hi i have to go for blood test on wednesday 25th, celiacs is new to me i was actually being treated for thrush which was not clearing up and fell upon the celiac thing as i had changed my eating hapits and realised i felt totally different when i did not eat wheat products.  as i have returned to eating gluten after a two week break,    the thrush is flareing up again i have some medication which will see me past the screening date, but until i go gluten free i dont see how the thrush will clear up its becoming uncomfortable

i have all the symptoms back including joint pain constant wind etc, should i go to get the test done early and then contact doctor so i can stop eating gluten to clear up thrush as i feel to have to wait for the results and then wait for endo my become unbearable

If you were only off two weeks, you should be able to trust the celiac antibodies test.  Keep eating gluten until you have completed all testing and that usually includes the endoscopy. It sounds like you might have to wait for that procedure to be ordered.

Any medical doctor should be able to order an antibodies blood test, but it takes a Gastroenterologist to do the endoscopy.

I would also ask for additional anti-fungal meds for the thrush.    Consider modifying your diet.  Ask your doctor about cutting back on sugar and simple carbs.

Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
