  1. I don't think so. Been using that pan for a long time and haven't had issues.
  2. The rice says it's gluten free but I can call the company. I don't remember the brand. I didn't rinse it first. The chicken is Harvest land and it's organic. The garlic powder is McCormick and I've been using the same container for weeks and it doesn't bother me. The butter was new out of the package.
  3. I've recently been eating white jasmine rice from Thailand. It's gluten free, but I have been noticing loose stools after eating it. I don't have issues with gluten free processed foods that contain rice, so maybe it isn't the rice at all. But the last few times I've eaten it I've noticed issues the next morning. Last night I had some with butter and garlic...
  4. Well I seem fine with dairy, but my doctor said that a lot of people have issues if they eat it in large quantities. I eat yogurt daily. I also eat cheese everyday. But I space them out most of the time. And I eat Halo Top ice cream a few times a week, but again, not a huge amount. And it's not consistent. Sometimes I'm fine with dairy. Most of the time I...
  5. I can't imagine. My aunt was diagnosed in the 90s and she said she would cry every time she went to the store. She was so sad and didn't know what she could eat. I can't imagine. I'm grateful for the awareness and the support I have found. Looking back, last night I had a milkshake. I promised my little guy that we could have one, so I made one. I used...
  6. Thank you for responding to me. You're the best. I think my expectations are high. And I think that you were like me, and had pretty significant damage. I think we were both stage 3b, right? Maybe I'm still healing. And maybe my anxiety disorder is causing this and it's not even related to celiac. I don't know. It's frustrating I know you get it. I'm sorry...
  7. When I was first diagnosed I was eating corn Chex and they were making me sick. I think it was the corn. Chex does a good job of keeping things safe, but if you're like many of us you might have issues with corn. Even still if I eat too many corn chips I get a weird stomach. Try the rice Chex. Those have never bothered me.
  8. Hi Gary! my TTG was high like yours. The lab I used topped out at 100, so I only know that my number was ">100". That's high. Obviously. I had my biopsy a month later and immediately went gluten free after that. That was November 8. On January 17 I had the TTG done again as a follow up for my GI appointment and it was 12. My doctor was like "Whoa...
  9. I'm frustrated. First of all, it's maddening to have Celiac, because I never know if a stomach ache or loose stools are because of gluten or because of anxiety, or something else entirely. That drives me nuts. I notice that sometimes in the mornings, especially when my anxiety is bad, I have these 50/50 stools. The first half or 3/4 is totally normal...
  10. I also like Canyon Gluten Free Bakehouse. Franz makes a good one too and it's easy to find. I live in a smaller town so the canyon bread isn't as easy to find. But I can buy Franz at Walmart. I like it a lot more than Udi's.
  11. I've been gluten free since November 9th. It's been up and down, but I would say that since February it's been "mostly" up. I have intermittent days when my belly is weird, mostly just loose stools. Today is one of those days. I wrack my brain trying to figure out if I had any gluten and I am sure I didn't. I'm so careful. But when you have celiac you...

Also, can I buy the udi's and keep them in the fridge, or do they need to be frozen?

    ARCHIVED Business Trip

I figure the eggs are ok because at the store they're not enclosed, rather in an open cooler. I also have raw eggs in there as well. Do you think those are ok? They felt cold but not as cold as if I was home. Same with the hard boiled eggs.
  14. I'm on my first business trip since being diagnosed. I brought all kinds of food with me, as I'm in a Hilton hotel and I have a fridge and microwave in my room. I brought yogurt, cheese, eggs, fruit, bread, peanut butter, Terra sweet potato chips, Popcorn Indiana popcorn, snow peas. Does anyone have tips for me? Ideas for what I can eat, aside the things...
  15. I don't Usually use the super processed stuff, which this is. I use the spices or the gluten free spice mixes. I assume maybe something just didn't set well but I doubt it's gluten because I believe they're reputable. My husband doesn't have celiac and said his tummy is weird too, so I doubt it's gluten. I'll call them today to be sure.
  16. That's odd. When I was diagnosed I was told by several people on here, along with multiple online articles that said that mccormicks is safe. And I've never reacted to them before. It's actually the only brand I use.
  17. My question is, how long does it take for the anxiety to fade? My anxiety is out of this world. It's horrendous. I have health anxiety and it's real, and it's bad. I thought going gluten-free would help me and I think it's actually gotten worse. But I don't think that's from being gluten-free. I think having an AI disorder panicked me. I've been on the diet...
  18. Thanks I didn't pay attention to how long ago this study came out and wasn't sure if anyone had any "recent" data or information. Plus, my retainer is a Hawley retainer and I think it's made of acrylic. I'm not sure that would even have gluten products in it. I'll keep wearing it.
  19. My husband bought some McCormick's skillet sauce on Sunday and it says it's certified gluten free. We always use the gluten free seasoning and I've never had an issue. I've just noticed the last couple days that my tummy has been kinda funny and I can't really think of anything that I've eaten that would have caused it, so it may very well not be gluten....
  20. Ok, so, here goes. Today I had my teeth cleaned, and this was my first time there since I've been diagnosed. I double checked that their tooth polish is gluten free, and they told me it's safe. I feel fine. Tonight I was at Walmart looking at buying some mouth wash (I was scolded, as per usual), and I Googled gluten free mouth wash. I stumbled upon an article...
  21. Oh yeah. I'm 6 months in and still have bad days, even though I know I'm not eating gluten. It takes a long time to heal. I have been on here a lot in the past 6 months venting because I didn't feel good. I just posted today about how tired I still am. Everyone has basically said the same thing - give it time. Be patient. It can take a long time. Some people...
  22. Ok, so I have another question for all of you professional Celiacs. I read an article recently that talked about a study that was done on people with Celiac's disease, which said that some of them (a small number) had high levels of arsenic in their systems because of all of the rice products that they eat. Now, I don't eat a ton of rice, but we do have gluten...
  23. So I've been gluten free for 6 months. I gave it up the day of my endoscopy and never looked back. I was a fairly silent Celiac. My blood work was always normal (never anemic, malnourished), I didn't have all the horrible symptoms that others do. I think I caught it early and that those things were definitely coming. Since going gluten-free I notice that...
  24. Ask them for a copy of your results and find a good gastroenterologist in your area. Go there and give them the results. That's what I did. I didn't even bother with my GP. I got the results from the health fair and called a GI in Denver. My insurance didn't require a referral. My GI was the one who put me on the track to being accurately diagnosed. And regardless...
  25. Also, I had my bones checked a few months back (In January), and they were awesome. I'm still shocked at how well my body did with Celiac. I hear about all of my friends on here who had crazy horrible symptoms and I never did. I'm grateful. Because those ugly things would come eventually.
