  1. i think maybe cos she was only noticeing problems after eating certain foods some and some not containing G but all after haveing wheat. she had oats yesterday and felt fint untill today, ide say she has C but im no expert.
  2. posted a topic which was about wheat intolerace for a friend who may have celiac but not sure, posted it in copeing with but its not in there.
  3. my friends sister thinks she has celiacs BUT she only thinks she has a prob with wheat and not gluten itself, she asked me if this possible ( me being the expert HAHA), all i could say was i dont know, and i dont but one of you guys may so i said ide ask you lot for an answer, anyone know this one? ps she doesnt want to go to the doc and get tested but...
  4. am freakin out at mo, im lactose intolerant and my doctor said i could still have butter as it only contained a small amount of lactose in it, ( dont tell me she got another thing wrong, GOOG GOD ) would explain why im still getting problems .
  5. my specailist told me the same thing, im lactose intolerant too so hopefully it wont be too long before i can have mik again.

  7. most of the time i find it difficult enough to know what is and isnt safe, how can i expect my family who are not gluten-free to know, but saying that, it would be nice if they wuld show a little appreciation for what im going through and ask " is this ok for you to eat ? "
  8. wow this is a tough one. if she is in total denial ( sounds more like laziness than denial ) then your not gonna changs her mind and if you push the topic you may end up falling out with her. would it be possible to get your hubby to speak to her hubby, perhaps mentioning your symptoms to him he may put 2 and 2 together with his own kid. invite them over...
  9. ok i inow this is mean but i dont care , in the uk cadburys which is the main producer of chocolate here has had to recall all thier choc due to contamination of selminela. ha ha ha , im so glad im dairy intolerant, this is the only EVER time i will EVER say this so i thought it would be prudent to post it, plus the fact that it has taken them 5 months to...
  10. i agree with this one, its sensible, but if you dont get any joy tell them if you cant be allowed to bring your own food you may get ill and you might well have to sue them for " food poisoning" !!! HA HA. or you could lie through your teeth, borrow someones over size bra and stuff it, they are not gonna search you there are they, have you ever seen BIG...
  11. i agree, they are a waist of money. i had severe sickness on my second child abd the only thing that seemed to help me was ginger tea and ginger biscuits ( before gluten-free). happlily baby no 3 was sickness free i didnt even realise i was P untill 16 weeks !!!! but everyone is different and my advise is try anything once that is within reason and safe...
  12. i agree, you can get so nervous that you cab give youeself D. dont rule out something else tho cos i know i get D when my period is gonns start the nx day, it may be something silly like that. best of luck. oh i wonder if rescue remedy coul help ( in a tinture ), is that gluten-free ?

  14. ive tried those yogurts and my symptoms got worse, it may have something to do with me being lactose intolerant too. not sure if i can have them, not sure if its the lactose thing or not but they really dont agree with me. shame cos they really do taiste lovely and even my kids ate them.

YEAH i get carmps a lot like period pain, its very up and down but the pain is the worst for me. todat my tummy is perfectly flat and ide be proud to go to the gym but tommorow who knows. be interested to see what you doc says, please let us know what happens. im sick of mt docs so im going private ( in uk) let you know what happens.
  16. yeah your deffinatly right there, i get similiar raections when ive had lactose. i cant ake any antihistamines they all have lactose in them, didnt realixe it untill i got gluten like symptoms and then cheched the packet and found lactose so you need to be very carefull on this one. i use nasal spary and eye drops.

  18. thanx all, i will look them up. what was that someone mentioned about pepsi< is that not gluten-free , i LOVE diet coke and still drinking, please dont tell me its not gluten-free. ive got a chill that just went right down my spine.

  20. dont know much but ill tell you what i do, the less you eat the more your motabolism slows down so you are gonna find it hard if your not eating enough. if your doing weights you will put on wieght as yor bulking up and muscle weighs more than fat. sorry i cant tell you morebut it may help if you speak to robb in sports and fitness, he knows his stuff.
  21. ok looking for a low cal sports drink, think i may have chronic dehydration as im still C and drink an awfull lot of water, am worried that i may be watering down my nutrition, looking for something packed with nutrients, if there is such a thing, im also lactose intolerant. im in the uk so has to be a company that will deal over seas. anyone have any thoughts...
  22. was talking to someone on topic of C "" copeing with"" they said about butter can stuff you up, i am, just checked my dark choc and found no milk or anything of the sort but it did have coccoa butter, is this safe for lactose intolerant and is coccoa butter the same as butter? im a little confused, dont want to give up the only sweet thing i have.
  23. hay julie, so if i was to drink an isotonic sports drink instead of plain water would that be better and would it start to combat chronic dehydration? sorry to go on a bit but this is really interesting to me. thanx. tracey
