    Maybe it's acid reflux. Sometimes that presents as an esophageal spasm. Try taking an antacid to see if that makes it go away.

    I'm with ya there. Can you muster up the wherewithal to say "I'm really nervous meeting new people" or something to that affect? If you can convey that, most people tend to want to take care of you and it seems to take the pressure off of you.

    I've had a hard time giving up dairy. I've cut back a lot, and only eat cheese, but it's my one fun thing left to eat. I don't do gluten, soy, corn, most meats. I sometimes feel like so many parts of my life are regulated that I just have to have one thing that's bad for me. It's just unfortunate that 'bad for me' equates to immediate abdominal discomfort...

    :lol: could I create an add-on for my shoes that will allow me to dust or mop as I walk? Or do they have to be strictly suction cups? Or a makeup brush so's I can fix up my face while on the phone?

    Yes. It's very kind of you to remember. We've been working on the self esteem and gender role issues. No matter how many times I tell him that it isn't very manly, he loves to have me brush his tummy.

    I have a theoretical test. It would be pricey, if it works at all, but it would be fairly accurate. Unfortunately, it would be difficult to get the money to test it. The medical community accepts only biopsy proven Celiac disease, and I just don't happen to believe that a destroyed intestine is the definition of the disease; it's just one of the symptoms...

    Is your whole house gluten free? Can you cook non-gluten foods in them, but not let the girls eat that food? Eventually, all the gluten will cook out. You could clean the pans as well as possible, then assume the food you cook in them is CC'd for the first 20 or so usages. More if your girls are very sensitive.
