Hi Angelina. I'm a celiac who is planning on moving back to The Woodlands. How long have you been gluten free? Know any good places to shop(gluten-free)?

I am moving back to Fort Hood next month but I don't know where that is from any of you.

I live about 3 hrs drive from Fort Hood, or 1 1/2 if my daughter (Nickie) is ill & needs mom :D (She had a bad medication reaction while her hubby was deployed.) Unfortunately they were shipped to Ft. Cambell, KY. last year. Enjoy Ft. Hood. Nickie found it was a friendly place. Home is Weatherford, TX.

I have celiac disease, take care of a 22 month old w/ gluten allergy & we suspect Nickie has celiac disease. Is the army good about testing for it?

She hated Kentucky at first, but is a lot happier since they moved to a house in the middle of a corn field. (Thank God it wasn't wheat!) How far from home will you be?

Good luck in your move,

Deb

I'm originally from The Woodlands, but I'm living in Austin right now. I might end up moving back in February when my current lease is up. I do go back on occasion to visit whenever I get a long weekend from work.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.

To evaluate the TTG antibody result we’d need to know the normal range for that lab.  Labs don’t all use the same units.  However, based on any normal ranges that I’ve seen and the listed result being greater than a number rather than a specific number, I’d say yes, that is high! Higher than the range where the test can give a quantitative result. You got good advice not to change your diet yet.  If you went gluten free your intestines would start to heal, confusing any further testing,
