  1. Yes, I heard that on the radio a couple weeks ago
  2. Some of their sauces are...some aren't...I don't remember which ones are cause I don't use ragu frequently.
  3. It's risky, but there are others who do it and are okay. Some are really sensitive and can start to feel bad if they even inhale this stuff.....I guess the most important thing is that you'll constantly have to be alert so that you don't eat anything accidentally.
  4. I like it, also....perhaps the wheat could be made more realistic? But that's getting nit-picky.
  5. Yes, I've tried the Soy Delicious vanilla/strawberry/chocolate ice cream....a little more...bland than regular ice cream, but pretty good
  6. Cool, thanks for sharing!
  7. Gluten will not get into cow's (or goat's, etc.) milk or an animal's meat. Gluten can be transferred through breast milk, so you should be on a gluten-free diet, as well, if you're breast feeding her. If you haven't been on the gluten-free diet for a little while before giving her breast milk, she can get gluten that way.
  8. Your other option is Open Original Shared Link (depending on how long you've been gluten-free). You can order a test kit for celiac and you'll get accurate results as long as you haven't been solidly gluten-free for a few years....and I assume you haven't been gluten-free for 4 years or something P.S. It's unlikely that your doctors would accept...
  9. Can it really take that long to get a gluten reaction? I thought the reactions could come somewhere between 15 minutes and a few days, but I didn't realize that it could take weeks
  10. Nope -- you cannot be glutened through cow's milk, even if they eat gluten-containing grains, just as you can't be glutened by eating cow or pig meat....even if these animals eat gluten-containing foods. I can't give you a technical explanation, but someone else will
  11. No, haven't tried it. As long as those bags don't have holes in them or something to let the heat through, they should work Sounds like a good idea for someone in a situation like that at college, though for personal use at home, you'd be better off buying a toaster for $10 instead of four bags for $10.
  12. I know someone will mention soon, so I might as well tell you now...never made any breads, but many love "Bob's Red Mill" flour or something...all purpose, kinda.
  13. I concur...btw, I'm also a Bush fan...Republican New Yorker here Yep...everything is normal--villi grown back and all--it's just the red stomach. I did an experiment yesterday--ate an orange (acid) and I started getting stomach pains. They went away without vomiting or anything, but it told me that the acid still isn't okay. I have been able...
  14. Thank you, once again, everyone for replying . I posted this topic in part for proof for my mother that I'm not the only one. I think knowing that there are others in the same situation is what gives both of us hope I tried one enzyme, Lipram Cr-10, and it is gluten-free, but it still made me nauseaous. Whenever I took it, I'd feel nauseaous 10-...
  15. Definitely try chebe...i'd recommend making the crust using the regular chebe bread mix, though, rather than the mix for the pizza crust....turns out better using that one to make the crust in my opinion.
  16. It's the contamination...if you could be 100% sure that no gluten-containing products had been grown in the same food, it'd be fine, but nearly all are contaminated. The odds aren't good....
  17. OH, YES! .....the list goes on and on. Then many start to think that I can eat hardly anything. They start asking about milk, meat, vegetables, fruits....also funny.....what would I be eating then? Yes, another good one came from my dad when I was first diagnosed and he and my brother were clueless. He thought that with cereals I could have...
  18. I haven't been to Disneyland on a gluten-free diet, but have also heard it is amazingly celiac-friendly. Just call!
  19. Good idea...better to be safe. Genisoy makes 2 gluten-free bars....a southern style chunky pb and another yogurt honey something peanut butter. Avoid all others, but I've had good results with this company. And I think the bars taste better, too....particularly the southern style chocolate pb something....don't remember the names very clearly now.
  20. Yes, good luck, but if you've been tested positive for celiac, don't give up on the gluten-free just cause you might have other problems. I've been strictly gluten-free for 10 months also and I'm still sick.
  21. Hold on....soy oil or vegetable oil. The topic says vegetbale oil, and here it says soy oil.....i'm confused
  22. Oh, i'm sorry....I thought it said "Hydrolized vegetable oil". I don't know about SOYBEAN oil....so i'm not sure...sorry!!!
  23. Safe....hyrdolized vegetable protein can be a problem, but the oil is okay
