  1. I think you may be right about the church thing. A friend of mine left the catholic church to non denominational and had a mess for a while but all is great now. She stuck to her guns but was nice to them. The next time she invites you over to eat will be a good time to explain your reservations about that after her gift. Does she understand that...
  2. I helped with a 7 year olds birthday party this summer. Dipping ice cream, serving that and cake and other snacks, touching and hugging and I started having severe itching. Couldn't wait to get it all off me in the shower.
  3. I believe that outback is being bought out. Not sure who but I hope they keep up with the gluten-free menu. Have been feeling safer at Carrabas - did talk to the manager at C in Paradise last time and explained the cross contamination issues. He was unaware but thanked me and said he would intstuct his staff. Having that meeting is great! These...
  4. Evie - you're in my thoughts and prayers.
  5. I was a celiac baby and thought I outgrew it until this year. I don't understand why symptoms are hidden. I have heard that smoking hides the symptoms.
  6. I read about the feet itch. Wish I could remember what that meant Mine is my rear neck and the hairline around my head and my head????? I use no sls or gluten products. It's gotta be yeast. When I put the oil of oregano on it goes away.
  7. Thanks Rinne, I clicked on but it said I needed to be accepted first.
  8. I just took melatonin and it helped me. No meds.
  9. I use the UNPASTERIZED apple cider vinegar. Not for reflux but for killing yeast. Just a drop in water tastes similar to lemon. Also I use it with olive oil for dressing for salads. You can get it in the health section at the grocer. They call it "The Mother".
  10. Hope things are better for you.
  11. Hey Donna, Just put a roast in the oven and literally sprinkled it with that salt. I have mainly been using mine with cooking. I've heard good things about the c and salt therapy. I'd like to learn more about this salt and treatments.
  12. I got the rice chinese bowls from Costco. Had to try a gluten-free product. It was good but I try to stay totally grain free. Every now and then I try rice but not ready for it yet. Hope things improve for you on the home front!
  13. Happy Birthday!!!
  14. Evie. So sorry about this happening to you. Prayers that you will get through this soon and be well.
  15. Night everyone. Susan, BBN is the Bible Broadcasting Network. They play soft soothing music at night.
  16. How long have you been gluten free? I had extreme cravings for potatoes all my life until just after going gluten free and I stopped all nightshades. Sorry, I don't know about the D therapy. Armetta, So sorry about the arm. I've been away. Gotta catch up.
  17. Sounds like you are better. Every day without gluten is better!!!
  18. I have itching sometimes that has improved. From what I understand, when food is not absorbed or digested properly it feeds the yeast and reactions occur. Nuts are not the easiest to digest especially if they are not raw. I usually eat chicken soup and yogurt to help kill the yeast off. I know it is miserable. I also use oil of oregano and epson salt...
  19. Thanks Laura, you're right. Where did you get yours? Being in a condo I don't shop much because I know I have to get rid of something Really hope you are getting better. I know you will. Just hang in there.
  20. We don't have a Macy's here yet. Robe sounds good. I am looking forward to visiting this place.
  21. Andrea, When I have visited very ill people and loved ones in the hospital I take them a small radio and put it on BBN. It is very comforting to them. When there is a bad storm I go to sleep with it on and it helps give me peace. Hugs, LindaLee
  22. Thanks, I'll check out those too!! Patti, I got the toothpaste you reccommended and love it. Also got the tea tree one. I think I will be brushing my cat's teeth with that one. He was very upset about me going away and wouldn't eat for my friend. He is eating for me and I have been giving him the moist stuff(gluten-free) and chicken broth every time...
  23. Thanks for the link. The closest is an outlet in Williamsburg. I can take a little road trip over there.
  24. Before I realized I had Celiac, my muscles used to ache all the time and I would soak in an epson salt bath every night. That was what helped me. I have not had to do that since gluten free except that it makes me relax now. Gotta remember to do it more now whereas then I had to for relief.
