ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
rinne replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Rachel, I hope that you will see positive results quickly once you can begin a treatment. I'm worried about my liver too. I know that I need help with all this and the last thing I am going to do is run out to my local health food store and trust that the chlorella and other detox products they are selling are to be trusted. I learned my lesson with... -

ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
rinne replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Open Original Shared Link One of the things I liked about his protocol for Lyme was the emphasis on results and the awareness that without detoxing first no amount of supplements will help. It is much like what you have said Rachel. -
I'll visit.

ARCHIVED We All Need A Laugh...to Cope
rinne replied to chgomom's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
No kidding. A drift here, back before I melted at one point I was heavy enough that a woman I barely knew approached me and asked when the baby was due. I looked her straight in the eye and said, "oh, I'm not pregnant I'm fat". I still giggle when I think of the look on her face. I had a friend say she wished she had a "little of what I have... -
I never wear nail polish, it makes me feel like my fingernails can't breath. And that is a beautiful photo of you and your grandbaby, you are obviously a fabulous woman.

You may have spelled fourty but when I read fourty something women, I thought there were forty women who wanted to talk about something.

ARCHIVED Tailz Tests Positive For Lyme.
rinne replied to rinne's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Thanks Fiddle-Faddle. I know I'm a bit touchy about it at the moment. I lost a friend of thirty years the other day, she inferred that I was overly emotional which was contributing to my supposed illness and paranoid to think that I can't trust the doctors here to diagnose me. I will be polite to her if I see her again but I will never make another... -
Tailz asked me to post this on this board, I am not sure whether it is okay to do so but truthfully if not, please ban me too. So Tailz has Lyme and she wants you to know about it, she is still trying to help. I will be tested for Lyme in the near future, in order to do that I will fly nearly a thousand miles to a clinic that will use the...

It sounds like you are taking on a fair bit of 'rudeness', if I am understanding you correctly you think it is rude to go to a restaurant and not eat and you think it is rude of you to not go out and eat with your friends, yes? Do your friends know how ill you will be if you have gluten? Kathy Ann, I appreciated everything you had to say.

rinne replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
This is what happens Dave when you leave the table, now that you're back it might be more difficult to talk about you. Might. Rachel, I so appreciate your determination to find out what is wrong. I feel the same way. And welcome and good luck to our brave newcomer, I jumped in about page 75 and haven't found the way out yet. -
ARCHIVED Is This Menopause? Help Me Find Out What's Going On

Mine went away too. As for the Harumph, I'm with you on that. I've been indulging too with Enjoy Life chocolate chips, well they are dairy, soy and gluten free. Harumph. -
ARCHIVED Is This Menopause? Help Me Find Out What's Going On
rinne replied to DingoGirl's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Dear Susan, I'm so sorry you are having to struggle with all of this. Your question about menopause and changes reminds me of when my symptoms first started, about three and a half years ago. I was in Colorado for the winter and was excited and happy to be there and then I started to get night sweats and I was very emotional, crying all the time. I felt... -

ARCHIVED Just Got Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia
rinne replied to mythreesuns's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Thanks Lymetoo. The test is the Western Blot for Lyme done through a lab in Palo Alto. Two friends of mine in Colorado tested positive for Lyme NOT through all the tests that were sent away but by a lab technician in a small town who actually looked at their blood. The current tests which are the ones generally used are done by computerized equipment... -

Carla, do you have a link for the sauna you purchased? I'm thinking I saw one posted but am afraid to go back. I miss Penguin too. -
ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
rinne replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Good morning, I hope everyone is having a better day if yesterday was not so great and if it was then wishes for an even better day. That is weird Rachel. When you say "ever since this whole thing started", do you mean your illness? Are they the same kind of bird? Are they dying in the same place? Is there a big window they are flying... -
ARCHIVED Any Vegetarians?
rinne replied to justme's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Spunky, I found your post very informative. I was a vegetarian throughout most of my twenties although about once a year I would absolutely have to have a steak with red wine. I would find myself thinking about it over and over and so I assumed my body was telling me that I needed to eat it. I lived in a vegetarian community and would sneak off by... -
ARCHIVED Healing Time After Glutening
rinne replied to Corkdarrr's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Hi, I am still trying to figure things out too and have only been gluten free for five months. I know in the first couple of months I was accidentally glutened a couple of times and that took time for me to recover from. It took me a month to figure out dairy wasn't agreeing with me either and I cut it out too and then I realized that vitamin supplements... -
ARCHIVED I Finally Did It--my Own Personal Gluten Challenge
rinne replied to chewymom's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
What a great mom you are "chewymom" to be so thorough going in your investigation and consideration of the problems your daughter is having. IMO your doctor is an idiot in regards to poo. I recall a thread I read recently about a doctor write "non-specific childhood diarrhea" down as if it was normal, the scary thing is it may becoming "normal" because... -
ARCHIVED Newly Dx And Having Odd "issues"/symptoms
rinne replied to a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Here's a link: Open Original Shared Link Are you taking the B Vitamins orally? If you had a positive diagnosis but an iffy biopsy then that means you have Celiac as I understand it. The fact that the damage was iffy may mean that you haven't done much damage yet, that is a good thing. It is important to remember that the biopsy diagnoses damage and... -
Hi Jerri, I'm sorry to hear that you are having a difficult time finding food to eat. I can relate, when I first started "melting" I needed to lose mabe 20 pounds and I've lost 40 now. I was glad to see the first twenty go but now it is a little scary. You said you were anorexic twenty years ago, may I ask how you recovered? I am wondering...

ARCHIVED Just Need To Rant
rinne replied to tiredofdoctors's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Lynne, what an extraordinary number of ordeals you are facing. I think you must be a truly remarkable woman to maintain such a generous and humorous attitude in the face of this, I admire you. And rant away, I don't hear whining, I hear sorrow. Blessings -
ARCHIVED Quod Me Nutrit Me Destruit
rinne replied to chgomom's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I think it is a fabulous quote and if it resonates deeply enough with a transformation you are going through then why not, your body, your choice. I'm so nerdy that I didn't even know that there were styles that went in and out of fashion with tattoos, clearly I'm not into them but I have my ways of marking passages. The more I think about it...
