  1. Congrats Patti!!!!! As a present to you we may send the parade your way, as long as I can round up the other party/parade participants. I may have to let you know in advance, we may not be able to have Danny join us, he is currently trying to defend his reasonings as to why they will no longer be selling tobacco products at Wegmans. He said he will try...
  2. I am sorry to hear about your friend. You and her family are in my prayers.
  3. Thankfully today is a much better day at work. Things sailing smoothly on this end will help with the search for my next move. I won't be in such a hurry to take the 1st offer just to jump ship. I adore children. I am a kid at heart and I can go down to their level and that helps a lot.
  4. I too think a cleanse would be risky. Sometimes they do more good than bad.
  5. I used to always have the cracked lips before going gluten-free. It was always in the corner of my mouth. I would get it cleared up and then it would return. It was so frustrating. I also used to get these sores in the back of my mouth on my gum lines, at first I thought it was my wisdom teeth, they were coming in at that time. I got my wisdom teeth out...
  6. I am not sure I can do self-employment. I may not have the discipline....and being an in-home child care giver comes with a lot of hard times. I have seen many have to go out of business due to allegations of this and that. I think it may be easier to work for an established chain.
  7. Thanks for the kind words Julie! I think I know deep down that a move is what is right, it is scary though.....I just need that push.
  8. Sillies I did some soul searching today....I am thinking of a career move, I might go back into the childcare field. I miss working with the little ones. I worked in daycare for a few years, and then I ended up at this center with a high turnover rate with staff....things went downhill and with me being sick then (before celiac diagnosis) and in a rough relationship...
  9. Last time I checked, Emily borrowed my half of our brain today
  10. Maybe I am just cold-blooded, all my lab has been in the normal ranges. My dad is always cold though....I inherited it
  11. I wish I could share my brain too...but I can't find mine either.
  12. John is getting better. The Finger Lakes were wonderful, we were there in the off-season so it was colder but still enjoyed it. We ate at Tastings, which is run by Wegmans, very celiac friendly. I had the best meal there ever. The other meals we just made in our hotel, it had a kitchen in it. There is also a Wegmans in every direction so I didn't have...
  13. I am doing my best to ignore....sometimes it is very very hard.....
  14. Usually when I need it I buy it at the gluten free source in Dillsburg, I get the Grainless Baker all purpose flour. If I am in a pinch, the grocery store....
  15. It appears almost all of our sillies are accounted for today I feel like a stranger to this thread these past few days....
  16. When I am unhappy I don't usually go for food....it is very strange. I am the opposite, when I am down in the dumps I can careless about eating and I don't even feel hungry some of the times. I have been working out at home a bit. I would like to work on my stomach and my thighs....those seem to appear the largest to me when I look in the mirror.
  17. Lucky loves when the patio door is open or the bedroom window that faces the tree. I opened the window for a bit on Monday night but it made the house chilly so I closed it...it had only been open a crack. I probably could have gotten away with it last night since it was very warm. The wind is picking up though....the leaves are flying all over the place...
  18. I know Patti, and I am enjoying it! We actually turned the heat down the past few days in the house. I think it was 60 overnight too last night. Comfortable!
  19. LOL! It is very difficult to eat in a chinese place because the language barrier is hard...I have found that out at many places near my house....it is very frustrating.
  20. Morning Everyone! Can you believe it is 61 degrees out in PA in Jan???? This is nuts! I wore a sweater to work....I guess it is going to be cold again starting tomorrow...but still very odd weather.
  21. This is good to know, sometimes I have the craving for this and now I can buy it.
  22. I have many days like that, I sleep with a fleece blanket all summer long. Now the past few weeks I have been warm which is nice, even for bed I have been wearing shorts, which for me a odd. I usually am bundled even if my house is not that cold. We keep the thermostat at 72. At work, it is always cold....even the other people I work with always have sweaters...
