  1. Nikki- if you are in London, do you Listen to Virgin Radio Classic Rock? We listen to it off the net in the States, great channel.
  2. Starburst and Skittles are gluten free
  3. I got braces after my diagnosis and just got them off in May. The cement was no problem at all. I even cehcked. Hope that helps. Also the retainer is removable, so if she is taking it out in a gluten filled atmosphere it could be getting CC and there would be no way of knowing that.
  4. I know I posted on this a few months ago, I had read an article on Wegmans website, and they pretty much feel the same way you do. I agree. The article is still on their website, it is located under the food allergies area. It says letter to FDA or something.
  5. I have not had a problem with Kraft carmels. Now I don't use them often though. Kraft is a very good company when it comes to labeling gluten free.
  6. Got this one from the MIL this morning...so cute! Two second-graders are arguing over whose father is the biggest scaredy-cat. The first kid says, "My dad is so scared that when lightning strikes, he hides underneath the bed." The second kid replies, "Yeah? Well, that's nothing. My dad is so scared that when my mom has to work the nightshift...
  7. I'll take a homemade lunchable....I am hungry and they sound so good!
  8. I have seen the mini packages out for Halloween, now I will buy them to snack on at my desk...honestly at work I live on candy. Outside of here I eat very healthy.
  9. So Sugar Queen Amanda here, just took a stroll down to the hospital cafeteria to get some sugar. I picked up a package of Starbursts which I have not had in the longest time. The package says gluten free in small letters under the ingredients. It was exciting! Thought I would share especially in time for Halloween!!!
  10. We use a big Igloo when going far, when it is a short trip I use my insulated cool pack lunch box. Both work well for us. When we travel there is only two of us though, no kids yet. So when our needs change in the future I might have to look into other options.
  11. I think the varnish is a good idea.
  12. I wish I wasn't at work, but hopefully my future aunt saw it, she has an autistic child.
  13. That is so frustrating. I hope you can work things out. I like the idea about finding someone who can get her lunch in the case you are not able to make it to lunch that day.
  14. They not only make you work...they want you to smile doing it LOL...no actually I really like my job, I work with cancer patients who are on clinical trials. Right now we are getting ready for an audit so it is crazy around here, and not the good kind of crazy either.
  15. Patti- Thanks for the tip, I would be there scraping the counter
  16. I didn't mean to be skimpy...I am at work and sometimes I have to be careful about what I am doing...dumb hospital rules Not a big-big wedding, about 100 or so invited, mostly his family is big. It is in his church outside of Harrisburg and then at the Auto Museum in Hershey for the reception. My colors are lilac and I am having a beach theme wedding...
  17. My date is November 3rd, Actually that is not my man in my avatar. My man is not really into photos. The man in the avatar is actually the owner of Wegmans, my favorite grocery store. Our new store opened 1 week ago and they all came down from NY and he was real friendly. So we talked about celiac for a bit and I got a picture. It was a very fun day. My coworkers...
  18. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will not have snow on my wedding day.
  19. Another Central Pa celiac,

    ARCHIVED My Diagnosis

Deb- I am glad to hear you finally are getting some answers. Keep us informed on how you make out.
  21. Congrats on your little bundle of joy!!! We have just had two other members give birth in the past month. I hope one of them sees this thread and can give some answers.
  22. Hi Liz, I am not sure what advice to offer, my hair did grow back once gluten free. I would look at getting all your vitamin levels tested just in case it is something that minor. I do understand how you feel though, I lost alot before diagnosis.
  23. I like that, the remote is classic!
  24. I'll take a Raspberry Long Island Iced Tea...a very long Monday has finally ended.
