There are no stores in my area (central/south jersey) that carry it. I called Vance's to place my latest order, and the woman checked the 2 area codes closest to me--and nothing came up. She told me that they are a very small co. and their business is mostly word of mouth right now. The best thing to do would be to call them, and ask them to check for you. I have found the people there very friendly, and happy to help. Their phone #--1800-497-4834.

Patti ~ I'm so glad that you are still liking the Dari-free!

I buy it from my little co-op HFS here. Whole Foods didn't carry it and neither does any of our grocery stores.. Order it from there website and try it! If I had more room to store, I'd order a case of it...

It is $8 for the smallest size, PLUS $6 shipping. I would much rather buy it locally and save the shipping incase we dont like it. :(

Cheri--Hi! Yes, I do enjoy it--thanks again for letting me know about it. WF and Wild Oats here don't carry it, either. I printed out some info. off of their website and gave it to the owner of my local health food store. I hope she will try and carry it. I would be nice to avoid the shipping.

Co-ops are large 'buying groups' that usually give greatly reduced prices to the buyers. I love them! I am in one for products, and would like to join a food one...but there isn't one start locally. Depending on the co-op, they can be a bit frustrating administratively...especially if you are in charge of it. ie. lots of them operate on a monthly minimum, say $700. So a group of people will join in and make one order a month say. But you have to reach the minimum. Not all groups are like that though...Frontier (that I'm in), requires a group for membership, but I can order on my own at any time. The one I want to join is UBC: Open Original Shared Link You can always ck on a coop or buying club to see if there is one established locally. Starting one can be a lot of work. Through Frontier I get all natural/organic products from a ton of brands, at 1/2 or below 1/2 the retail/in-store price. Can't beat that!

Jen--Thanks for explaning that--I had often seen people posting about a co-op, and had never heard of it. How would I find out if there was one in my area?

I'm in the United Buying Clubs and it's been a lifesaver. I met a lady at my local grocery store and she introduced me to our local group. I truely beleive God helped me to find this group. I started my membership right as we found out my dd had celiac disease. In my town we don't have a Whole Food's or Trader Joe's so I would be lost without this resource. I'm actually getting my monthly order together right now. :D

When I was trying to find out if there was a co-op in my area I looked online and couldn't find one. Sometimes the co-op's are listed on the site but sometimes they're not, mine wasn't. You might want to call United Buying Clubs and see if there's a co-op in your area.

The prices are great especially when they're on sale. :)

Vincent ~ :( on the $6.00 shipping!! I understand!! Hmmm.. I think I pay a little over $7.00 for mine. Would you like me to see how much it would cost to ship one to you? I can't imagine it would be $6.00!! It doesn't weigh much, it's powder..

Our health food store is a co-op, but anyone can shop there. There are just some monthly member specials that the general public doesn't get the advantage of. They also offer cooking classes that are free/reduced fee for members etc. I like it better than WF. The membership fee that I had paid is also fully refundable whenever I choose. I get 5% off once/month and 10% off case discount.

Hi,

I belong to our local co-op and have shopped there for years. There are some links on its site to finding a local co-op or setting one up. Also tells a little about what a co-op is/does.

Prbly not much less, theres min shipping charges on things. I just stoped in a store here called "Its all Sugar Free" They sell mostly diabetic foods, and low carb stuff, BUT they carry gluten free pantry line of mixes. So I am working on them adding s gluten-free line :D They told me they would see if they could order Darifree for a reasonable price. Same with Kinnickinnik's line.

So jealous of you Kasey's mom!!

For others...well, to search for a co-op you would first need to have one in mind. You could search United Buying Clubs, that I gave the link for. This site isn't complete, but does list some by state you could ck out: Open Original Shared Link Or this site: Open Original Shared Link On the same topic there is a great site that lists farmer's markets, natural food stores etc. and you can search throughout the country--very cool. Found a farm I use from the site. Can't find it at the moment...will keep looking. Like living well or something like that...

Found it found it!! Open Original Shared Link

Open Original Shared Link And in case someone is interested in the coop I belong to. Unfortunately you can't access the main page/catalog w/o a password, but if interested, I could send you a list of the companies. Wait, I'll just paste it...at the risk of the long list being annoying!

Vincent,

I checked our local co-op, which is affiliated with several others, but the only one in Tennesee is in Knoxville. If you or anyone want to check out the list it's at Open Original Shared Link

Vincent, I love using Vance's but I've only been able to find it a one of our local mom & pop health food stores. I hope you can locate it. I have a recipe somewhere that you can use it to even make ice cream! :)

KM: Well go ahead and send it. If I cant get a local stor to order it, I might break down and order it my self.

jerseyangel Proficient

Kasey's Mom--If it's not too much trouble, if you can find it, I would love the ice cream recipe using the Vance's. I emailed them recently about recipes, but did not hear back. Thanks :)

Hey ~ can I get that recipe too?

Vincent ~ hope you can get them to get it.. Let me know if you change your mind. I was thinking regular mail wouldn't be that expensive.

If black seed oil is working for his Afib, stick to it, but if not, I can say that ablation therapy is no big deal--my mother was out of the procedure in about 1 hour and went home that evening, and had zero negative effects from the treatment. PS - I would recommend that your husband get an Apple watch to monitor his Afib--there is an app and it will take readings 24/7 and give reports on how much of the time he's in it. Actual data like this should be what should guide his treatment.
    • Jacki Espo
This happened to me as well. What’s weirder is that within a couple hours of taking paxlovid it subsided. I thought maybe I got glutened but after reading your post not so sure.
    • Mari
Hi Tiffany. Thank you for writing your dituation and  circumstancesin such detail and so well writte, too. I particularly noticed what you wrote about brain for and feeling like your brain is swelling and I know from my own experiences that's how it feel and your brain really does swell and you get migraines.    Way back when I was in my 20s I read a book by 2 MD allergist and they described their patient who came in complaining that her brain, inside her cranium, was swelling  and it happened when she smelled a certain chemical she used in her home. She kept coming back and insisting her brain actually swelled in her head. The Drs couldn't explain this problem so they, with her permission, performed an operation where they made a small opening through her cranium, exposed her to the chemical then watched as she brain did swell into the opening. The DRs were amazed but then were able to advise her to avoid chemicals that made her brain swell. I remember that because I occasionally had brain fog then but it was not a serious problem. I also realized that I was becoming more sensitive to chemicals I used in my work in medical laboratories. By my mid forties the brain fog and chemicals forced me to leave my  profession and move to a rural area with little pollution. I did not have migraines. I was told a little later that I had a more porous blood brain barrier than other people. Chemicals in the air would go up into my sinused and leak through the blood brain barrier into my brain. We have 2 arteries  in our neck that carry blood with the nutrients and oxygen into the brain. To remove the fluids and used blood from the brain there are only capillaries and no large veins to carry it away so all those fluids ooze out much more slowly than they came in and since the small capillaries can't take care of extra fluid it results in swelling in the face, especially around the eyes. My blood flow into my brain is different from most other people as I have an arterial ischema, adefectiveartery on one side.   I have to go forward about 20 or more years when I learned that I had glaucoma, an eye problem that causes blindness and more years until I learned I had celiac disease.  The eye Dr described my glaucoma as a very slow loss of vision that I wouldn't  notice until had noticeable loss of sight.  I could have my eye pressure checked regularly or it would be best to have the cataracts removed from both eyes. I kept putting off the surgery then just overnight lost most of the vision in my left eye. I thought at the I had been exposed to some chemical and found out a little later the person who livedbehind me was using some chemicals to build kayaks in a shed behind my house. I did not realize the signifance  of this until I started having appointments with a Dr. in a new building. New buildings give me brain fog, loss of balance and other problems I know about this time I experienced visual disturbances very similar to those experienced by people with migraines. I looked further online and read that people with glaucoma can suffer rapid loss of sight if they have silent migraines (no headache). The remedy for migraines is to identify and avoid the triggers. I already know most of my triggers - aromatic chemicals, some cleaning materials, gasoline and exhaust and mold toxins. I am very careful about using cleaning agents using mostly borax and baking powder. Anything that has any fragrance or smell I avoid. There is one brand of dishwashing detergent that I can use and several brands of  scouring powder. I hope you find some of this helpful and useful. I have not seen any evidence that Celiac Disease is involved with migraines or glaucoma. Please come back if you have questions or if what I wrote doesn't make senseto you. We sometimes haveto learn by experience and finding out why we have some problems. Take care.       The report did not mention migraines.
    • Mari
Hi Jmartes71 That is so much like my story! You probably know where Laytonville is and that's where I was living just before my 60th birthday when the new Dr. suggested I could have Celiacs. I didn't go on a gluten challange diet before having the Celiac panel blood test drawn. The results came back as equivical as one antibody level was very high but another, tissue transaminasewas normal. Itdid show I was  allergic to cows milk and I think hot peppers. I immediately went gluten free but did not go in for an endoscopy. I found an online lab online that would do the test to show if I had a main celiac gene (enterolab.com). The report came back that I had inherited a main celiac gene, DQ8, from one parent and a D!6 from the other parent. That combination is knows to sym[tons of celiac worse than just inheriting one main celiac gene. With my version of celiac disease I was mostly constipated but after going gluten-free I would have diarrhea the few times I was glutened either by cross contamination or eating some food containing gluten. I have stayed gluten-free for almost 20 years now and knew within a few days that it was right for me although my recovery has been slow.   When I go to see a  medical provide and tell them I have celiacs they don't believe me. The same when I tell them that I carry a main celiac gene, the DQ8. It is only when I tell them that I get diarrhea after eating gluten that they realize that I might have celiac disease. Then they will order th Vitamin B12 and D3 that I need to monitor as my B12 levels can go down very fast if I'm not taking enough of it. Medical providers haven't been much help in my recovery. They are not well trained in this problem. I really hope this helps ypu. Take care.
