I can't imagine which of our friends and family would even think of our name with gluten or celiac ... I guess I've never really worried about it, but I don't really say anything I wouldnt' say to anyone anyway ... and I don't have my email address posted ... of course, it helps that I have a common name. Well, common enough.

My natural haircolor is a bizarre combination of blonde, light brown, and red. This color was supposed to be strawberry blonde, but I erm, forgot to tell my hair lady how quickly and strongly red dye takes to my hair. My natural haircolor is all wrong for my complexion, so I help it out :P

When I was little, it was bright red (like Vincent's son) and then it turned blonde, and then an ash blonde.

I've grown accustomed to the dark, but it still needs to be fixed, because it was super dark and my hairlady tried to do a stripping rinse on it to lighten it, but it did so unevenly, and I was supposed to get it fixed today, but my hairlady threw her back out, poor thing :(

So right now, I've got this marbled look to my hair and BRIGHT red roots

I have another appointment tomorrow :)

I saw my natural haircolor for about 2 years, in college (I had been dying it since I was 13) and then lightened it a bit and never turned back!!!

Now you look more like my daughter in law. Her hair is naturally red. I think she darkened it before the wedding because t wasn't so red. She's a sweet heart.

I'm 5'4 and I have the shortest legs. I didn't pull from the height gene from my mom's side, her brothers were 6'6 and 6'4, and all my female cousins 5'8 and over.

Good point Carla. I don't think I'll change my name either, chances are slim they would put in my name plus Celiac.

Yep Molly, the picture is really dark, can't even see you.

I would assume Andrea waterproof watches also are slobber proof

flagbabyds Collaborator

can you see the new pic? i changed it...

yeah i would think that those watches are also slobberproof.

Oh yeah i also have freakishly long legs, pants don't fit me right at all.

This is a premature post....man, I go out and babysit for the night and I fall behind. Then as I try to catch up you guys are writing a mile a minute.

im 16 and i have a purple room and my 19 year old sister has a pink room, and we just painted them!

pink and purple are not JUST for little girls, they are 2 of my fav. colors!

I'm 18 and pink has been my favorite color for about the majority of my life.

:lol::lol:

My Dad, my grandmother, my husband and I were in a limo going to my grandfather's funeral. My grandfather was quite the joker, and we noticed a bugger on my dad's glasses. We all started laughing about it! So, as we pull up to the funeral, we're all giggling and laughing ... everyone had to be wondering since we were the family! We decided it was one last practical joke that grandpa was pulling on Dad.

One time he called my dad and pretended to be the power company ... it was snowing like mad, and my grandfather had seen that on the news. He asked my dad to walk around the corner to see if the street light was on, so when my dad got back after trapsing in the snow, got on the phone and told grandpa it was on, grandpa said, "Well, blow it out you dummy!" My dad hung up and took the phone off the hook. My grandma was so mad because she had wanted to speak to my dad. So, the bugger had to be Grandpa's last practical joke.

lol

I found that most of homeschooling was waiting for them to finish this task, then waiting for them to finish that task ... of course that was when they could read, so by the end of first grade ... I spent time entertaining myself on the computer a lot when I homeschooled! You know, ya' have to sit there and watch them work, or they don't!!!

Hey <_< .... it's Luke's fault :D

:lol::lol:

I gotta wait till I'm on my home computer....and then I have to wait for a moment in time that I'm not feeling too lazy.

Possibly, this weekend....depending on the histamine levels and brainfeeze factors. :P

I never really wear dresses....only for special events. My mom getting married qualified....I'm just soooo thankful that I didnt trip or anything like that. I havent had much practice in heels so it was a tiny bit scary.

I'm sure it's a beautiful picture

I'm trying to remember the last time I wore high heels....

Let's see. When I'm with my friends I wear flipflops but I wear heels with family. Last Friday when I randomly decided to wear heels out with my friends, they called them stripper boots. I just about fell over laughing  I hadn't even realized that I don't wear heels with them.....they're all shorter than me though.

Too funny Carla!!

LOL....ummm is since January considered forever??

Yeah....I suppose it has been awhile. I switched it a few times but then I got attached to this one. :)

I think this was like my 4th avatar??

I'll put up the purple dress pic this weekend.

Ok if it's been since January.....then yes it has been forever :D

 Whenever I say thongs, all my kids think I'm talking about underwear!!

It's the best when Dad says thongs though.....his spongebob thongs

no one i know calls flip flops thongs except for my dad.

yes we do think about underwear...

exactly

Welcome to the forum, @Mmoc! Please include the reference ranges for the IGA and the TTG tests in your next post if you have access to them. We cannot comment much otherwise as different labs use different reference ranges for these tests and also different units of measurement. There are no universal standards as of yet so the raw test numbers are not always helpful. Having said that, if your IGA (what we usually call "total IGA") is low, the TTG-IGA score will be skewed and cannot be trusted. Other kinds of tests for celiac disease would need to be run, particularly those in the IGG family of tests. Perhaps this will be helpful:

Hi there any advice welcomed. I have had 4 years of symptoms ranging from immune related anaphylactic symptom sudden onset food allergy to peppers/paprika/chilli/capsicum family derivatives. all these allergies fizzled out and following a food challenge test in hospital I reintroduced them a few months ago. Since then my digestive system is a mess. i have since noticed that 4 years ago when testing for iga allergies my iga level was .62 and my ttg was less than .1 (due to symptoms I was probably eating very plainly at that time). should I insist on being retested for celiac? I’ve since read two indicators for celiac include: sensitive to spicy foods when in flare up tooth enamel weakness and symmetrical discolouration patches on teeth which I have had since childhood on my two front teeth     thanks

This article does not address migraines at all.  Yes, red wine and sulfites are often mentioned in connection with migraine triggers. With me, any kind of alcoholic beverage in very modest amounts will reliably produce a migraine. Nitrous oxide generators, which are vaso dialators, also will give me migraines reliably. So, I think most of my migraines are tied to fluctuations vascular tension and blood flow to the brain. That's why the sumatriptan works so well. It is a vaso constrictor.

Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.
