  1. came to look for news of shroomie. I'll be back in the morning, expecting to find a reassuring post from her.
  2. That is frickin' amazing!! Your kids are doing that??? Gads I feel inadequate....
  3. David, do you have any idea what the oven temp should be?
  4. Choosing to eat in a way that makes you feel good is a simple thing. Why is it such an issue to you if the people that choose such a diet describe themselves in a way that gets them the best results?
  5. 'tis difficult being such a diverse group of people. We didn't 'meet' through work or hobbies or really anything we have in commmon, except food, or rather lack of a certain food. And my little island bus is short. Makes it easier to all be laughing at the same thing.
  6. I would assume TNP means test not performed
  7. hmm. I would start the diet now. There's a learning curve and you tend to mess up a lot in the first weeks anyway. Just don't fret over any lack of change while you're taking the drug. Or don't take it at all and see if the diet helps.
  8. What shroomie said. You didn't get a negative result, you got an undiagnostic result. Like testing for your son's sock preference when he doesn't wear socks - any answer given means nothing.
  9. Lo, 'tis kind of you to keep your local physicians from slipping into a life of sloth. I am looking forward to the long weekend. Definitely need a day of sloth meself.
  10. I'm a research scientist studying the genetics of the innate immune system. I'm also working towards a degree in Biostatistics. For fun I do.....nothing. But I'm acquiring a big list of fun things to do when I'm done with school.
  11. I get 'racy' after too many simple carbs (white rice or sugar). You might just need to cut back, or eat more fat and protein when you eat simple carbs.
  12. This has been my experience. The most difficult, exhausting, brain-taxing things are a snap compared to merely existing while on gluten. My brain fog was temporally tied to when I ate gluten. By the time I was heading home from work, the lunch fog was starting to clear. If this is the case for you, you could skip the morning gluten and see if you are...
  13. Yum! David always has the best recipes!
  14. If something died in the drain it might not get flushed out with lines farther down being partly frozen, or partly empty from other areas being frozen. More likely, I think, is that the dry air has evaporated all the water in the trap that keeps the sewer smells contained (however far down that trap is) so your garage pipe probably does connect to the main...

    ARCHIVED Does Anyone Feel Good

It took a while, and I had to cut out a few more things, but yes, I feel awesome now!
  16. 90% of what I eat is this...
  17. No water in the crock. It makes plenty of juice from the veggies. Add water or stock if you want something more soup-like. You can make your own stock by filling the crock with meat of choice, cover with water (just), add some celery, onions, a bay leaf, and cook on low for 12-14 hours. When done you can take everything out, toss the veggies, munch...
  18. I buy whatever veggies are on sale, cut em up and throw them in to the crock pot with a chunk of meat on top. Sprinkle with one of the Costco spice mixes, and cook until morning/ home from work. You could also put some meat into the crock, cook on low for a few hours, then pile on frozen, pre-cut veggies and cook a bit more.
  19. could it be a sewer leak? Those can be pretty stinky.
  20. yah, but the rest of us are downhill. Only Nik and Shroomie are safe, I think.
  21. I was hoping you'd share. :D
  22. ooohhhh. A week on the couch in your bathrobe with feet on the coffee table. It'll be an adventure for the kids to get their own food.
