  1. oh my! hearing a doctor use the phase gluten allergic is so cringy. you would hope they would know you can't be allergic to gluten and that the test you had wasn't an allergy test. I can't believe he didn't even mention celiac disease to you considering you tested positive for it. you definitely need to find a doctor who is better informed. did they test...
  2. what are gluten digest pills? that sounds a little suspicious to me when you were diagnosed with NCGS were all the tests negative or did you have positive blood tests and a negative biopsy
  3. this is so strange i've never heard of being diagnosed from a barium swallow. i didn't know it was even possible to see villous atrophy from an xray. someone else probably knows more information about but im pretty sure there are other things which can cause villous atrophy so villous atrophy doesn't always means celiac disease.
  4. if anyone actually suspects they are deficient in vitamin b3 please get tested by a doctor before taking high doses of vitamins that can cause side effects posterboy, i don't know how you find all these suspicious "doctor" websites, i guess anyone can create a website, call themselves a doctor and give unreliable medical advice. it might be helpful...
  5. hey vicki IgG and igG4 testing is not accurate for food intolerances. the high results indicate the foods people have been eating most frequently it is then wrongly interpreted as meaning they represent food intolerances. its possible that you could coincidently be intolerant to those positive foods or you may have no problem with them but i wouldn't...
  6. great eatingfigs sound good i have been thinking of trying collagen supplements but after researching it i couldn't decide if it would be worth it. walking definetely helps me more than anything else its the only things i have seen improvements from. thank you thank you! thats really interesting, i never even thought about nightshades i will definetely...
  7. thats really nice to hear, i guess i need to be more patient and hope it gets better. thank you for the advice, i do used topical NSAID gel aswell that and ice seems to help the most. i can't either any sort of oral pain killer makes me feel so sick and nauseous for hours then i feel worse and it doesn't help the pain no doctor seems to understand that is...
  8. will do! thanks so much
  9. hey does anyone else have really bad joint pain? and could describe what their pain feels like or experiences with joint pain? i've been going round in circles with doctors all year about my joint pain. none of them think celiac disease could be causing it. i just dont know where to turn anymore i've had mild pain in both knees since 2012, had xrays...
  10. did they check your total iga to see if you were deficient? that might explain having normal ttg iga and high ttg igg. it might be worth asking for the hla gene test as well
  11. i wouldn't trust everything on that list, they don't even consider rice to be gluten free. the whole website seems like its trying to scare people into buying their books, memberships, tests etc
  12. its not just those specific examples its the bigger picture no one is saying that Vitamin B3 is not important or that B3 deficiency doesn't exist. The point is you may think that you are helping people but in reality you are giving people dangerous advice based on inaccurate information you have quoted from unreliable / questionable sources. then...
  13. wow! to anyone else reading this now or in the future please take it with a grain of salt.. or the whole salt shaker haha just because someone has doctor in front of their name doesn't mean everything they say is factual, reliable or unbiased. This guy has a doctorate in chiropractics not medicine and a website dedicated to selling vitamins...
  14. im really glad you are feeling better! i am however also skeptical of heavy metal toxicity, i saw a natural health practitioner about 6 months within the first 5 minutes she had decided i had leaky gut, sold me a bunch of natural supplements/herbs/digestive enzymes which i took for a couple days and got very sick, ended up costing over $300. They also...
  15. that is really interesting about cortisol. yes my vitamin d level is normal but am taking supplement as i'm not going outside in the sun. i really hope yours clears up by going gluten free juice is definitely better than cola hopefully that will help your body as well.
  16. hey that's definitely confusing. i'm assuming the first Iga result ttg iga? i agree with your doctor that you should peruse further blood tests for celiac disease. get your total iga checked to rule out an iga deficiency as that can cause false negatives on the ttg iga. i would also ask for dgp iga and dgp igg or a full celiac panel. i believe it is possible...
  17. im guessing my fordyce spots are extremely mild compared to what you have then yes i agree with you that something is unbalanced on the inside of the body rather than the outside. i don't try to treat it anymore as i have learned to manage it over the last 8 years like you i have tried taking vitamins for E and B2 which had no effect. i would like...
  18. do you have exfoliative cheilitis aswell? or just fordyce spots i've had fordyce spots and exfoliative cheilitis since 2008. went to many doctors and dermatologists took me over a year to even find out what i had as no doctor was familiar with exfoliative cheilitis or had ever seen a case. the dermatologist sent photos to all his dermatologist friends...
  19. yeah most multivitamins only have very small amounts of iron so its definitely possible to have low iron even if you are taking supplements. its also possible for it to be low while eating a lot of iron rich foods or without having anemia. or your levels could be completely normal but since you have hairless i would get it checked and then if they are...
  20. did your doctor mention anything about high ESR? i don't know much about that just that it indicates inflammation. also maybe get your iron levels checked if you haven't recently, i had hair loss from low iron and low vitamin d your not vitamin d deficient, but the normal ranges seem to vary between labs, on the results i had anything below 50ng...
  21. just curious which type of parasite and heavy metal did they say you have?
  22. just curious which type of parasite and heavy metal did they say you have?
  23. other than the dh biopsy, have you been tested for celiac? it is possible to have it without any classic symptoms
  24. exactly i think that's why its such a hard topic to advise anyone on because everyone reacts differently and no one can predict how your body will handle it that's why i think it is very important to listen to your body
  25. i believe TTG igG can be slightly elevated by causes other than celiac so i personally would peruse a further diagnosis but it did go down from being gluten free did they ever test total Iga as well? or DGP Igg? i have issues with low blood sugar as well i have to eat every 3 hours but have found a slight improvement from eating more low...
