Omg...i Might Be On To Something

Recommended Posts

does anyone know of a real good natural product they use to make there teeth white?

Lisa.....Google "oil pulling". I cant remember if we've ever discussed it here.....but its a natural treatment and apparantly its really good for whitening the teeth.

Look into it first.....see what you think. I tried it once but of course I freakin reacted to the oil....so that was pretty much it for me with the oil pulling.

I got a couple blisters in my mouth from the oil.

I dunno what it is about oil...but my body just does NOT tolerate them at all.

Yeah I have done oil pulling before. It just seems so time consuming to swish with oil for 15 to 20 minutes. I don't think I can do it for 5 minutes. And it is very important not to swallow it because the oil draws out fat toxins from your mouth and saliva. So I definetely dont want to accidentally swallow.

I just wanted to say between all the salmonella going around and the way i react to food. That i am going to give up eating everything lol I know that isnt healthy. But im getting to the point im afraid to eat or drink anything.

paula

Paula, What did you eat that made you react this time? Wonder if you have leaky gut? When I had leaky gut I reacted to LOTS of things.

I got ahold of the Dr and she said that she wants to give it one more day, then if the bleeding doesn't slow down considerably, then we will have to add more hormones.

She said I had so much tissue she couldn't get it all out. She is going to try to get ahold of pathology to see if there's any cancer. I'm SO nervous! Ahhh! ;)

And, the severity of the cramping is really extreme. That isn't normal. We'll see what happens tomorrow morning.

I hope the bleeding stops soon and the cramps go away!

Hydrogen peroxide, I have read that you can swish with this for a natural whitening effect.

I just wanted to say that I think its VERY important to stick with Human based probiotic strains. Those are the ones that have to be refrigerated. The soil based strains have not been tested long enough and in some cases in a very immune comprimised body, the bacteria's can mutate into pathogenic type bacteria.

Mercola sells soil based and I don't like that!

You can go on www.natren.com for some good information. They only make human strain probiotics and are usually available in health food stores. Healthy Trinitiy is a good one.

In some cases where someone has had bad bad gut related issues, you might need to kill off as much as possible with antifungals, then go in and repopulate with probiotics meant for infants.

Bifidobacterium infantis is the most beneficial bacteria prominent in healthy infants and is critical in developing your baby

April,

Why are they good for kids born c-section? What kind of problems can happen to kids that are born that way. My soon to be 7 yr old was born emergency c-section, but the odd thing he is the healthiest of all my kids.

I'm interested in why too. All mine were c-sections. Of them, my daughter was the sickest as an infant/young toddler.

Kassandra, I am so sorry about all the cramping and the continued bleeding. I hope the additional hormones will helpd and I'm praying for good news on the test results. Hang in there

Lisa, Donna got some whitening product, but I am not sure if it is natural or not. I was waiting for her to test it out before I got it, kind of like a guinea pig

April, thanks for the info about the hydrogen peroxide, I would rather try something natural if something out there exists.

I was also going to mention about Pure Encapsulations, great products.

Not sure what that's about??? You can still breastfeed even if you were c-section right? Is it because of the drugs they give you during the surgery - do you have to go on abx?

I would have to call the company and ask them :huh:

I am sure that every child is different in how they react to things....

Let me see if I can find more info on that. Both my kids were vaginal delivery so I sort of skimmed over that and didn't think about it.

I did have to have IV antibiotic drip during the delivery which is a HUGE part in our sicknesses, I believe.

Dear Everyone,

I am catching up! I am on page 2025 right now. Tomorrow I have another appointment with Dr. D.

I will post an update and let you know what happens tomorrow. Until then, I am reading along.

coconut water has a ton of electrolytes

Thanks for this info Mia. How are you feeling?

Paula, :(

Maybe you should take everything out and then introduce one thing at a time, in its simplest form. You might be able to narrow down at least some safe things in the meantime to eat.

You can still b/f after an c/s. I only b/f him for 2 days. My milk never came in and he was jaundice really bad. He was born 6 weeks early also. I never went on abx after the surgery. I just know my health went downhill after his birth.

I will be interested in what you find out. YOu know what i just had an thought. Since he was 6 weeks early i was never able to have the strep test. I think they gave me some antibotic before the c/s.I would have to get my report to see for sure tho. It was touch and go for both of us during that time, that some it is a blur.

That sounds scary Paula. I can see why your milk wouldn't come in with him being so early. :(

I wasn't on abx either. Just the drug for the spinal/epidural and then the drugs in the hospital. I always went off of them shortly after going home since I didn't like taking them.

With my first I felt drugged, second I didn't as they'd changed the drugs (I also overdid it in the hospital), and third I had them cut the dose in half because I was so spacey and hated it.

I wonder if you had a reaction to a drug they used. If yours was an emergency section did they put you totally under?

Paula,

Julie had a good suggestion. When I was having leaky gut and candida really bad, I would react to all kinds of foods. Someone suggested to me to eat what I KNOW I can eat safely. So, what I did is I took out the top 10 allergy foods: gluten, peanuts, corn, soy, dairy, eggs, ect. Then I ate what I knew I had not reacted to in the past. I would only use olive oil, salt and possible lemon to season.

After about 2 weeks I started to add back foods one at a time. I would wait a few days to see if there was a reaction. Usually I would feel any type of reaction within a day. That is sort of how I concluded what I should and shouldn't eat for a while until I healed my leaky gut problem and dealt more with the candida.

I still felt bad because I went on such a strict diet, i had a lot of die off from the yeast. But - no food related reactions- which for me was bloating, heart palpatations, extreme itchiness, throat felt like it was closing up - although it never did. It was still scary! I think I had lots of yeast in my throat - but not sure.

It was very scary. Then even told me to never have any more kids. I of course had 2 girls after that lol.

Im thinking i reacted either to the spinal or to turberline(is that how you spell it). I always say im going to do some research on it, but then i get sidetracked with the kids lol.

I was awake for the procedure. They were afraid to put me under.

They gave me morphine after the surgery and i just did that once. They gave me a prescription for tynelol 3 and i refused to take them. I have an high pain tolerance. Well i had an higher one then lol All i remember was being in the recovery room and i was shaking so bad. They just kept warming up blankets to put on me. My husband thought i was having seizures.

My 2 kids after that i had natually. Im really afraid of what would of happened to me if i had to have c/s's with them. I honeslly wonder if i would be here now typing this.

Ok i went and searched around a little. I am not sure what really to look up tho. But this is what im thinking. I found out turbertine is an sulfate. They gave me lots of it when i was in preterm labor. Could the amount they gave me overloaded my body with sulfate. Then when my body was overburdened, I ended up with leaky gut. Then in turn made my body just get worse and worse. To make me have candida problems. Then when my body was getting worse, I ended up with arsenic toxicity(with still the possiblilty of mercury toxicity).

Or am I way off in my thinking lol.

I read that many autsistic kids have problems with sulfate.

If anyone knows what exactly i should google let me know. The kids are playing football in the hosue and i cant think straight lol

I cant believe its taken me this long to notice this. I've pretty much reacted to all the gluten-free stuff like the cereals, all Glutino products, all the breads, all the snack bars and cookies...etc. I've stared at the ingredients to these things over and over and nothing stood out to me. Now I'm feeling dumb because everything says corn starch or corn syrup...every single one of the products has corn in it.

Rachel,

I don't know if you will see this because it is an old thread. I'm new here to new and reading around. I cannot have any type of corn. I've been off of it for probably two years now. If you need help finding corn-free products, see me a private e-mail since I don't know all the features of this board yet. One good place is Miss Roben online. You can even get corn-free confectioner's sugar there. Also alot of organic foods, even soda, are made with sugar instead of corn. Miss Pamela's also has mixes without corn. Whole Foods store is helpful if you have one--great selection.

Hi Carol...welcome to the board. :)

I'm not sure if you're following this still but thanks for your suggestions. :)

Yes....this is an old thread....but its still "alive"...just moving right along for a couple of years now. Lots of "newer" things have come about since my original posts regarding corn.

I'm actually not intolerant to corn. After seriously doing the corn-free thing for several weeks it just was very clear to me that corn wasnt my big issue....so I moved on from that.

I actually did purchase alot of mixes and baking stuff from Miss Robens.....most of it is still sitting in the cupboard unopened. I guess its probably no good anymore. :P

Anyways, I reacted pretty badly to the stuff I tried. I got pretty sick trying to eat all the corn-free stuff....which is why I came to the conclusion it probably wasnt corn.

I did find alot of yummy corn free foods though......I even was able to get Coke without corn....it was available during passover. There were also kosher marshmallows which were corn free....and totally yummy (yes...I LOVE marshmallows :D ).

Theres a Dephi forum ("Avoiding Corn").....which has alot of info on safe foods and other products. I'm sure you've probably seen it.....if not let me know and I'll send you the link.

That was a couple years back.....I'm doing alot better now. :)
