  1. Get those fingers limbered up gals Never! Afterall we are your online make-up friends I was wondering where you disappeared to Joni. Thanks for your blush reviews I wonder what time exactly they post the special? Eastern? Central? Mountain? Pacific?
  2. This sounds great Amanda. Life is much too short to be stuck in a miserable job. I say go where your heart is leading you, and now that your personal life is on track and your body is healing and stable (post diagnosis) there is no better time than the present for you to make this change.
  3. Excellent question! No, no glands are involved, it's a rather glandless condition. Sooo, nothing to squeeze. No scooting. It's rather uneventful.
  4. Yes Susie you must come talk make-up with us!! Another brand?? How scandalous!! Well ladies, my sample kit arrived Yay for Pick Me Up Pink! And Best Friends Blush is actually a really pretty color in the jar, it's a little more pinky/violet than rose, but nevertheless it's pretty. I must experiment and get back to you...
  5. Who would of thought we would be living in an age where we can buy boobs and get the fat sucked out of us?
  6. Oh my bad. I thought the Yeti was an everywhere/all the time phenomenon. He could be in Canada AND North Carolina? I would like to say... throw caution to the wind, get the boobs, life is short, you only live once, blah, blah, blah But my financially anal self will not permit me
  7. Hmmmm...well my goody-two-shoes self would say DON'T DO IT and pay off your credit card, but what do I know Gosh Sarah must really be sick, she hasn't been around since she got glutened. Or did she get lost in the garden? Maybe the Yeti was out and about frolicking in her back woods and Sarah-napped her.
  8. If you can tolerate herbs, fresh or dried, this can make a big difference with flavor in all of these same foods you can eat, and break up some of the boredom for you. For example instead of just eating grilled/baked chicken you can marinate it in a little olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and fresh or dried rosemary and then slow roast it in the oven or...
  9. I wonder if all the toxic binders you are on is the reason for this?
  10. This was my dilemma. My first sample blush I picked on look alone, from the website. I wanted a deep rosey color and B&B "looked" to fit the bill. Well if you remember me saying, it is orange. ORANGE. I am sure it looks beautiful on dfferent skin tones, but not mine. Then I got Apple in my second sample kit, very pretty color, but there...
  11. Donna, YAY, full sizes!!! It's a happy day within this EM bunch when you have graduated to full size containers So both Donna and Mango prefer the shimmer finish in the blushes, interesting. Someone else, and forgive me I forget who, preferred the matte. I thought I would lean towards the matte, but I guess I am going to have to give both...
  12. So true, the feedback is always helpful. I love hearing what everyone likes/doesn't like (although there doesn't seem to have been any dislikes as of yet) and how it works for them. Yes Donna, inquiring minds must know about Chit Chat!!!!! I was thinking the "shimmer" part of it would turn me off, I am not sure I need to sparkly shimmery cheeks...
  13. Colleen Awesome about the Smokey eyeliner success! Would you just die if they only extend the current special?!?!?!? Well I for one, and probably the only one , am not ready to place a big order just yet. I am still trying different colors out and really taking my time with my choices (I'm slow like that ) BUT...
  14. Carla, That's great you are getting such good results with your laser, thanks for the update on it. Lisa, sounds like you are progressing well with treatment. That's really good you've been able to get off the ice cream for a few days now! Keep us posted MiaMia, so glad you popped in for an update. I'm hoping...
  15. Jestgar, I love your avatar! How adorable!! You and Mango sound like the EM layering experts I'm taking notes!
  16. Hi Angie, That's great you ordered your sample kit I think you will really like this line of mineral make-up! Several of us here have used Bare Minerals and had issues with it (breakouts, reactions), talc was also an ingredient in it that bothered me. EM is fabulously gluten-free, and free of a lot of other problematic ingredients. ...
  17. I have to agree with Mango, sweets and treats don't have to be a thing of the past once you go cf, in addition to being gluten-free. Just some modifications of ingredients is all it takes. Namaste has a great line of baking mixes that are gluten-free/cf/an d soy free. I like the Spice Cake Mix, I have mixed in pumpkin puree, mashed bananas, grated zuchini...
  18. That's interesting Sherry. I had thought wormwood had a narcotic effect in the body. When I was taking wormwood/black walnut complex I always felt really fatigued.
  19. Whew, good to hear! Ha ha! Well, I stopped putting on makeup for the gym/working out because it made me break out, I will have to draw the line on that one, but for the very special ocasion of going 6 blocks to get the mail I think that calls for a full face of EM, and possibly a one woman parade waving and smiling to all the neighbors...
  20. April, Our menstrual cycles are a built in body detox for us women, during flow the body is doing a cleansing of sort so I think it's pretty typical to have a flare up of symptoms at that time.
  21. I assume so. I was under the care of a Naturopath at the time, and the main modality they used was bioenergetics (bioscan, bioset, vibratory/energy medicine). My body DID NOT want to detox, my system was very touchy, so they had to proceed slowly with treatment and only what my body was ready for. Birdy, great links on the Copper. Wilson...
  22. Sounds like, no matter how we put it on or wear it there are no wrongs with this stuff! I haven't had much of a chance to play with colors, most of my days are makeup free since I work out of my home Oh no, is this grounds for dismissal from the cult?!?!?!
  23. Thanks I would LOVE to not have to have the angioedema anymore, it has by far been the single most debilitating issue I have had to deal with in my entire life. Donna, I don't know if this factors into the C or not, but you also mentioned last week that around the same time as these changes above you stopped taking the Pectasol product...
  24. Hi EM bunch! I am so far behind on all the posts, have to go back and get all caught up. Kass, I would suggest you get a kabuki brush. I am sure Bloomingdales has lots of great brands to choose from. I use the Bare Minerals/Bare Escentuals kabuki brush. A kabuki brush is essential (imo) for buffing the mineral makeups in to the the skin and...
