  1. Thanks for the updates Vincent. I'm glad that Meg's doing well! Danielle
  2. I hope everything's going well. I understand the military stuff. I'm currently taking care of my cousin's kids while she is in Iraq, and getting them to run tests is like pulling teeth (I want all 3 of them tested for celiac). I wanted to test them through enterolab, but the military will not accept any outside diagnosis like that . The dr even told me...
  3. Good luck Meg! I'll be saying lots of prayers for you, your family, and your surgeons (and the rest of the hospital staff). Danielle
  4. I hope that Meg is having a good day.
  5. You're awesome Vincent! I'm so glad that Meg had a better night and that you were able to get some much needed rest. I checked her webpage yesterday, and she is such a cutie!
  6. I'm sorry that Meg had a bad night; hopefully today is better. I'll keep praying or Megan and the rest of your family.
  7. I have not been able to gain, and it's driving me crazy! I was diagnosed at the beginning of Jan, and I really need to gain. Right now, I'm about 100 lbs, and I have tried so hard to gain. I know that I am getting some nutrition, because I have grown about 1.5 inches in about 2 months (from 5'8" to 5'9.5"). According to my dr, I am about 40 lbs under my...
  8. I agree with what everyone else said about having a lawyer contact the hightest person at the hospital. What they are doing to Tianna is HORRIBLE. They are supposed to be helping her get better, not make her sick! I feel so bad for both of you . Can you remove her from the hospital AMA (against medical advice)? Since she is under 18, hopefully...
  9. Sorry for being off topic, but my 16 yr old sister just read your post, and she is so excited that you spell your name like hers! She's only met one other Cari before, and it was the person that she was named after. Back on topic: I hope your son gets an earlier appt. I have heard good things about Enterolab, and I myself am considering using it for...
  10. That's an awesome story Vincent. I'm glad that Tymber has made such an amazing turn around . Being able to sign is such a useful skill (you'd be suprised how often I have to use ASL when I'm out in public), so I think it's great that you will continue to teach him ASL. Danielle BTW, I LOVE his curly, red hair. Too cute!
  11. Welcome Kassie! I'm Danielle and I'm 21. I was diagnosed around the same time as you, and I'm glad that your feeling better! I remember reading your mom's posts about you and your sister. BTW, how's Tianna doing? I hope she's improving. Anyways, you have joined a great group of people, and if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. Danielle

    ARCHIVED Had My Appt Today..

{HUGS} Lisa, I'm sorry that you are going through all this; it really sucks. But, as everyone else has said, you are really lucky that you have a dr who listens to you. Hopefully he will find out what the problem is soon, so that you can start feeling better. Take care Danielle
  13. I'm glad everything went well.
  14. That's awesome news Tanya!!! Way to go Megan!!!!!!!
  15. I'm still reacting to the cookie crumbs I really like the seizure idea, that will show them how serious this is (I have had seizures in the past, and I know they really scare my family). The Drano idea is pretty awesome too, maybe I'll do something like that next time someone tries to force me to eat something that I can't have.
  16. THANK YOU SCOTT This site has given me so much information and it helped me make a smooth transition to a gluten-free diet! Thanks a million!!!!! Danielle
  17. It's so sad that she's gone; the boys are having a really hard time with everything. Unfortunately, she signed up before the kids were born, and she can't get out until early next year. My sister just found out that she doesn't have to work Turs, so that is great news (she's dissapointed; she wanted to spy on me ).
  18. Awesome!!!!!!!!!
  19. It's official; I snapped. It happened Sunday morning when I went to babysit, and the mom, in front of a large group of her friends, announced, "Oh my gosh, you look so thin and sick." She then came over, grabbed my arm and declared that my arm looked anorexic. So, I replied, "Yes, my arm is refusing to eat." She kept looking at me, and then she came over...
  20. Thanks! He's my almost 2 year old cousin (he'll be 2 on July 6) Sean. He's my miracle baby because he was a 16.5 ounce preemie, and now he's a "normal" 2 year old (the terrible two's are driving me crazy ; but I still love him ). He's having a hard day today, because he just went cold turkey off the paccy, and he's NOT happy (and not shy about letting me...
  21. My date wanted ALL the info. I wasn't really comfortable telling him all the issues that I have if I eat gluten (not an appropiate table discussion ), so I just told him that it makes me really sick. He made sure that the waitress took me seriously, and he kept telling her to make sure that my veggies were cooked in oil only, and that a clean grill was...
  22. Yea, he ate gluten-free. He laughed when I told him that if he ate gluten, he would have to brush his teeth before kissing me. When I talked to him today, he said that he'll carry his tooth brush and tooth paste with him from now on . There is an official 2nd date on Thrus!!! We're going to a minature golf/ arcade place called Fun Works. The only problem...
  23. Mine too! I loved that article; very interesting Danielle
  24. That is so cool! I hope Amanda has fun meeting Cinnanella!
