ARCHIVED My New House Is The Size Of A Shoebox
Green12 replied to imsohungry's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Good idea about the sheets. You can also look for clearance cotton or other material (besides vinyl or plastic) shower curtains for drapes or closet covers, or divider panels to save money. Any pictures yet Julie, I am anxious to see what you have done. -
ARCHIVED Dancing With The Stars
Green12 replied to Green12's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
What does everyone think about who was kicked off first, Monica Seles for the ladies and Penn for the men? I felt so bad for Monica, I thought she was judged harshly. This is something she was totally not used to doing, no dancing experience whatsoever, and she put her self out there to try something new, I thought she did pretty well considering. ... -

ARCHIVED Any One Else Sitting In The Dark From 8-9 Tonight?

What is this? I haven't heard anything about it. Is it only for the east coast area? it sounds like a good idea, we should do this all over. -
ARCHIVED Any "lost"-aholics Out There?
Green12 replied to TriticusToxicum's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Nobody commented about last week's ep, Meet Kevin Johnson. Was everyone as unimpressed as I was? This was the least favorite of this season's episodes so far for me, Michael is not my favoeite character on the show. I guess it was good to get a little bit of an explanation about what happened to Michael after he left the island, but still so many unanswered... -
ARCHIVED I'm Worried I'm Allergic To Dairy Too!
Green12 replied to Dolcenotte's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
It's not uncommon for celiacs to have issues with casein, the protein in dairy products, as well. Because of the damaged villi the casein is difficult to digest. Some doctors even advise their patients after a diagnosis to avoid dairy for 6 months, and then reintroduce it on a trial basis to see if symptoms continue. The symptoms you describe here... -

Good to know. I saw the new Frosting Mix packages at the store and wondered if they would be any good. -
ARCHIVED Spaghetti Sauce

My favorite is Amy's Family Marinara Sauce, labeled gluten-free right on the jar. -
My menu is kind of boring, I just rotate my proteins wih starches and vegetables. My proteins are: Beef- hamburger patties, roasts, and brisket Chicken- Mexican chicken, marinated in salsa, garlic, oregano, cumin, and lime juice and then grilled, and different varieties of hebed chicken, i.e. rosemary, garlic and lemon and then grilled Turkey...

ARCHIVED Everyday Minerals - Great gluten-free Mineral Make-up!
Green12 replied to Mango04's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Yeah, totally not fair if there is suppose to be a nice fluffy soft exclusive EM eye color brush sent out with the mini eye kit and I get this cheap plastic generic brand flimsy thing with the wire-like bristles...that's crazy. Let us know if you get a response. I will try to take a picture of my eye color brush and post it so we can compare what... -

You and me both. This is exactly what I got, it hurt my eye lids applying eye color it was so scratchy. Hmm, between your and Kassandra's posts I am beginning to think they are sending different brushes out, maybe according to what they have/don't have in stock. When they run out of something maybe they send the cheapy stuff out? -

This is very good news Kassandra. Baby steps is a really good approach too. You can start out slow, do what you can, and build upon that. -

Rachel, the heart rate variability test does a lot of different useful things, it assesses the autonomic nervous system and measures cardaic function. I don't completely understand all that it does, but in the case of the "fight or flight" thing, it can pick up on if that is impaired. It can be switched for example and at a time of stress your body will... -

That is super fast delivery time. I think this is the brush I got in my kit, it sounds very much like what you describe and I was so not impressed. I thought this is what all the brushes must be like and what has kept me from ordering any other EM brushes (I was actually confused by all the raves) So, the regular EM brushes are nothing like this cheapy... -

Well you would definitely be the one to notice what all is new Donna. Like Patti said, all is right with the world when you are back posting in the EM thread. You and Mango both, where is Mango btw? I want to know how your EM is holding up in Ireland. Good order Birdy, I am still waiting to place mine. -
There are safe brands of crisp rice-style cereal and corn flakes. Erewhon, a brand found in the health food stores, has a Crispy Brown Rice cereal (make sure you get the box labeled gluten-free). Also Twice Rice, is a mix of crip rice and puffed rice with a touch of honey. Nature's Path, also found in the health food stores, has a gluten-free...

I just saw the commercial for that on tv, looks like you would get a good workout with it. I've checked around at the different stores in my area and there are actually a lot of good deals going around now on treadmills (and other large fitness equipment items), they are really hurting with the economy and the prices have been slashed by a several...

It appears so Janet. I assume you mean this guy, "Mr. You Will Have To Drag Me Out Of Here With Security Guards Because This Is My House"?? Open Original Shared Link I think he should have gotten the boot for that comment alone over soggy corn dog guy. -

Lisa, this does sound suspicious about your cousin. I have watched lots of news programs lately with autism as the topic. Having a reaction and getting sick soon after the vaccine, and then drawing into themselves are signs and symptoms that many of the parents talk about. Also the syndrome is affecting boys at a much larger rate than girls. ... -

Donna, so good to see you back to posting. Very stupid bugs indeed. You can come up to Boulder Paula. Rachel, you got the Grave's dx after the dental work right? I can't remember your time line. Wonderful news rinne. Katy, it really is different from person to person what they can eat without digestion... -
That's what I am finding to be true with my research. Thanks for your link, I'll check that out too.
