  1. I've been drinking them about every other day for about 2 weeks. At first I didn't think I had a reaction. Since I have DH, the reactions can take a week or more to happen. Makes it hard to figure out what it was. I've have been having increasing DH over the past 3 days - and drank one of these almost each day this week- so I'm suspecting them. I...
  2. According to Clan Thompson SmartList PUBLIX brand "Super Bubble Bubble" gum is gluten-free.
  3. Regular 100% ground or whole bean coffee is totally gluten-free. What brand are you drinking? Got to be careful of mixes and flavored coffees or things like coffees with added stuff like chicory (but I think chicory is ok). Also POSTUM is a BIG BIG no-no since it's made from a grain (barley?). I have no trouble with ANY regular coffee. Coffee...
  4. Does Glutino make muffins (blueberry, lemon poppy, any kind)? I LOVE GFBreadbasket.com's bread (great texture and flavor) so I decided to order their rather expensive Coffee Cake muffins this last order. THEY ARE AWFUL. They are extremely granular, like eating coarse sand and they made me gag - the flavor isn't too great either. I may try to toast...
  5. Clan Thompson List has Duncan Hines Homestyle Cream Cheese Icing as Gluten Free - but not made in dedicated facility. I have eaten Duncan Hines with no problem.
  6. I have been drinking the "high protein" Slim-Fast Chocolate and the "Optima" Chocolate shakes a few times a week for about 2 months now. I have had no reactions to either. The ingredients on the label seem ok. A conversation with Slim Fast corporate person led to "those 2 shakes are probably gluten-free, but we cannot guarantee it, but please wait for...
  7. Here's the website for Mrs. Butterworth's (Pinnacle). They have a link for online questions and comments. Open Original Shared Link
  8. The bite size snickers' bag I have has no gluten ingredients in it! I wonder if geographical region has anything to do with what formula is distributed?
  9. The Clan Thompson "Smart Drug List" has them listed as "UNKNOWN" with comment that "No Gluten ingredients are used but could be cross contaminated". Their website says the same thing: (They are made by Pfizer) - They use no gluten-containing ingredients (and they specify gluten-grains) in any of their products, they cannot guarantee that CC did not occur...
  10. I just bought Sabbrett Hot Dogs at COSTCO. They too, are gluten-free.
  11. My favorite (and I'm very very picky about breads), is either Mock Rye, Country white, or Cinnamon Raisin from Open Original Shared Link. They have both great taste and great consistency. They are the ONLY gluten-free breads I will eat.
  12. Rebound effect is very easy to get....however, I don't think that digestive symptoms are rebound when taking the OTC for migrain..... Here's an interesting thought: I discovered that SOME (not all) non-individually wrapped American (and others) cheese slices are noted as being gluten-free on lists, websites and on labels. However some OFF BRAND...
  13. Coca Cola sodas are on all the lists I could find - as gluten-free with no caveats or conditions. That legaleeze stuff they put is probably about just about everything processed, mfg'd, packaged, or "made up" and not just raw food - UNFORTUNATELY. I have never had a problem with any of them (Barq's, all the Cokes, Pepsi, Ginger Ale, most of the sodas...
  14. Clan Thompson Drug List has several varieties of Excedrin, including Migrain, as gluten-free as of December 2005 (less than a year ago). They have no "notes" either. Some Excedrin has caffeine in it. If you are sensitive to caffeine that could be the problem?
  15. According to Clan Thompson Database, the "Natural Chicken Broth" is also gluten-free. BUT, is that the organic? They list it separately from the regular Beef, Chicken and Vegetable Broths.
  16. I have not tried that brand, but a lot of brands I did try crumbled so bad I threw them out. And they tasted terrible too. I have found TWO brands that don't crumble: GFBreadbasket.com and EnerG.com. I like the taste of the GFBreadbasket.com breads best - the EnerG can be pretty dry. The GFBreadbasket breads really are GREAT. Taste like the real...
  17. Other than the CC issue with Oats, CAPT Crunch is gluten-free (at least this batch that I currently have). They took the "malt flavoring" out and only have "corn flour, sugar, oat flour, brown sugar, coconut oil, BHT and a bunch of vitamins" now as the ingredients. So, although the ingredients list is completely gluten-free - I understand that the CC...
  18. Unfortunately this one did not. They said I could store stuff in their kitchen if it was small like a bottle of insulin and I could get to it during cooking, but not serving hours. At one hotel that told me they had no fridges I cleaned out the "little fridge" in the room that has a key and snacks, beer, etc and put my own yogurt, milk, etc in it....
  19. Yes, that's the Dr. (thanks, couldn't remember). And I'm not being defensive here (written words have no tone of voice!): I do not cheat, I eat Gluten Free - not Gluten Lite! However, we all get unintentionally "glutened" or forced into glutening - and that's what I am referring to. I went to a "retreat" for work last weekend. At a place that...
  20. Lubriderm, like most common lotions, comes in multiple "flavors". One of them is "Oatmeal" - it's the one with the green print on the bottle and a picture of what looks like a wheat plant! Also not safe is Aveeno, with Oatmeal. Oatmeal is a popular "itch relieveing" ingredient - but it makes me itch! Oats are often CC'd with wheat in the US. And...
  21. Well, I'm another guilty person, I suppose. I have DH (and no gastro symptoms) and I avoid the obvious things such as "wheat germ lotions" or Oatmeal lotions (like Lubriderm), but I don't look at the ingredients of makeup or shampoo - unless it says wheat or oatmeal in the brand/product name or description. I have not had a problem, even with DH being...
  22. I just emailed them a nasty-gram too. I see no value-added to the "malt flavoring" (from barley) that all the cereal mfg's love to put into the recipe. The only thing I can come up with is that they want parents to think the cereal is lower in sugar and kids to taste it as sweeter. Malt flavoring maybe adds to the sweet flavor and so they keep the kids...
  23. Prunes are Gluten Free. My box of Sunsweet Prunes has ingredients of "Prunes " (which are dried plums). Note that prunes can give you diarhea! They are notorious for that and people eat them to "keep them regular" or to cure constipation! I get diarhea if I eat too many dried apricots, raisins, prumes or even apples! So it's either that effect...
  24. Clan Thompson Database (recent version) has it as "UNKNOWN" but notes that the mfg (Unilever) says they disclose on the label anything that's got gluten and "buyer beware-type" clause!
  25. I get Tall Cafe Latte's in the airport Starbucks and have never had a problem (I even get the whipped cream when I get it "iced"). And CLAN THOMPSON List has them as Gluten Free (Cappucino too). Go get caffeine.
