Hot Flashes When Eating

I was glutened 2 weeks ago. Symptoms were severe. Right after recovering I have started having hot flashes and sweats every time I eat or drink. I went through menopause over 10 years ago and haven't had hot flashes in at least 6 years. I only get them when eating or drinking. Anybody gone through this?

I am also post menopausal by 10 years and started having hot flashes at age 38. I am 55 in a couple of months. I have always had hot flashes when I eat. I call it the food burn.

17 years of hot flashes is long enough! :angry:

I never have done anything for them as this was the same experience my mother had. I am still waiting for them to stop......

Yeah, I am on HRT (to build bone) and I am still getting hot flashes though not as severe. Ladies at the gym are still getting them and some are in their 80's!

Ladies at the gym are still getting them and some are in their 80's!

I've heard that too!

I get night sweats whenever I'm glutened. I didn't have them until after I gave up gluten. A friend told me to have my hormones checked and I'm in the beginning of perimenopause (or squarely in it, the doctor started fading out...).

My friends who are in "the menopause" tell me to hang onto my hat.
