Just had one of these. Pretty good!

Disclaimer - Yes. I know they are not " good" for me. But I think we need some fun foods occasionally. Poptarts are big at my kid's HS. Nice for a kid to have the same junk the others have.

They are individually wrapped so great to take with your toaster Baggie to a sleep- over. Could serve to gluten eaters.

Awesome! Got a $0.55 off coupon too.

The new product has eggs in it so it won't work for our household, but I'm so glad there is another replacement for most Celiacs. :D

Can't please everyone! :D

I have no issues with anything other than gluten right now, so I didn't even look at that. There is a vegan gluten-free bakery here in KC that made a poptart type thing. So there is hope for your family.

mommida Enthusiast

I'm not complaining. I bought stock in that company. Not complaining at all!

I know. I'm just joking with you.

You bought stock in the company? Is it doing well?

mommida Enthusiast

Yes. It has doubled $ since I bought it. I figured I would be a lifelong customer, so why not?

I'm thinking you're a genius. ;) I'm thinking the gluten-free market has exploded and it's only going to get bigger.
Good for you. and now, I'm thinking I may break open my piggy bank and buy some myself.

and although I am not a pop tart fan myself, I did enjoy them once and a while as a kid (yes, they've been around since the civil war :P) and I think it's great that G F kiddos(like Karen)  can have them too. Smart company!!

(Not trying to quote today)

Irish, you are my Genius!  I wrote out the Anam Cara for my husband for Valentine's Day, it was very special to me.  What a great way to say I love you!

Keep watching the private owned start up companies in the gluten free market.  See how they are bought up or merged into each other?  (The admin "google" alert postings here on the forum help stay on top of the goings on.)  If you notice the package has changed, it might be because of a merger.

Go to your favorite products websites and read up on them on the "about us" section.  It is best if you can buy early.  If a well established company is buying their stock dips lower for the moment they put so much $ out for the purchase.  (I was not able to do anything when Annie's All Natural made the jump.  The initial offering was too rich for my blood and I think it was snatched up before "the little people" had a chance.

Please private message me if you notice any of our gluten free stuff up for sale!

IrishHeart Veteran

I take it you read my "gluten-free love story" on GD, then.

ok, I've told the hubs I wanna be a Glutino shareholder. He's looking into it. Thanks for the tip  ;)

jerseyangel Proficient

Takala, I believe right now the only store that has them is Whole Foods.

Just at Nature's Pantry in Independence, MO and saw another type of pop tart.  These come in Strawberry, blueberry, & brown sugar cinnamon.  Did not buy them so I can't say how they are.

Oh, my #$%$$ $%&#@ $%&** THEY'RE FROSTED.

mommida Enthusiast

Those don't have egg!!  We can give those a try.

Ohh noo!  I just read some of the customer reviews.  I don't think I am going to try them any time soon.  (eco-planet brand)  Can't have the Glutino ones because of the egg ingredient.

JNBunnie1 Community Regular

Where did you find reviews for The Eco-planet toaster pastries? I think I'm internet

challenged! :D

mommida Enthusiast

found them for sale on amazon.  there is a star rating system.  they got 1 star and maybe 1/4.  next to that there is reviewed by # of people. small print in paratheses (read reviews) ~ look for the forum quote size print! LOL

JNBunnie1 Community Regular

Oh when I search Amazon it only comes up with the hot cereal. Ain't that odd?

Stupid websites!

JNBunnie1 Community Regular

Oh it comes up if you google it it's not currently being sold on Amazon so it didnt come up

You might try Heallix.  It's a silver solution with fulvic acid. I just put the solution on with a cotton ball.  It seemed to stop the nerve pain. Again,  not in your eyes or ears.   Go to heallix.com to read more about it and decide for yourself Also,  I do think nerve and celiac combined have a lot to do with your susceptibility to shingles breaking out.

Celiac disease requires both genetic potential and a triggering stress event to activate the genes. Otherwise it remains dormant and only a potential problem. So having the genetic potential is not deterministic for celiac disease. Many more people have the genes than actually develop the disease. But if you don't have the genes, the symptoms are likely being caused by something else.

Yes, i pulled raw ancetry data and saw i have 2/3 markers for DQ2.2 but have heard from friends in genetics that this raw data can be wildly innacurate

Thanks, I’m still dealing with the pain and tingling and itching and feeling like bugs or something crawling around on my face and scalp. It’s been a miserable experience. I saw my eye doc last week, the eye itself was okay, so they didn’t do anything. I did take a 7 day course of an antiviral. I’m hoping for a turnaround soon! My life is full of stress but I have been on / off the gluten free diet for the last year , after being talked into going back on gluten to have a biopsy, that looked okay. But I do have positive antibody levels that have been responsive  to a gluten free diet. I can’t help but wonder if the last year has caused all this.

I don't think any apps are up to date, which is exactly why this happened to you. Most of the data in such apps is years old, and it doesn't get updated in real time. Ultimately there is no substitution for learning to read labels. The following two lists are very helpful for anyone who is gluten sensitive and needs to avoid gluten when shopping. It's very important to learn to read labels and understand sources of hidden gluten, and to know some general information about product labelling--for example in the USA if wheat is a possible allergen it must be declared on a product's ingredient label like this: Allergens: Wheat.
