  1. Welcome! I think she meant what symptoms are leading you to the scope...the things that aren't already attirbuted to the other issues.
  2. such insensitivity from those that are supposed to love us! After my doc figured out the intolerance, I'd come home, dinner would be waiting & I'd end up not being able to eat it. "Yes I understand you took the time to do everything but I CAN'T eat it" He would literally get mad enough that he wouldn't speak to me for the rest of the night. or sometimes...
  3. I just found a vodka in made in texas that is gluten-free & Wheat Free. homemade in small batches & YUMMY!! www.titosvodka.com
  4. I'm constantly amazed that by reading others posts I find links to things I had no idea were related to the gluten. For years I would pass out around 11 then wake up 3 or 4 times a night for no reason. The last couple years before eliminating gluten, my elbows & hips would be so achy I thought I had arthritis! The weird tickle in my throat that would...
  5. Thanks Penguin, I feel better now! hmm, well then I must just have an issue with MSG on it's own and that's fine. I did buy some Cocoa Pebbles & a Snickers bar after I read some of the posts here...can I tellyou how excited I am to eat a mainstream cereal??? Of course because I'm nervous I'll try them at home! The other thing I was...
  6. LOL! Instead of a burping contest... Before dx it was almost constant..bend over for that pan and there it goes, 1/2 the time not even knowing it was there. 1 of my sisters would ask me if something crawled up me & died. Funny now, not funny then. After 2 yrs very rarely get gas & then it's usually just before my period.
  7. That's fantastic! I'm glad families are starting to get the seriousness of it. This'll be my 1st holiday season away from my family & my housemate is really good about understanding & finding other ways so I'm hopeful!
  8. Good luck! Let us know how it goes... {{{hugs}}}
  9. the only deli meats I'll eat are Boar's Head, they have no fillers. And I do ask them to clean the slicer & explain why. I try to do it either early morning or late evening so it;s not so much of a hassle for them. Other than that I totally avoid deli meats/hot dogs
  10. 1st of all, I didn't mean to inflame anyone. This was not meant as a sweeping statement. I had done all the research & walked in with the info, etc. To be asked if I was sure I was ill and then having a manager & an owner essentially refuse to share ingredients was, well annoying. I also tried at least 3 different locations across MA. I'm from...
  11. I've had a reaction within 15 minutes of ingesting, after I have the meditation hour in the bathroom I'll still have bowel pain and nausea for another 2 days to a week depending on what it was & how much. Other times I just get the painful twinges in my bowel off & on for a few days (I think this thends to be if I got CC)
  12. OH YAY! I thought it was a new or leftover oddity!
  13. I recently tried Shiner Beer in Texas and didn't have any immediate reaction but I'll tell ya the next BM was definitly solid. There's something about the ingredients & distillation process my BF had checked it out before even mentioning it to me. Havign said that, I'm a Grey Goose kinda gal, never was a beer drinker
  14. off to the restaurant kitchen with my exec chef...now I'm confused!! I JUST read the L&P in Massachusetts! I think I get more aggravated with the constant stream of contridictory info than anythng else Wasn't someone gonna write a booklet???
  15. my doc told me Anything that sinks to the bottom of the bowl is normal. Loose or tight depends on what you've been eating (notice the difference when you eat alot of nuts?) I hate when you go and finally get up to leave only to turn around again cause you're not quite done
  16. I;m just learning to cook as weel. My ex did all the cooking although it turns out everything he made I was allergic to! Never learned growing up, so now at 35 I'm finaly learning...sometimes it comes out really yummy, other times I toss it.
  17. I'm ALWAYS hungry now...always snacking on something. I try to stay away from junk food as much as I can but I can eat awhole bag of Tinkinyada by myself!
  18. YUMMY YUMMY pizza! There's 1 across from where I work in Sedona
  19. hmm, I thought I just saw that all MSG's has wheat starch in it...gotta go find that list again
  20. Figures, I just moved from Boston (lifelong resident) to Arizona! hmm, maybe they'll ship me some beer
  21. hate to break it to ya, but L&P in US is NOT gluten-free, 1 of the main ingredients is Malt Vinegar. The nice waitress actually was very good about writing everything down (including clean bowl & utensils etc) & this was the 3rd time Outback had made something wrong at 3 different locations in Mass. She actually brought me everything she could...
  22. LOL! Well I WAS trying to put it out there in a socialy acceptable way! LOL! I was wondering because if kissing can CC how can that not?? That & before diagnosis I had issues with rashes (gak! that just sounds so wrong & icky!) Ok here's another...birth control pills...can we take any of them? Is it the generic has fillers & the name brands...
  23. There is a company that makes blue cheese on a silicon pad instead of on bread...I'll try to find it for you. I know Outback uses it... Gillian's Foods makes croutons and the BEST bread crumbs, actually all their products are yummy & you can order online! They have recipes as well www.gilliansfoods.com
  24. ok this is kinda odd...I'm also a night owl, NEVER eat before 10am, for me I'm just not hungry. as a kid I'd sometimes get nauseaus (sp) lid morning when the school nurse would give me cereal, lie down for a few minutes then I was fine. Right now I'm actually doing a 9pm - 5am shift and starting to feel even better Wonder if there's a link to the night...
  25. Does it feel like the nerve going down the inside of your right leg is burning, hurting etc? Mine was my lower back & that nerve, as well as frequent urinating, ok frequent doesn't begin to describe it. Turns out my bowel was so swollen it was pinching that nerve 24/7 as well as constantly pushing on my bladder. ok so being male not quite the same...
