Probiotic Help

I have Celiac and I am looking for a really good probiotic.  I have taken several different probiotics over the last year.  Can anyone recommend a good brand.  My local health food store said I should be taken ones that are kept in the frig.  Any advice would be helpful

Hi Mom...I take Florajen 3.  It has worked really well for me.  It is kept refrigerated.  I have a hard time finding it where I live so I usually have to order it.

We use Florajen 3 as well. Most pharmacies keep it behind the counter so be sure to ask.

I read an excellent article not too long ago about choosing a probiotic...I am frantically looking for the saved link but cannot find it. But basically, you want one that is in the BILLIONS, and as many different varieties in it as possible. I have used Klaire Labs, which has been recommended by two naturopaths, and a few other brands.

You can add fermented foods into your diet. They have natural live probiotics in them! Examples are sauerkraut, kombucha, pickles, kimchi and yogurt. Great starting point and gives your body and digestive tract a lot of nourishment and healthy gut bacteria!

Custom Probiotics was a game changer for my kiddo. Sent a sample and we were hooked after just 3 days!  Pricy up front but worth every penny!

I eat a lot of dairy but its intermittent is this burning so I would assume it would happen all the time. Plus I have been tested for lactose intolerance  etc and I am fine and the other symptoms of that I don't get. As a aside  my dad died last month after a long illness so I wonder if the stress of that might be a influence as a bodily reaction to stress.

You should be fine.  You may start feeling better within a few days.  Someone who is very low in thiamine may notice improvement within hours.   Did you get the NeuroMag  or another magnesium supplement?

Yes Bobs redmill cgf oatmeal I started when I became gluten-free. So taking all 3 with breakfast should work? Will I notice any reactions getting used to these or should I be fine. Thanks

Hello, @pilber309, welcome to the forum! Are you currently consuming dairy?   You mentioned something about lots of yogurt and cheese, but did you cut it out or are you eating lots of it?   Could you clarify please? Some people with Celiac react to casein, the protein in dairy the same as to gluten with antibodies and villi damage.
