sudden tossed into the mix, the body just would not be able to cope with another...
