No, Rachel, you can't feel heat.

Well that sucks. :(

Oh well....it might still work for me. Who knows....it might be exactly what I need. My cells will get supercharged by the light. :D

Anyone see Lake House? I love that one, too.

I saw it. It was alright....not one of my favs though. I think the only reason I really remember it at all is because I saw it the movies with someone special.

Ok....my Dr. appt. is tomorrow after work...and I'm soooo not prepared.

I've never met him so I think I'm just gonna go in without a plan and see how it goes.

Rachel--24 Collaborator

Does anyone know why I cant use the little dude with sunglasses emoticon?? He just never works anymore. :(

Rachel--24 Collaborator

My friend watched the first video I sent her and she's not too excited about the gastric bypass anymore. Thank God! :)

She watched it with a friend who is also considering having it done. They both decided to try to lose weight with diet and exercise first. YAY!

They can help each other stay motivated. I hope it works. :)

That is awesome. Im so happy for them and for you.

Tell her one way to lose a few pounds is drink some apple cider vinegar with water in the monrning. I know many people have lost weight doing this. And hey there are other health benefits doing it.

I tried once, it was so nasty i could never do it again lol

Ok i went to edit my last post and it disappeared lol. I googled hay and mold and sure it enough it is not good. This all makes sense the other day i went to my room to watch tv and i got really really sleepy. I feel asleep and dont even remember my mom calling me, i always hear the phone. She even called the house phone and my hubby tlaked to her right next to me and i didnt remember. Im a light sleeper, i wake up if the wind blows lol. Hubby said he had to keep seeing if i was breathing. I finally made myself wake up and left my room and felt much better. I guess my hubby is right about the mold and hay.

Im going to go make me a huge bubble to live in lol

Yay about your friend Rachel!!! I'm so happy she has decided to try other means first!!!!

Paula, yeah, I'm pretty sure hay could be moldy.

Well, I just made an appointment with my GI to go over any second opinion results regarding the ampulla. I haven't heard anything from them yet, but it's been at least 3 weeks, so if it's not back by the time I see him something is wrong, lol. He is REALLY busy and at first they said his next opening was in September, but I told them it was a follow-up/second opinion so she sqeezed me in on the 25th. So that's probably over a month after it was sent out, so yeah, it has to be back by then I would think. I'm thinking the reason I haven't heard from them yet is either because I saw him while I was in for my foot surgery and he knew I was down with my foot and would be making an appointment when I could get around, OR they sent it out for a third opinion.

Hay kills me .... and not too many things bother me, so that should tell you something about hay!

Oh dear

The word is MANY talents, such as pizza making, zeolite selling, and film critiquing, just to name a few.

My apologies to Lisa  (my typing can be atrocious, lots of typos  )

Yes, Dan In Real Life is definitely one to add to your collection Rachel. Don't you think it was such a cute feel good movie?? Made me feel all fuzzy and warm inside, and Steve Carell cracks me up! When he was dancing in the bar I was laughing hysterically, almost crying :lol:

That one post threw me for a loop. :P I was trying to figure it out but I felt like I was suffering from an on coming brain aneurysm so I stopped.

My thoughts were," I didn't know you had to be a talented man to critique a movie."

I really liked Dan In Real Life, especially when, oh maybe I shouldn't say anything. Don't want to ruin it for the people who haven't seen it yet.

I will watch anything Steve Carell. He Cracks me up.

Hey Rachel I was thinking maybe you can get one of those Mrs. Beavis typing tutor programs. :)

Rachel,

Yay on your friend and her friend making the decision to BYPASS the GPS. :D

I'll be waiting to hear about your appointment tomorrow. :)B)

Donna,

I certainly hope they have the results/opinion back by the 25th! This is taking too long, IMO.

mftnchn Explorer

Donna, glad you are making progress and sorry about the bump on the sore toe. I'd like to see your paintings, sounds fun!

Carla, that's funny that you didn't tell your LLMD about the worms. I told mine, but not about the most recent ones since that happened after my appointment. I don't think he has been surprised. He told me he has a colleague that picked up a tapeworm in China that has simply not been able to get rid of it. Not sure how he/she knows they have it.

April, I was pretty ticked at the lady, enough that I forgot to go to the compounding pharmacy to pick up my DMPS and had to make a second trip. :(

Rachel, thanks for re-posting that quote about Dr. K. Is that information about the lab testing in India in any kind of official format that I could print off and give to a doctor?

I agree with the "head buried in the sand" comment; seems like it is even more like an arrogance that somehow we know it all--and dismiss any other possibility. I just realized that I have a bit of a radar now about health care practitioners that are dismissive about anything outside their experience or training.

About the parasites...I think that before I start my next round of Humaworm, I am going to try some more of the dietary treatments--see if I can figure out more of what might weaken them so the Humaworm works better.

We put hay in our garden to keep away the weeds. It seems to stay pretty wet and moist most of the time.

I would think it could definately be the culprit.

Why is their dog's bed so close to your window? Try sleeping with the window closed and see if that helps. An air cleaner in your room might help too.

How come you can use the little sunglasses dude and I cant?

Rachel, thanks for re-posting that quote about Dr. K. Is that information about the lab testing in India in any kind of official format that I could print off and give to a doctor?

No...this is just stuff that Dr. K. shared (from his experience) with one of his patients. They're friends....she posts alot of the info. that she's learned from him over the years. That was from a thread having to do with parasites. She's talked about them alot on LN.

Dr. K calls them the "knights in shining armour"....because they absorb the metals.

Worms, etc. have an unbelievable affinity to store large amounts of metals in their skin without being metabolically disturbed by it. So when a patient is on a heavy metal detox, the worms immediately take that stuff (mercury, tin and other trace metals) coming down into their coat and they become completely invulnerable to our own immune system, because one thing our white cells cannot handle is large amounts is mercury.

Our white cells die when they are trying to gobble up the mercury; and that doesn

My son came here again last night about midnight and used my light, LOL.

I wonder if he is feeling something but not too self aware to pick it up? Sounds like he is getting a bit of a high or something.

Sherry

Well, that could be (that he's not self-aware) .... but I don't know about getting high off it!

His girlfriend gets migraines, so I think that's part of the reason that he's reading so much about it .... but that wouldn't make him use it all the time.

Why would anyone wanna use BOTH hands....one hand HAS to be available for munching. Thats my rule. B)

I guess he just comes and goes as he pleases. Thats so NOT cool.

Its all seeming very mysterious to me now....there must be *something* about the light!

I think I really need one now. I have to admit though....I'm more than a little disappointed that there is no heat coming off of it.

What the heck kind of light doesnt give off heat?? I asscociate light with heat....and this is a major bummer for me. <_<

Oh yeah...my friend said Prague is beautiful and we're definately going there when I get to Germany. :)

YAY....I get to go to a fairyland!! :D

Just another update...

I am having menstrual problems again. :( Since yesterday I have been in horrific pain from cramps. My period is also super heavy, which my gyno didn't want to happen because it's my first period post D&C, and the rate at which I'm bleeding is "bad." So I called her office today to ask for something stronger than vicodin (took 2 and NOTHING happened! :o ) and they called me back and lectured me saying I should have called sooner.

So they are forcing me to go in on an emergency basis first thing tomorrow morning. I'm not very happy about this all. I've truly never had so much pain though, as far as cramps. It has been awful.

On a happier note, I've been on the alinia and malarone for a few days now, and it seems to be going well. The alinia is causing some bad diarrhea though, so Dr B said if it continues to call Dr H and we'll have to switch meds.

I had another NAET treatment today for cortisol. She said that is the cause of my menstrual pain...so who knows? All I know is I'm really tired from it. I also had a treatment yesterday for Babesia and that kicked my butt also. Hopefully this will all start to work soon.

This article does not address migraines at all.  Yes, red wine and sulfites are often mentioned in connection with migraine triggers. With me, any kind of alcoholic beverage in very modest amounts will reliably produce a migraine. Nitrous oxide generators, which are vaso dialators, also will give me migraines reliably. So, I think most of my migraines are tied to fluctuations vascular tension and blood flow to the brain. That's why the sumatriptan works so well. It is a vaso constrictor.

Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.
    • Scott Adams
I agree that KAN-101 looks promising, and hope the fast track is approved. From our article below: "KAN-101 shows promise as an immune tolerance therapy aiming to retrain the immune system, potentially allowing safe gluten exposure in the future, but more clinical data is needed to confirm long-term effects."
    • Scott Adams
Thank you so much for having the courage to share this incredibly vivid and personal experience; it's a powerful reminder of how physical ailments can disrupt our fundamental sense of self. What you're describing sounds less like a purely psychological body dysmorphia and more like a distinct neurological event, likely triggered by the immense physical stress and inflammation that uncontrolled celiac disease can inflict on the entire body, including the nervous system. It makes complete sense that the specific sensory input—the pressure points of your elbows on your knees—created a temporary, distorted body map in your brain, and the fact that it ceased once you adopted a gluten-free diet is a crucial detail. Your intuition to document this is absolutely right; it's not "crazy" but rather a significant anecdotal data point that underscores the mysterious and far-reaching ways gluten can affect individuals. Your theory about sensory triggers from the feet for others is also a thoughtful insight, and sharing this story could indeed be validating for others who have had similar, unexplainable sensory disturbances, helping them feel less alone in their journey.
